Honestly, my first thought after reading this one was "Oh _____, she's worried about Jacob again." (As you can see, I'm not Team Jacob). That would be my guess. She has a nightmare about Jacob or the Volutri, or maybe Jacob AND the Volutri...

Okay. So, the newest quote isn't even up on this forum yet, but I just *had* to post my response:
I think it has to deal with Bella and Jacob, like Bella's sneaking off to see Jacob. Again. (It'll be like Eclipse. UGH!) Jacob comes back from *wherever* he is, Bella has to 1) go see if he is alright and 2) apologize. They make up (kinda.) and she sneaks back...where Edward is waiting since Alice kindly informed him because, Uh, bella's future disappeared (never a good thing)....

I don't think Bella would sneak off again. I thought Edward wasn't going to be so controlling anymore since he did turn around and allow it in Eclipse.
I want to say that he's talking with someone other than Bella. Also, it has a playful tone, imo.
Dang it, I want a Jacob quote~!

I agree with you, Taru-chan. My first thought was: "Okay...the only thing that would go against the treaty is Bella being changed...and the Volutri would be a danger to everybody..."

Okay. Today's quote made me go eek eek . Getting that out of the way.
First, I'm shocked, because SM always said her quotes wouldn't give anything away, or be major. This seems pretty...nonfluff.
Second. It could be about changing Bella, or it might not.
Sam says it's not something the treaty anticipated. Not changing humans is in the threaty, this is "anticipated."
Or! It could be that the Cullens are leaving and then changing her. It's something unexpected and they have to decide whether to persue the Cullens or not.
But the danger to everyone in Forks confuses me.
OHOHOHOH! I just thought of this while typing something else!!
Maybe the Volturi are coming and possibly killing people who had too much contact with the Cullens? That's definitely dangerous to anyone in Forks.

The quote seems kinda serious. I don't like how it's worded. He "can't" understand? I would have used "don't", but that's just me.
Many people won't like this and it's probably not true, but maybe Alice died? I just get that feeling from the quote.

But, personally, I think that the way it was worded ("can't" versus "don't") refers to some new emotion or intensity of an emotion...
