"My apologies.. Kiae," Ethin said, a slight frown marring his face. It did not feel right calling her by her name without a title. Ethin sighed and dismissed the thought. He was still too much of a nobleman. He knew he would have to adjust if he was to maintain Kiae's company.

"Kiae. May I ask where we are headed? Once we are settled, I was hoping to ask around about Master Geofram. If that does not conflict with your plans of course," Ethin asked lightly.

Kiae smiled thinly at his suggestion and nodded. "That fits in with my plans quite nicely, of course. I wished for you to find out more about the man. And his manservant as well," she added, hoping she would find more by association than anything else. She paused for a moment to think about his question and blinked.

"There used to be an inn called the Wandering Bard near the marketplace. I was hoping it was still in business, it would be an ideal location for us," she finally said, pondering the choices in her mind. "Should I ask for two rooms or one?" she added, with none of the guile found in the Green.

Ethin tapped his chin thoughtfully. He hadn't considered their rooming arrangements. "I suppose one will be sufficient unless you would like me to appear as your servant or something," Ethin said, blushing like a boy. He was not sure why. They had shared a room at the tinker camp. Why would this be any different? Ethin sighed. He was just being foolish.

"And it is decided. Once we are settled, I will find out about those two. I presume you will be looking into the older gentleman we met at the gates?" Ethin asked.

"It's not necessary for you to pose as a servant, unless you'd prefer that," Kiae replied calmly, maneuvering around several stubborn people who refused to get out of the way. The idea didn't bother her as much as it might have - she trusted Ethin's sense of honor would overrule any other thoughts in his head. Not that she believed any thoughts of that nature was in his mind, despite being a Green's Warder.

"Yes, I plan on finding him as soon as possible. He was a Warder, I'm sure of it," she continued. "He may be something else and I plan on discovering what. The old man could prove a valuable ally in the fight to come." She smiled at the idea, knowing the 'old man' was merely an act to hide.

Marek coughed, periodically fending off would be pickpockets with a poke from his staff. He was having a bit of bad luck at the moment in getting information on current events that he was interested in. "Bah..." As he went down the street, he spotted the people he run into before, minus an Aes Sedai and an idiot, wonderful. Not that it mattered, they probably didn't remember him anyway. By his estimation, he wasn't that interesting. Still, he turned, and began to walk away from them.

"No, tell me. What is it Mel - Geofram? Are you well? Tell me what is on your mind," Esole said, a concerned look spread across her face. It was not often Melthin was so out of sorts. Esole wondered what could possibly be on his mind. She also wondered why people seemed to fear Bartello. He was another man to look into. When she met up with Ethin and Kiae, she would have Ethin look into the fellow.

Melthin hesitated as he tried to think of the words, as well as to vocalize them. As he continued to ponder, he noticed that they had entered the more grandiose area that the majority of the nobles lived at. "It would be better to show you. I just hope you have a good stomach. Other things will come after I have had a nice cup of tea. The majority of it is about my research and what I researched. The first of which is safe to say out in the open. Bartello used to be a thief of high renown. He is my ears and eyes to the city's workings both in and out."

He nodded to Bartello who had his back to Melthin yet nodded as if knowing his master had looked at him. "I offered him the task of looking after the house and keeping it in order for more then he was swindling and now he is my ever faithful manservant."

"Oh no. It is fine with me. Are we nearing the Wandering Bard?" Ethin inquired lightly. He wanted to get there soon so he could be off finding out more about Melthin and his manservant.

"Yes, it is an elaborate ruse. He did seem to be branching out towards us. He could have just let that pickpocket make his attempt. I'm sure he knew what of all us were. I wonder why he would extend his reach to us," Ethin said, half talking to himself.

Esole clicked her teeth in vexation. The man truly was a mystery. She wondered what else he hadn't told her about himself. She chose not to say anything. She would rather see whatever it was he was talking about than hear about it.

((Be warned its a big'un. Been wanting to get this one out for a while now XD))
Melthin frowned, feeling her slight anger at him. Bartello stopped the two and bowed to Melthin, the group reaching their destination. "We have arrived Master." Melthin smiled at the man and bid him off to do his duties as he dismounted and led his horse into his private stable. He returned and held out a hand for Esole to ease her off of her mount. "From this point on there are no secrets between you and I. I shall tell you everything from beginning to end. If you decide to leave because of anything you hear then I will understand."

As he led her into and through the house he began telling her everything. The house itself was decorated with only the finest every city had to offer. Almost all the furniture was inlaid with gold and silver no matter where the her eyes might wander. The living room was the least furbished as it was turned into a small study and library, the shelves filled with every book you could possibly imagine.

"I know that my Talent thrives on death and the inanimate yet I plan on trying to have it make life. As I studied and read, I heard of a warder belonging to Elayne Sedai that was said to look like a hero from an age long since passed. This gave me a small idea. If one is reborn through the Wheel, being put back into it after death, then is it not possible to pull one from that cycle and rebirth them without the Wheel or at the least in a man made vessel. The Dark One acclaimed to have power over the grave so one would think that he or perhaps 'it' found out how to do this very thing. At least that is my theory."

He continued to lead her into a secret area he opened by pulling on an unlit torch on the wall. "This might be a bit much for your stomach. Do you want to continue?"

"We are. Except I see that man going towards the markets," Kiae said softly. "I'll go see what he has to say, Ethin. If you could reserve a room for us and then come find me, that would be greatly appreciated. The inn is down that street," she told him, gesturing towards a side street even as she continued past.

She fell behind the man by a few yards, eying him. When she was ready, she approached and glanced down at him. "Do you have any information on strange workings in the city?" she asked bluntly, but quietly, having erected an evesdropping ward easily.

Esole frowned slightly, her brows furrowed together in thought. It simply was not right for things that were dead to be brought back to life. That was a power only the Creator should have. What Melthin was talking about trying, it went against the very rules of nature. Once someone died, they were meant to stay that way. But she decided to proceed anyways.

"Yes, we will continue," Esole said. She was unsure of whatever it was Melthin was planning to show her but it seemed like something she would not lke seeing. She could not even begin to imagine what it could be. But for the sake of knowledge she had to see. If it could help her quest to bring down the New Order and aid the White Tower, she would look at whatever this was. It was her duty as an Aes Sedai.

Ethin looked after her with concern. He did not like her going to see this mysterious man without her but he knew she could handle herself and knew that she would not appreciate him demeaning her status as an Aes Sedai by looking over her as if she were a small child.

Ethin continued on the street as Kiae had directed and soon came upon the Wandering Bard. He tied his horse up and went into the inn. Several patrons were seated at the assorted tables and a tall, skinny woman was playing the flute on a raised platform beside the fireplace to the far wall. After searching around the small crowd that filled the inn, Ethin found the innkeeper. She was a woman of average height and a bit on the plump side and had rosy cheeks and what seemed to be a ready, sincere smile on her lips. He approached her slowly, hoping not to intimidate her with his height and muscular physique.

"Pardon me mistress, but I'd like to reserve your best room with two beds for my Lady and I," Ethin said politely.

The innkeeper looked him up and down and smiled brightly. "Why of course! Only the best for you and your Lady. Right this way," she said quickly as she gestured him to follow as she hustled through the people to the stairs. She led him up the stairs, down the hall and stopped in front of the door at the end. She opened the door to show him the room. "Here we are. If you or Lady be needing anything, feel free to ask any of the barmaids for it or come to me personally. You can call me Mistress Jenal," said the innkeeper.

Ethin smiled down at her. "Thank you so very much, Mistress Jenal. And I am Ethin. Here is payment for the room," Ethin replied kindly as he counted out three gold crowns from his beltpurse. The innkeeper's face brightened as the three fat coins fell into her hands. She nodded her thanks and rushed down the stairs.

Ethin took a last look around the room before departing from the inn. He remounted his horse and set out in the direction the Bond took him. Ethin saw that Kiae seemed to be talking to the man without sound and concluded that she was using the Power to ward of eavesdropping so he kept his distance. She would know that he was there and would call him over if she needed him.

Marek turned his head and sighed. It was that women again... Looking around he noted aloud, "You seem to be missing a Warder, an Aes Sedai, and a fool. Oh wait, I see the Warder, never my mind." Ignoring her question, he continued to hobble along the road with his staff/sword. Hopefully she'd go away if he acted a tad senile, after all, that was the best part of being old.

(Please quote, Noj, since we're all separate.)

Kiae raised an eyebrow in amusement and glanced back at Ethin, gesturing for him to come nearer. Turning her attention back to the old man, she laughed and followed easily on her mount. "You should know I can't be fooled so easily, old man," she informed him with a sly grin. She wasn't about to be deterred so easily, as she was positive the man would prove useful in the end.

Ethin looked up hesitantly before catching up with Kiae. He assumed position slightly behind and in between the two. He was far enough back that he wasn't exactly riding between the two but he was not following either. He found it a good position to intervene if the man thought of trying anything.

Marek couldn't help but laugh when he saw the Warder behind him. "What do you expect me to do? Wack her with my walking stick?" Again, he shook his head, "And Ms. Aes Sedai, you said it yourself, I'm just a cranky old man, I don't know what you expect from me." His gaze went back to the Warder, "He expects me to be violent, and you expect me to be sagely," He returned his view to the road ahead. "I'm afraid that I don't have either to offer, unless you do want me to hit you with my walking stick."
