Kaito nodded as she blushed a bit and said it was a reminder of him and the oath "then I will keep mine like this too" he said even thou his was bleeding and hers wasn't. She asked him what he wanted to do and he let her hand rest near him as he held her looking past her to the stars "well we could look at the stars or we could go back to the hotel or we could just keep staring at each other like this" he said as he kissed her lightly.

Akari smiled at him and she intertwines her fingers in his, holding his hand against her heart while she smiled at him. He mentioned the stars and she looked to the sky, they weren't nearly as interesting as him so she gazes back at him, about to say something when there was a vibrating against Kaito's thigh. Blushing a bit she rolls off of him and sits down on the grass. Pulling the phone out of the bow of her dress she holds it to her ear and answers it, placing the coat on top of Kaito's heads playfully.
"Hello?" She asked a bit exasperated from her and Kaito's session.

Akari seemed a bit panicky and even though the person couldn't see her. She started ot pulls up the top of her dress to hide the cleavage she was showing since her dress had slid down a bit and she fixed her hair. "Dad, it's midnight, why are you calling?"
...
Akari bit her lip as the person talked and glanced over at Kaito. The other person was not happy on the other end. "Phone bill? Ooooh, that phone bill...Ya, I've had to replace my phone a few times..."

Kaito was enjoying his time with her when the vibration caught him off guard and startled him as he looked at her till she tossed the coat on his head. He moved it to the side while she was talking and noticed her fixing her clothes as he smiled a little. It was her parents and she was talking with them even thou it was an odd hour for them to be calling. He was tempted to speak but he didn't want to interrupt her conversation with her father when he heard her mention the phone bill and he wanted to say he could pay for the old ones so that they didn't need to be angry at her but he remained silent for now.

Akari was still caught up in her conversation and was looking a bit nervous. Her father was obviously not happy. "What happened to the old phones...?" She sucks on her lower lip and looks at Kaito. Normally she wasn't so worried about what her parents thought, but she was trying to be a good little girl. "Just little accidents while hanging out with my friends..." Kaito would obviously know that as a lie but she sounded somewhat convincing, other than the fact she didn't look like she believed it. If her father had seen her face while she spoke he would've know she was lying. While her father speaks she puts her hand over the phone so he can't hear her. "He just got off work...usually I stay up pretty late."

Akari's eyes widen a bit at his next question and she smiles nervously. It was a bit odd to do so but when most people were on the phone they still went through the same hand and facial emotions. "It's not technically a school night...we're on a field trip..." She falls back on the ground, laying there with the phone to her ear.
...
"I've been busy dad." She says groaning a bit. "I can't tell you every little thing..." She sits up and turns her body, than lays her head on Kaito's lap, smiling at him while she was obviously getting a scolding on the other end.
...
"Right now?" She takes Kaito's hand in hers, gentlying massaging it with her fingers. She seemed to be debating something as she looks at Kaito. "I'm spending time with someone right now..." She indicates that she wants to know if Kaito is comfortable about her talking about him.

Kaito watched as she seemed to be having trouble with her stories and she even told him that a little bit about her father. He didn't have parents long enough to remember a lot about what happens between them and their kids so he sat and quietly watched as she laid down on the grass before moving and was now lying on his lap. He smiled as he ran his hand through her hair while she talked about the trip and what she was doing. She looked up at him with a look of something and he thinks about what she had just said, he figured out what she was asking as he figured it was better to say something now than later so he nodded his head to her.

Akari took a deep breath as she looked up at the sky. Her father could get angry easily if he wanted to and it wasn't going to be about her saying she had a boyfriend. "He's..."
The talking on the other line was verbally louder as her father spoke. It still wasn't considered yelling but it was not a happy tone and her father interrupted her. "What do you mean he? Who could you possibly be talking to that's male? It's not one of your friends is it? We specifically told you to stop..."
Akari interrupted her father before he go to excited. "No Dad! I promise it's not one of them." She took another deep breath, trying to compose herself. "He's a fellow student..."
The voice on the other end was almost in shock now. "Student? I thought we sent you to an all girl's school!" There was a noise of frustration and silence for a moment, then her father spoke again. "Well, I suppose we're just going to have to find you another school..."
Akari sits up her eyes wide and panicky. "No no! You must've misread the pamphlet..." She seemed distressed now, knowing her father was going to be angry. "He's not a bad guy at all." She sounded like she really wanted to convince her father, since she had problems with guys before in the past. "...in fact...we're kind of dating."
...
Akari looks at Kaito and shakes her head. "He's not very talkative." She was referring to Kaito of course and she seemed like something bad was gonna happen.
...
Sighing if defeat she hands Kaito the phone, waiting to see what would happen. "I'm so sorry about this." She whispers to Kaito, but if he wanted her fathers approval he would at least have to talk to him.

Kaito watched as she was defending and trying to explain her situation to her father on the phone. She seemed to be having trouble explaining it and she ended up telling him that they were dating. Shortly after she said that she handed him the phone and apologized as he took the phone from her and put it to his ear "Hello sir" he said as he was being polite.

As soon as Kaito spoke there was the sound of pencil writing on paper while Akari's father spoke. "Hello...young man." Akari hadn't given her father Kaito's name yet. On the other end, her father was actually taking down notes about the conversation and lucky for Kaito, he got points for calling him sir. "First off, what is your first and last name, how old are you, and where are you from?" He listed them off very clinically and there was still the sound of pencil on paper. He was writing down the questions and how Kaito would answer.

Kaito could hear the scribbling as he made sure he would answer her fathers questions properly. "Im sorry for not properly introducing my self, it is Kaito Mano and I am 16 years old. I am from Rome but I was born in Japan" he said as he made sure to answer the questions fully.

The scribbling was constant. Her father was still in 'work' mode and could be very serious at times. "Rome..." He didn't sound too thrilled by the word as he said it. Rome was not Japan and that didn't sit well with him. He asked the questions that Akari thought he would. "Any past criminal records? What past job experiences do you have? Oh, and have you slept with my daughter." He said everything without skipping a beat, as if none of it bothered him. He had to make sure his daughter was in good hands afterall.
While Kaito was on the phone, Akari tried to listen as much as she could, but her father wasn't speaking loud enough for her. She seemed a bit worried.

Kaito nodded his head at the questions as Akari was moving closer to try and listen to their conversation "No criminal record sir" he said as he thought on hot to explain his job. "I work for a global organization as one of their field employees" he said as it was true. The last question was asked and he shook his head "no sir I haven't" he said as he kept his cool through out the questions.

Akari kept trying to listen to the conversation but to no avail. She was only getting Kaito's half and she could get the jist of what they were talking about, but she had no idea what her father's third question must've been that time.
There was some more writing and some sort of noise of approval, not meant for Kaito to hear really but not for him not to hear either. "Good, you've only known her for how long? A week? If you're going to work fast it better just be your job." He chuckled softly, loosening up a bit. He seemed to be accepting Kaito a bit, but he was still weary. Akari didn't exactly have the greatest taste in guys from past experiences. The fact that Kaito didn't have a criminal record and even had a job was fantastic. "You of course would never lay a hand on my daughter, sexual or violent am I right?" He waited for his response, scribbling down a few more notes. There was also a small doodle of a kitty on the side of his notes, but that was irrelevant and Kaito can't see that.

Kaito listened as he thought he heard something before he spoke again "yes a week" he said as he made a joke and he didn't laugh since he felt it might be taken the wrong way. He asked his next question as he thought about when he had to block her attacks and when they were sparing "I would never hit her in violence and sexually not until we are married" he said as he hand to shake his head a bit to get that last part out.

More scribbling and as he reached towards the end of his answer there was louder scribbling and it sounded like he underlined something. There were a few moments of silence and the scribbling completely stopped. There was the sound of him removing his glasses and he let out a sigh. Speaking carefully he says, "You make it sound like you intend on marrying my daughter. Is that the case?" The scribbling ocntinued as he wrote down his questions. "What exactly are your intentions and how serious are you about this relationship? I'm sorry for being so forward since it's only been at most a week for you two, but I really must know."
Akari heard the word married and she perked up, looking wide-eyed and worried. Shaking her head she smiles, "Congrats~ You just earned a conversation with my mother sometime in the near future." She snickers a bit. The mother conversation would be ten times worse, at least in her opinion.

Kaito heard him sigh as he was worried that he had said something bad and from the look on Akari's face he had. The question came as he scratched his head "it is a bit early to decide but when school is done and things are more stable I would like for that" he said as it was the only way to answer it in his opinion. Akari's comment didn't help him as he was worried about that conversation now.
