Hyronai walked into the housing apartments and strode deep through the first floor to his room. His should was better but it was sore, very sore. As he unlocked his door and entered into the dark candle lit room he mosied on over to hisd big, lush, warm bed. As he slunked past the piles of books and drawings he had left from a week ago he slipped under his big tundra world skin comforter and instantly fell into sleep.

As Hyronai's sleep cycle shifted into at least his 4th REM his peaceful night become a bit of a nightmare.

As a child, Hyro had had many, many surgeries; a couple to fix torn manisci in his left knee, at least 2 to fix torn ACL's in his right ankle and one major surgery to fix (as best as possible) and replace a shattered and snapped shin.

So within the complexity of Hyronai's dream he once again found himself under the knife though this time the knife was much more than that, the knife resembled...no, it couldn't be! The knife within Hyronai's nightmare resembled Ancient Scalpel. The doctor was nothing but a white blur but the pain he was feeling was completely visible. Hyro could feel his shoulders being wrenched back and broken, his lower back being twisted and contorted until it locked into place a complete 180 degrees from it's normal space. Then Hyronai could feel his scalp being lossened and then peeled off like a snake skin.

Hyronai awoke in a cold sweat, his sheets were soaked and most definately needed to be cleaned, but later. He rose from his large bed, his bare feet touching the cold hard wood floors and sticking to the glossy laquer that coated to preserve the floor's beauty. Slowly with urgence Hyronai made to his door where he found a letter sitting at the base of the door. He bent over, his back in knots, and lifted the letter up. As he tore off the envelope and began to read a sly smile eroded away his normally expressionless face, so Bull-San approved Clare and I to spar in the canyon...nice! Hyronai dropped the letter on the floor and made to his wardrobe where he put on a fresh set of simple black clothing and then left the dorms on his way to the canyon.

Clare found her room without any trouble, and was glad to see that the furniture that she had selected for her room a few weeks ago was already organized pretty much just how she wanted it. The first thing she did after walking in was to unfasten her zanpakuto and place it respectfully upon the sword rack. She was happy to have a room to herself, and not need to do much to unpack. There was just her clothes, a few skill and kido manuals that she had collected so far, and some hygene items to unpack and put away.

Once she had finished unpacking she pulled out her supplemental kido manual again and began to read aloud quietly. The section she read was about the basics of the pinnacle of kido manipulation and hand to hand combat, how few masters there were of such a high level ability and that various lower level variations can be achieved by those who decide to focus enough time and efforts into long-term training. After finishing that section, Clare sat upon her bed deep in thought, wondering if attempting to train for a lower level variation of her own would be worth it to her in the long run. Along with that she wondered just what kind of variation she could even begin to dream of. Lying back on the bed, she looked over at her zanpakuto and thought, It would be nice to develop a technique of my own that would be written about in books like these...

Clare sat upon the hardwood floor carefully sharpening and polishing her zanpakuto. Anyone watching her would say that she was even doing it lovingly, like she was caring for a younger sister. In some odd way that Clare didn't yet understand, it was like a little sister to her or perhaps something even closer. Today it will take at least a full hour to polish out these scratches... I'm so sorry for putting you through that, she thought as she slide the blade across the slightly wet sharpening stone. For some reason, whenever something happened to the blade, Clare's emotions would suddenly and violently shift. She paused in her care of the sword and remembered the ending of her first training match with the Captain. He broke her sword and that seemed to be the door to a world that she wanted to put behind her:

Clare was in a state of shock. This was supposed to be a training match with her captain, but here she was holding the hilt to her shattered zanpakuto. She felt all of the fears, doubts, and negativity come rushing back into her; everything that the sword had been absorbing for all of that time crashed against her with a raging torrent. All she could do is stand there holding what was left of her zanpakuto and tremble from the emotional attack that she was enduring. Surprisingly, she wasn't feeling much fear because of the captain's next move; deep down, Clare understood that the captain wouldn't kill her and that whatever steps he took next would make her stronger in the long run.

Lost in the suppressed emotions, she barely noticed the smirk, laugh, and change in her captain's stance. None of that reached her; in fact, she stayed lost until she felt the reiatsu blast hit her in the chest. What was that? she thought snapping back to reality, floating above all of those turbulent emotions long enough to try to analyze what was just done to her. The pain didn't reach her mind, and only when she tried to speak, tried to ask her captain what had just happened, did she realize how bad it was.

As she tried to speak, she broke out into a coughing fit, dropping down to a knee, and quickly finding out that she was coughing up blood. I'm bleeding? she thought shocked, slowly coming to a realization that the last attack was designed to cause internal damage, and it was very effective at that. The ancient fear of blood that she had back before she died, before she got her zanpakuto, hit her in full power, breaking the last mental stronghold she was trying to protect. She sat upon her legs defeatedly, looked up at her captain with tears streaming down her face, and silently hoping that the training would go no further. She had lost, just like they both knew she would from the beginning; Clare just wasn't expecting to lose so completely.

Clare snapped back from her flashback and smiled weakly. "I don't feel much stronger. And yet again I let those emotions flood out when something happened to you..." she said to the zanpakuto. It still felt like it should be talking back, like something was changing within that metal.
