Lyra, feeling much better now, gets up to try help kill the troll, but Jess stabs it through the heart. "Good job, Jess!" Lyra sits back down, nervously waiting for the next monster.
[[@Alutian: I'll agree with that. It does make some things much less disappointing.
@Jess: Let other people fight?? You took all the fighting. xd My 12 hours are up, and I can fight again, but now there's nothing to fight. sad Maybe Alutian will release the next monster at the time it should have been released, according to the first one (not the second, which was 2 hours late) Good job though. biggrin ]]

[[Wow - Jess was on quite a roll there! Super job - I'll record your kill. Question for all fighters: should I bring in the next critter as scheduled, or start introducing monsters whenever there's nothing left to fight?]]

Warning in advance!
I'll be visiting relatives with my family this weekend. Let's say, Friday-Monday just to be safe. And computer/Gaia access isn't guaranteed.
More than likely I'll close this game for that weekend, just because I've been keeping track of things in an Excel spreadsheet, and the thought of wading through three to four days' worth of rolls and attacks makes my head spin. confused

@ Lyra: Sorry: xd I get bored easily and took the chance.
@ Alutian: Thanks. I think you should just go with bringing out monsters when there is nothing left. More fun than waiting.

[[Definitely bring out another monster when there's nothing left. When that monster gets one or two hits, you could introduce another if there's still a few people fighting. Always having 1 or 2 is good. It keeps things interesting.]]

[[We're leaving on Monday and staying at a friend's house for 1 or 2 nights. Not sure if I'll have internet access. Then we spend a day driving - no internet - then we spend 2 night in San Jose - not sure about internet - then we spend to weeks in Santa Cruz - have internet, but will be busy. So I might not be able to help you guys fight much, but I'll try. I can help until Friday though.
@Alutian: Do you know how long the Blackout is going to last? Or rather, how long this fighting game will go on for?]]

[[Now watch me get hit...again. Or maybe not.]] Lyra takes aim, hoping not to get hit again. Her arrow misses once again, but this time she manages to dodge the monster, ducking out of the way as on of its tail spikes comes hurtling towards her.

I'm going to change the five-strikes-six-hours rule. Now, you get ten in a single day. That's one 24-hour period, midnight to midnight. Easier to keep track of that way.

[[Ok. I guess that does make it easier. One more try, then I have to go. I'll be back in a little while, though.]]
Lyra grabs another arrow, and prepares to shoot. The Chimera moves at the last second and the arrow misses. At least my aim was better this time. The Chimera swipes at her with its claws, but she dodges it. Lyra breathes a sigh of relief and sits down, out of reach of the monster, to take a short break.

Serithia grabs an arrow and raises her bow, steadying her aim on the Chimera. She lets the arrow fly and it hit the Chimera with a satisfying thwunk. The Chimera lets out a cry, but doesn't seem in the least defeated.

Lyra stands up, feeling a bit better after taking a short break. After so many close calls, and being injured once already, her nervousness had begun to get the best of her. Now she was calm again and her were hands much steadier.
Following Serithia's lead, Lyra chooses an arrow and carefully takes aim at the Chimera. The Chimera moves just as Lyra shoots, causing her to miss. It swipes at her with it's claws, and makes a deep gash in her leg. Lyra falls down and pulls herself out of the way of the Chimera. She sees Serithia make two excellent shots. "Great job, Serithia."
[[I seem to be having very bad luck. I've been hit half the time, and the other half, I miss and so does the monster. Oh well. At least it's only 6 hours this time.]]
