Julia felt her cheeks become hot as he stepped closer to her. What did he mean it would hurt them both more if he stayed away? She turned her head away from him so he wouldn't see her blushing become worse as she thought about the possible meaning behind his words. She stared at the ground for a long moment, trying to compose herself.
Still looking away from him she mumbled, "I really...don't mind you're bad luck...and...I don't want you to stay away from me. I..." She stopped when she caught herself blushing again. She frowned and pushed those thoughts away.
She then looked back at him again and snapped some more, "You shouldn't worry so much about all that stuff in your past. It's in your past now. You're not hurting anyone now so don't worry about it!"
She really didn't mean to snap at him...it was just a reaction from the blushing, she wasn't used to it at all.

Tabor frowned, his face serious. He looked almost angry, something very untypical of him.
"I will forget about my past when it stops coming back to haunt me..." his voice was calm, but there were undertone's that suggested he was indeed angry that she'd said what she had. It was his past that had tormented him, and it wouldn't let him get away. It wouldn't let him forget. The only thing keeping him calm and in a slightly better tone, was the fact the Julia had said she didn't mind him and his luck. That and she was a teen, he was always patient with younger Namir.

Julia saw the anger in his eyes, and she knew her snapping had upset him. She was mad at herself for that, she hadn't done it on purpose, and she knew she really needed to control that.
She hung her head and said, "I'm sorry..."
It was all she could say. After all, his past was a part of him, she knew, and it would be hard to forget. She wasn't helping any by blabbering on.

Tabor took a deep breath and looked at her. She hadn't meant it like it'd come out. He could tell. There were two types of being sorry. The type where you really mean it, and the type where you're only sorry you got caught. Growing up around the latter, her could tell the two apart, and when she apologized he believed her. After a few moments of mulling it all over he gave her a gentle smile.
"It's alright. You just hit a touchy subject for me...That's all..."

She sighed, "I know. I shouldn't have said anything. I just didn't know what to say, and it just all came out. But, well if you want...about what you said before...I am...willing to help you." She smiled up at him, hoping that he would see how sincere she was. She never had anyone she could help, or anyone to talk to, or be friends with. She didn't want to loose that. She was very grateful for Tabor.

Tabor smiled at Julia offering to help, "I'd like that. I'd like that a lot..." Tay had always been the one helping others...Perhaps for his own gain, but he had helped them. It was nice to have someone help him too.

"Just...let me know what I can do..." She looked at the ground, hoping there was something she could do. She really did want to help, but she couldn't help but feel as if she would be worthless to him. She then looked up at the sky, only realizing that they hadn't made it to the clearing yet, and she had no idea what time it was.

Tabor smiled at her, "Just don't be afraid to be my friend, to hang out...That's all you need to do." He was glad she was so kind to him, ha hadn't met many Namrah like that. He followed her look to the sky, his eyes picking up very little past the dense tree leaves, "We should keep going," he said.

She smiled at him, a quirky smile. "I'm not afraid," she said.
She then took a step forward, this time slower, waiting for him, so she could walk beside him. "Yeah, let's go...do you have to be anywhere at a certain time?"

Tabor started walking with her, shaking his head at her question.
"Not really, though I'm sure My room mates would like a break from watching the three little ones. At lease one of them has been there all day and neither of them like to stay home like that," he shrugged, "But it's not as if I have to be there any time soon."

Julia nodded, "I see..." She walked slowly beside him, glancing at the sky every now and then. They hadn't reached the clearing yet. "Well, maybe we can hang out a little longer then...if you don't have to be there soon..." She liked having someone to spend time with. It was a nice change.

"I don't see why not," Tabor replied, smiling inwardly but shrugging on the outside. Spending the time with someone else was fun. He liked getting to talk for once, getting to share himself with someone who cared..."What did you have in mind? As far as hanging out?"

Julia thought for a moment and then gave up. "Well...I hadn't thought of anything. I thought we could just...walk and see where we come to. We can still go to the clearing if you want, since we are headed that way...."
