Listening with interest, he thought it sounded strangely like his own childhood. His had just involved more traveling. "I have heard of your grandfather before. A very well respected man. I believe my mother met with him briefly once in our travels. I was homeschool much like yourself, with the exception of home being wherever Arondis felt like traveling to. The sights I was able to see growing up were magificant. So I must agree with your father's theory."
The waitress brought their food out, and had brought Pyralis a glass of water as he hadn't ordered anything to drink. He thanked her and she left with a smile. "Well this does look delicous." He took a bite of his omlet and smiled. "Tastes good too. How is your meal?"

"Hm..." Anna relished a bit of strawberry with whipped cream on top. "I'm sure they were. Our sights were beautiful. I had a terrible habit of sneaking out late on my own to our large pond filled with fish. I would feed them in the lamplight." The memory of them all made her laugh. There had been several koi who she had named, and who learned to recognize her.
Anna gently delved into her fluffy waffle, all smiles. "It's always wonderful here. Not quite like my grandmother's, but nothing ever is."

Imagining her feeding fish in the lamplight made him smile. Yes, that did seem to suit her somehow, even though they had only just met. "Nothing is every quite like your favorite places. Perhaps we could exchange favorite places in the future? Show each other some of the best of what the Realms have to offer?" Pyralis hoped she would say yes, and tried to encourage that answer with a smile and wink. His own food was dwindling away at a fast rate. Though it never seemed as if he was stuffing his face and he never talked with his mouth full. Eating more than most, he had just developed a talent for eating tastefully fast.

It sounded an awful lot like a date... After her last relationship, Anna was a bit wary, yet she couldn't rid herself of the smile that seemed glued to her face. Pyralis was Arondis' son, afterall, and knowing her, she would have raised him very well. His compliments were genuine, she could feel that. What did she have to lose? "I think that would be very nice," Anna said, looking bashfully down at her plate before returning to his eyes once more as she realized something. "Isn't there a koi pond near here? In the water gardens?" Hopefully, if he wasn't pressed for tie as it was getting late, they could share what she would do in her own pond at home.

He could feel her hesitation. It made him nervous, but he felt himself let out a breath internally that he had been holding when she said she would. "Yes, there is indeed." Catching where she was going with this, he glanced outside. "With such a lovely moon tonight, perhaps a stroll through the gardens is in order. We wouldn't want to miss such a sight, two curious sightseeing people like ourselves." Finished with his meal, Pyralis set down his knife and fork.

Anna had finished her meal as well, though never having an enormous appetite had left a small bit of waffle on her plate. There was an inkling that Pyralis was still a bit hungry, though.
"Lovely! Then we'll go, and I'll be able to show you the fish." Secretly, she knew the fish would come regardless if they knew her or not. Animals, whether it was because of her kindness or just herself, would always keep close to her, as if she was safety. "You can eat the rest of the waffle, if you'd like," Anna said while going into her purse for her share of the meal.

Chuckling slightly, he nodded and finished the waffle in a snap. The waitress came back with the check and to take the plates. Taking the correct amount out of his pocket, he set it on the table and stood up. Pyralis walked over to Anna and stayed her hand with his own before then offering it for her to stand. "Please allow me the honor of paying. It was my pleasure to treat you to dinner." The company was very much appreciated. Though used to it, he usually didn't enjoy dining alone.

"Oh..." Anna obliged after a moment of weighing the odds of the argument. Pyralis seemed the type to charm his way out of one, and so, she merely took his hand instead. "Thank you, truly. This was lovely after a day of complete mayhem." Anna stood to her feet and waited for Pyralis to move to the door. "But I'll buy the food for the fish. Alright? It's my treat to you." Again, she gave a smile that reached into her eyes, making them shine like a suncatcher.

"Trapped by those beautiful eyes of yours how could I refuse?" Pyralis smiled as he escorted Anna out of the inn. It would have been a purely moonlit night if not for the lights of the town. At least the Water Gardens wouldn't taint the night. Peaceful and a little ways from the town, it would be perfect for the teachers' plans.
((I didn't know if you want to rp buying the fish food or just imply it at the water gardens?))

Without Muse along this time, Shadow stuck to..well, the shadows. When a vampire simply walked around, people always look. They couldn't help it. There was something about a vampire, especialy to humans, that compelled people to look and want to get closer. Wanting to avoid this in her rare moment of clarity, Aria slipped through the shadows until she arrived at the inn and was safely seated in a corner. It was mostly blocked from sight, only those wanting more privacy sat in this area. At least she could order what she wanted without worry here. Whispering her order of a special drink, she waited.
Not allowed to drink blood here, this was what was left to do, besides getting blood from the Gatehouse. Not that the blood there was bad, but if one went to a place such as this (the alehouse also held such drinks) that vampire could aquire a special mixture. Those that had gotten sick of straight blood had learned all the right ingredients to give it a different sort of kick. Now one could aquire many different flavors, and Aria's taste was on the sweet side at the moment. Already the smell reached her sharp nose and the woman felt her throat clench with want.

Gabe quietly sauntered in from the dusk outside, unobtrusive, and yet totally obvious in the sense he drew looks, mostly from the female side of the coin. He ruffled his hair with a hand as he walked over to the bar, taking a seat easily. Even though he was injust plain jeans, tee shirt, and a jacket, he seemed to shimmer. That was credited off to his Angel-ness.
A simple glass of water came his way, and he gulping down half while waiting for a free waitress to come over. He took to observing the place, and was a bit suprised to see a Vampire, right in the midst of humans. He'd give her the benefit of the doubt that she wouldn't attack, he decided.

The waitress finally brought out the drink, leaving the bottle with Aria. She smiled gratefully and inclined her head. "My thanks." Smiling in the dumb way that all humans do upon recieving such a smile from a vampire. With the waitress gone, the woman sipped at her drink, careful to not look as if she needed it so badly. When was the last time she had fed? Not for some time. Surely she had meant to when she arrived to last her several days, but then she had gotten tangled with students and such. Then, in the slightest way only noticed by those with trained eyes, her demeanor turned cautious. One of the light was here. Born of darkness she felt his presence. There, at the bar. Her shining eyes found him for a moment of time and then drifted elsewhere.
An angel, and not a fallen at that. Why would he be here? It was then she felt herself slipping back into her world of confusion. Don't bother with those answers, don't bother to see. Poor Shadow didn't know how to overcome it and didn't know that it was her own father to blame for her shortcomings. He had not made her clumsy, but with the help of his wife, her mother, he had sent her into a world of chaos inside her own mind. Her sharp mind and memory still took in and calculated everything, but it was lost from her concious. Memories did not come so easily and things thought only a moment before were forgotten.
She poured another glass.

Two people walked through the door. An elven woman with a gentle manner along with her friend, a black-winged angel, came up to the service desk chatting quietly. They were seated at a small booth where they could have a bit of privacy, as Anna knew Damien to be a rather shy fellow. They were both given menus to pour over, and complimentary glasses of water.
"Lovely, isn't it?" Anna said, already knowing what she was going to order.

"Why yes it is." The black-winged angel replied to his elven friend, looking around the Inn. He then relaxed and started looking over his menu, curious as to what they had.

"So, what have you been doing since I last saw you? I think I was just about to go out on my last dig..." Anna hadn't completely abandoned her archaeological studies, but it had been nearly five months since they had last seen eachother.
