Jess loosend her grip slightly on the boys' wrists. "You're really sorry? I'm the one who's sorry. How many times have I heard that from you in our seven years here at Hogwarts, Kate?! Our friendship isn't what it used to be. I'd rather learn or play quiddich, you'd rather flaunt your money and you're "pure blood". But what would happen if I told the Slytherins your secret, hmm?" Jess yelled at Kate. She turned around and looked Kate in the eyes, tears welling up in her own. "You've said you're sorry too many times, Kate."

Kate blushed slightly at the boys...Jimmy was it?...forwardness.
But her attention soon turned to Kate.
"So thats it right? I thought Gryffindors were the 'forgive and forget' ones. You'll regret Jess, for all you know, this may have just been the real thing" she said sadly, wiping a stray tear from Jess's eye.
"Don't frett, I'm sure I'll find a real friend somewhere. No need to cry for me sweety"

Bella had come outside, catching alovely show. She grinned as Kate said something to the stupid girl who had messed with them earlier.
'Why did I yell at her? Shes pureblood, she understands.' She wouldn't ever try to break up her sister's marriage, ans she knew that. Making sure Kate could see, she smiled. It was a forgiving smile of approval. She nodded ever so slightly, and came to stand next to Kate.

Jessica slapped Kate's hand away from her face. She rubbed the rest of the tears away. "If it were the real thing, you would have remembered, that I'm in Ravenclaw and we're more level headed. And I hold grudges. Being friends for half our lives, you would think you'd know that." She spun around and took the Jimmy and Nick's hands just as Bella was coming over. "Now we really have to go." she said.

Bella felt her blood begin to bubble. She had touched Kate!? The audacity. She moved towards them, almost gliding, murder in her face.

"Right..." Kate muttered.
She had forgotten she was in Ravenclaw.
Had they really grown that much apart?
"Bella...its really quite alright" she assured her friend, "lets go yes? She's not worth it" she said, looking into Jessicas eyes.

Bella nodded. She couldn't waste her time on that. She frowned at their backs.
"The meet, you know the one Lucius is taking us too, one is tonight. We have to go! Its in the Forbidden Forest!" She grinned, eyes sparkling.

"Oh thats right! We better hurry then!" Kate agreed.
She looked at Jessica and whispered in her ear, "Just remember what I said..", and with that she winked at the small group and linked arms with Bella, a huge smile playing on her full lips.

"We have to go change into something...darker. And, Lucius said to call the leader, 'My Lord'." She whispered to Kate, darkly.

"My kind of man!" She let her wand hand finger her prized possession. She pulled out a cigarette casually and lit it.

"What the hell is going on here??" Nicholas asked Jess as they walked away from Kate and Bella. "and why are you crying?" He asked with a bit of a worried tone in his voice.
'So they used to be good friends? and what about this secret of Kate's?' Nick thought as questions whirled through his head.
