Lily noticed that Peter seemed to feel relieved and smiled. Then she got up and walked over to the lake. Ahhhh! It looks so beautiful! She looked at the water, as if trying to see what was below."I kind of wonder what really is underneath the water though- not that I would want to be the one to look." She laughed.

"Well, we do know that there is a squid," Peter said, grinning. "That we can verify." He gestured toward a large pink tentacle that had shot out of the water to grab at something and was now retreating rapidly beneath the water.

Lily pretended to pull out a piece of paper and a pen. "Ok, that means we can put 'Giant Squid' on our "List of Animals/Things in the Lake at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry". She pretended to write down 'giant squid' on the 'paper'.

Peter laughed. Not his usual nervous, jittery laugh - more of a genuine laugh. It was easy to be comfortable around Lily. "That and fish. I'm pretty sure there's fish."

Lily smiles and pretends to write 'fish' on her list. "Hmmm...I wonder if they're's any exotic or magical kind of fish..." She rubbed her chin in a pondering-detective sort-of way.

Lily nodded, then looked at the Lake again. It looks so peaceful at the top. I wonder what it's like underneath the water...

Peter walked down to the edge of the lake and sat there, stretching out his legs and yawning a little. Today is a good day... he thought for the thousandth time that day.

Lily walked over and sat down by Peter. "It's really beautiful, isn't it?" she said quietly, as if talking too loudly would ruin the beauty. She sighed and added, "I wish everything could be so peaceful."

Lily sighed, then noticed her stomach rumble. She laughed. "Well, I think my stomach wants to be fed soon. Do you happen to know how long until mealtime?"

Peter looked at the sun's angle in the sky for a reference. "Should be pretty soon, I think. Want to head inside?" he asked. He didn't say so, but he was also extremely hungry.

Peter laughed at her enthusiasm and stood. "Haha, well we'd better get inside, then! Letting you starve wouldn't look good on my record," he said. Wow, when did I get so witty? he mused. Shrugging it off, he politely offered a hand to help her up.

Lily took Peter's hand and stood up. Since he wanted to be a little witty, she decided to also. "No, I suppose not because the hunger police might come after you."
