Evil-San this would be my suggestion ....
1st - Try and get a headcount of who is still here in the squad. Seated/Unseated members which is what you are doing. Set a time limit for their reply to the thread.
2nd - Any seated members who do not reply by the date posted loose their seats. Thus clearing the board of those members listed who are not active.
3rd - Assign seats to those who are active and who are not seated. Have each of them send in a RP sample and assign seats to those who have good RP skills.
4th - Start training those new seated members. Shikai and other training needed to build them up and make them current. If we had a squad or guild wide mission most of the members we have right now would not be able to help because they have no powers/abilities. So this is a MUST!!
5th - You don't have to do this alone .... its too much work for just one person. Use the seated members to help out. I tried to get with the VC but got no reply ... if he/she is inactive then let me know and I will try out for the position being that I am the next highest rank. I will not sit on my hands ... I'll help get this done ASAP!!

 ~* Evil Wolf*~This is the third time I've done an Activity check, and I plan to do your first 3 suggestions. ^^ As for Training the new members, I'm training two people for Shikai and one I'm going to train for Shunpo. If you wish, you may train the new members in anything but Shikai, for they have to have been in the guild at least two months to obtain it. less if I find them goof RPers. ^^ ~*Captain of Squad 10*~

I recommend a thread for people who may have to disappear, or a forewarning before they do. For example, perhaps a loss of internet services, power, or maybe even a trip away from home.

Well, I just thought of another.... I didn't see one... if it's there, let's blame that it's 230 in the morning, and I got about 6 hours of sleep last night. Anyways, how about a thread for just posting? a hangout for the squad?
1. It'll give us a place to meet up with fellow squad members,
2. It'll keep us more active inside of the guild.

1. Squad Training, to let us get used to battling and have a 'test' of each others abilities.
2. Squad Tournament, not seated, just to see who can truly be called the 'best' in the squad.
3. Maybe somewhere in the squad could be an apartment or some room-like area where the squad members can go to have a 'home' and relax somewhere.

Maybe we should have a small plot with another squad or just have a little squad battle with them, like a tournament.

*now almost 1 year later*
So I think it's about time the squad came back, i mean the guild is pretty much dead, so with 1 active squad maybe things can go back and be active or at least alive.
So suggestions:
1. head count, find the active ones you know the usual stuff with that.
2. A seating tourney, you know it helps regulate things, sort of.
3. I was thinking some form of squad event or story thing I don't know I'm really just throwing s**t out here....
That's my 3 cents.
