"Emi. Emi, wake up. Your mom and brother are home."
"All the more reason for me to not wake up at all, Dad."
Shikamaru sat on his daughter's bed, a slight frown on his face. "I know your mom can be troublesome, but that's no reason to not see her."
"Its not Mom who's the problem."
"Oh." Shikamaru sighed. Sometimes he wished that he and Temari had never had a daughter. Girls were still so troublesome. "You don't want to see Hiro, huh?"
"He's a guy. Why would I ever want to see him?"
"I'm a guy too, Emi."
Emi rolled over, and looked at her father. "You're different, Dad."
"Different, huh? Well, your brother is running an errand for me. Why don't you come see your mother?"
"Okay. Just give me a minute to change."
Shaking his head, Shikamaru left his daughter.
With a sigh, Emi rolled out of bed. Gosh I hate waking up. Hopefully there's something to eat out there. She finished putting on her clothes, and headed out to talk to her mother.

(haha sorry. Got a little too impatient. I'll stop with the NPC for a while. sweatdrop alright awesome a sister =D.)
"Wait than that means I am with Emi?!" Exclaimed Hiro. Everyone gave a "whats the problem?" type look to Hiro.
"I mean yeah! Emi is gonna be my with me!" Giving a very faint smile.
Ah crap! I wonder if shes still mad at me. I never understood why she was so pissed off at me when I was leaving with mom. I was hoping I wouldn't have to see her so soon. She's probably has forgotten about it now...I hate giving myself false hope.
"I'll go get Emi and meet you guys at the Academy." sighed Hiro.
"Oh and mai, when you beat up random guys don't do it near my house. Or if you do throw them away farther from my house. I don't want any troublesome thing happening outside our house when I am asleep. Thanks!" waving at Mai.

((Oh darn. Now I have to decide why Emi's mad at Hiro. xD))
"Hello, Mom. Oooh, tea!" Emi pounced on the tea, and downed it all in one gulp. She glanced at her father, who was back to playing chess. Great. He got me up for no reason. I'm sure he and mom would rather be alone, anyway.
Emi looked up to see a genuine smile on her mother's face. She smiled back, happy to see that she wasn't such a nuisance, after all."I've missed you, Mom."
"Hiro, too?"
Emi froze up. Darn it, Mom. You have that annoying habit of always bringing up the most uncomfortable subjects. How troublesome. She decided the best plan was to lie through her teeth. "Of course. I missed both of you."

On the way home he saw those guys still knocked out from earlier by Mai, but Hiro finally arrived at his house and headed inside.
"I'm home!" Hiro yelled.
"Hey dad wheres Em.." suddenly seeing her sister. He was shocked at her sudden appearance. On top of that he was also surprised at how much she had grown since she left with mom. She was almost taller than him. Before too long he noticed he was staring and quickly looked away.
"H.h..hey sis" very nervous and trying to avoid eye contact.

"I'm home! Hey dad, where's Em..."
Emi glanced up, and saw her brother, Hiro, for the first time since he had left with their mother. He had gotten a bit taller, but she was almost as tall as him, now. His hair was different, too. He looked a bit less confident than normal, though. He's staring, she thought, and stared right back, defiant.
He looked away. "H.h...hey sis."
"Hello, Hiro," she said coolly, keeping all emotion out of her voice. "How have you been?"
I haven't seen him in forever. He's changed quite a bit. I remember when he left, I was so mad at him, because he told Jubei Uzamaki that I liked him. Which was a complete lie, of course. Boys are so troublesome.
((See? Managed! Its a lame reason, but oh well. xD))

Surprised that she responded like there was no problem at all.
Wait could it be that she has forgotten about why she was mad at me. Or is this some type of test. Yeah that's right shes probably planning something....what am I doing?! No way she would do something like that. She has always been blunt never mischievous. That's something I would do.
"Well I've been better. How about you? Has dad been getting you ready for Akatsuki?" asked Hiro. But before she answered he came close to her face. He poked her in the nose and with very cheesy and mischievous smile, "and hows hunting for a boyfriend coming along?~"
Without noticing, the nervousness within him was gone and he began acting like he did in the old days with his sister.

Emi glared at her brother, and batted at his hand, annoyed. "Boyfriend hunting? Have you completely forgotten who I am? I'm never getting married. Boys are too troublesome to deal with."
It's hard to stay mad at him. I'd forgotten what an idiot he is. He's probably forgotten that I was ever angry with him at all.
Answering his other question, she replied, "Of course Dad's been getting me ready for the Akatsuki. What else is there to do around here?"

Hiro laughed as Emi batted his hand.
Shikimaru looked at Emi for a minute, "you know, I am still in the room."
"Leave your sister alone Hiro", Temari told Hiro from the kitchen.
"Ok ok. Well I wish I had nothing to do so I could sleep all day, but the Hokage has a mission for us. There's gonna be an undercover akatsuki member participating in this years Chuunin exam. Naruto-sama has assigned our teams to participate in this years Chuunin exam. I know I know, we are already Chuunins, but he pulled some strings to make us genins so we can participate. So hurry up and eat breakfast. We have to go to the academy to meet the other students from the other nations."

Emi groaned. "Genin, again, huh? Do we have to act stupid, and inexperienced? Because that will be troublesome."
Without waiting for an answer, she walked into the kitchen. Ignoring her parents, who were clearly happy to see each other again, she grabbed a granola bar. There. Something I can eat on the way. She returned to the front room, and stared at her brother. "Well? Can we go now?"

While Emi went to get some food, Hiro sat next to his dad playing chess. He was in a deep pondering state now. Her sister quickly returned,
"Well? Can we go now?"
Hiro concentrating on the game came back to reality,
"oh sorry...ok we can g..." suddenly stopping and staring at her sisters hand.
He was staring at the granola bar. He put his finger on his mouth than slowly pointed to the granola bar. A small drool came out of his mouth that he cleaned really fast and went back to pointing.
"Ummm... did I ever tell you that were the nicest, most wonderf..." before he finished he quickly snatched it out of her hand and put it in his mouth.
"lishk Ish shaid yoush the nishest, mosht woshndershul shishter evesh."
(Like I said, your the nicest, most wonderful sister ever.)
Talking with his mouth full and than smiling.

Kira sighed and stood up.
"I'm gonna go get ready for the Chunin exams, and tell my dad the story. Then I'm gonna beg to stay out of trouble. See you guys at the academy!" she then stood up, and left the mansion, heading back to the training ground, making up excuses as she ran. Naruto wanted to see me? No. I wanted to meet up with Jubei and Mai for a 411 on our mission? Yes! It's perfect, and kinda true!

Hiro stared at her granola bar, looking like a starving man presented with a 12 course meal. Get your own, get your own granola bar!
"Ummm... did I ever tell you that were the nicest, most wonderf..."
He's gonna steal it...
Hiro snatched her granola bar right from her hand, and shoved it in his mouth. "lishk Ish shaid yoush the nishest, mosht woshndershul shishter evesh."
Emi mentally counted to ten, resisting the urge to punch her brother's lights out. He hasn't changed at all! He's still so troublesome.
Instead of punching him, Emi turned back into the kitchen, and got another granola bar. Ignoring her mother's questioning look, she went back into the front room, and took a huge bite of her granola bar, glaring at her brother all the while.
"Now can we go?"

Swallowing the granola bar and than licking his fingers, "alright, we can go now." Surprised she didn't hit him, but he Hiro tried not think about it too much.
"Mom we are leaving!", he yelled.
"All right be careful you two. And Hiro try to not cause too much trouble for your sister."
Hiro walked out of the house making it like he didn't hear his mom's last comment.
"What have you been up to since I left for the village hidden in the sand? Hopefully you haven't gotten too strong", smiling at Emi while walking to the academy.

Emi followed her brother out the door, finishing her granola bar as she went. She rolled her eyes at her mother's last comment. Like Hiro could cause trouble for me. I know how to deal with him.
"What have you been up to since I left for the village hidden in the sand?" Hiro asked, smiling at her. "Hopefully you haven't gotten too strong"
She shrugged, not really wanting to answer. "I've been training with dad, of course. When he could wake me up. And you'll find out how strong I am when we get to the exams."
And maybe you'll be surprised. I haven't been completely lazy this entire time. I have some new tricks up my sleeves.
