Lila smiled shyly when the red headed stranger came and took a drink from the blond man's mug. He was quite tall and Lila took a fancy on him.
'He's funny and kind and-- Oh MY!' Lila caught her self from thinking about it any more. This man could still be a hunter, especially with that entire gunk on him. She thought.
Jasper than came and reassured the mage that everything is alright and that she was like that when she ordered some pie from the past too...
'Hey, wait a minute! What's that suppose to mean?! Ah crap, I forgot my main purpose for being in here again!' Lila passed through the small group that had formed and moved away. On her way, her shoulder kind of collided with the red head stranger and her faced than flushed deep shades of reds and pinks. Using inhumanly speed, she went back into the kitchen.
Moments later, Lila returns back out with her keys and some more money for lost chocolate bars. She searched the room but saw the red headed stranger gone and her face fell a bit. She glances around some more and sees a new face for the night.
'A new costumer? Ten minutes before the taverns close? Strange.' She thought. Jasper and the white mage were conversing like all good people do and Lila heaved a sigh and started heading her way out. But than music started to play. Lila stop in her tracks and recalls past and very distant memories of music being played. The sound she's hearing now, it reminded her of something back from the past, something warm, something... gone. She turns to see that the new costumer was playing the music. His eyes were closed and he seemed so relaxed and at ease, as if he and his music were one. She took a seat next to the playing stranger and lied her head down. She watches from the corner of her eyes, the stranger playing his music, listening to how the music sound so clear and beautiful. She closed her eyes and laughter and smiles were creeping into her mind from its dark mist. Tears leaked down her pale cheeks and she quietly nods off to sleep.
((Happy late Independance Day Evry1!!))

Clif jumped up and ran. There was no point in kneeling now, and he needed speed. As he ran, he fired round after round behind himself, but the Shadows always seemed to know where the slugs were gonna land, dodging each one with precision accuracy. Moving fast now, Clif could just barely see the outline of where shadow met Shadow. "Raptors. I just picked a fight with four Raptors." Raptors was a term used by Hunters to describe these particular brand of flying-type Shadows. Razor sharp teeth lineing their already blade-like beaks were only the tips of the iceberg. The creatures were cunning, ruthless pack hunters. They strategized to catch their prey. Raptors were, thankfully, rare in Twilight City. They are so similar to their relativly less harmful Aeries companions, however, that they are sometimes mistaken as such by the few half-wits that choose to engage them.

Opening his eyes again when he finally drew the song to a close, Andrew was surprised to see a girl sleeping in a nearby chair. One eyebrow raised itself and a wry smile quirked at his lips. Really, had she found the song that boring? It was only after this thought that Andrew noticed the dampness on her cheeks. This made him curious, but even if the girl had been awake it was not in his nature to pry into another's affairs. Instead, he just played another song and let her be. He supposed he would at least wake her before he left, but no need to interrupt her dreams before then.

Clif had to think quick. His eyes scanned the room for anything, anything he could use. Little did he know that the Raptors had aleady made their plan, and were implimenting it. They swooped and arced over and around one another, taking their cues from the lead Raptor's body language. Humans couldn't see Shadows, not clearly, and this was a fact that the Raptors took full advantage of. As they wove in and out of formation, one dropped out of sight, flying behind the cover of long forgotten machines, all unknown to the human.

The little mage's memory still wasn't kicking in, until Jasper leaned toward him. Just before she started to ask her question, his bright eyes widened. A flashback whizzed before him briefly, recalling the sheer terror of both being threatened and witnessing a person's death. He stared at her somewhat blankly.
"Y-Yeah... I remember you." His voice was barely there anymore as his eyes phased out of focus and he was back to that time, when Jasper warned him not to wander alone and then darted off. He'd nearly died again after she left; he'd suffered an attack of a different sort, the stress of the fear and shock causing his lungs to quit half their work. After he fainted, he had woken up in front of a hospital - but who had put him there that time?
The handle of the mug Nathan was holding suddenly cracked in his hand, white from the tension of his grip. He jolted back into present time, staring at the mug helplessly. "S...sorry..." he whispered. "I... don't know how to thank you properly for what you did. I've never been saved in that sense before..."

[Check Updates~]
Alexander was surprised to end up almost running into someone walking in, though he recovered quickly enough. "It's no trouble, really." He made a dismissive gesture, as if brushing away the thought that something was wrong.
He couldn't help pause to listen as the saxaphone player started to do what he did best, though the tune was muffled somewhat. The man had talent.
Catching his train of thought again, he shook his head and looked around the street. Clouds overhead, obscuring the stars and glowing moon that were usually present. A good chance for all the beasties to be out and about...
The Lord found himself restlessly pacing back and forth in front of the tavern as he thought. He didn't want to go straight home anymore. He needed something to do, someone to talk with, something. He just... couldn't not do it. The ruby-haired man had had a taste of his favorite activity, and needed more. Knowledge, flowing all around him from person to person... There were so many of those people that he could easily befriend and learn more about. He was sure half of them were hunters like himself, and at least one may even be a vampire. Those would be interesting lives...
He couldn't fathom why people always assumed he'd kill them if he found out they were a vampire or other creature as such. That wasn't his job. He wouldn't even consider it unless he directly had an assignment to do so; otherwise it was just rude. If you had a bounty on your head, potentially, yes. But the average vampire had nothing to fear from the hunter; he wouldn't indiscriminately kill people he met in bars or taverns. That would be the epitome of impolite.
He mulled over the idea of staying out longer as he slowly wandered down the street, silently passing beneath neon lights and pools of shadow.

It happened too fast. Before he knew what had happened, Clif had been backed into a corner, Raptors on either side of him. It seemed to him that one had snuck off while the others chased him into a bottleneck. Very clever. He was trapped, the flickering, near-invisible edges of the Shadows blending in with the alternating light and dark bands of moonlight contrasted by darkness. His eyes were still frantically searching, looking around, looking around. There seemed to be no way out of this one, and he almost conceded defeat. Almost. His eyes came upon the machine at his right, and they widened like sponges, taking in the water of their visuals. It was an old painting machine, the kind the used to use to paint cars with on an assembly line. And the nozzel was still active, or so said the pressure gauges. As fast as he could, Clif reached for the nozzel, then began to spray. HJe sprayed everywhere, up, down, left, right, until everything was drenched in hot rod red. Including the Shadows. "Who's invisible now, dickwads?" Clif said, his lip curling back.

((I'm back everyone! And now on with my part!))
"It's nothing, I was only trying to protect an innocent life," Jasper said with a big grin, flashing perfectly white teeth. Then she realized that she was still in her sleeping garments, and that she needed to return home.
"I'm afraid I'm gonna have to cut this conversation short," Jasper said to Nathan, "but I must go home now. It was lovely chatting with you though! Don't be afraid to stop by Dusk whenever you feel like it!" And with that, Jasper left the Gold Tavern.
As she strolled down the street, she couldn't help but feel as though she was being followed. She turned around sharply, only to see nothing. She continued, but still felt that same feeling. 'Am I looking in the wrong places?' Jasper thought, and started looking into the shadows of buildings. It was so tiny, but she saw suttle movements within the darkness.
"s**t!" Jasper cried as she ran from the now pursuing Shadows. She had no weapons on her except for a small pocket knife, and it was slightly dull. She kept running until she realized she had been dead-ended by the Shadows. She turned around to see the Shadows closing in on her.

Two dark figures appear in the midst of the dark merriment and as their faces are revealed, Lila's eyes are jolted open when sounds of glass shards shatter. The music was still playing but it was a different song now.
'What was I dreaming about just now?' Lila tries recalling the dream but fails and notice the wet cheeks and scrubs it away harshly with her sleeves.
'Oh no! I need to leave before the clouds go away!' Lila abruptly stands but stops to look at the playing stranger once more.
'I should do something in return...' Lila takes out three chocolate bars and placed it where she was seated at and whispered.
"Thanks." Than ran out down the street, bumped somebody in the shoulder and skidded to a dark alley way, not making sure if anybody stood there or not and stripped her hoodie off, tied it around her waist and took off into the shielded night sky.
A slight breeze played with her hair as she flew through the misty cloud that damps her. If anything, she only hated the fact you couldn't fly too high with the lack of air and one can never fly to low where you can eat bugs and not even know. Out of no where when she though of the idea of swallowing bugs, a bird nearly hit her square in the face. She fell down from the fright and crashed down on top of something.
"Ah, sweet chocolate was that?!" Lila rubs her bottom and looks at what she had landed on. Her eyes widen when she realized she had landed on a shadow. She stood quickly and accidentally stomp on it's mouth and forced a tooth out. Before long, it dissolved into a puddle of dark mush.
"Is it supposed to do that?" She shrugs her shoulder and turns to make sure her back side is clean when doing so, she encounters the eyes of Jasper. Lila stood still, almost as if thinking that if she didn't move, she wouldn't be notice.
((Welcome back 3nodding ! Yahoo, I finally posted xd sorry for the delay sweatdrop )) ((Lila fell really hard on the shadow (gravity + weight + speed) that's why the shadow was defeated so easily. sweatdrop Oh, and even though Lila left before Jasper, she took her sweet time in the air. 3nodding ))

(( xd Haha, thanks. And i kinda figured out how the Shadow was killed, but thanks nonetheless))
Jasper couldn't believe what had just happened. One minute she was sure that these were her last moments of life, the next Lila falls from the sky and squashes the Shadow in front of her like a bug. The other one, not sure what had happened and spooked, took off when Lila landed. Had Jasper not been scared to death, she would've been laughing.
Finally finding her voice, she spoke. "Lila... you saved me. You weren't very graceful, but you saved me," She said. "If I can repay you in any way, I will."

(( Hehe, no problem xd . I was just worried that some people might question the possibility of a shawdow getting killed by being falled on sweatdrop ))
With lighting reflexes that couldn't be seen or notice by the average human eye, Lila retreated her wings back "Eh, um. A flying shadow picked me up and I kicked it in the shin and it dropped me down here! Eh, he he. What a strange encounter no? Ha ha ha..." Lila stutter on her words and her hands kept twitching along with her left eye.
"No need for thanks or anything really! Uh, um, I'm a go now. Talk to you later!" Lila ran down the street and notice she had a tear on her shirt and that Jasper had seen her without her hoodie on.
"Dam, this shirt cost me two freaking pays." She groans and puts back on her hoodie and walks rest of the way home.
'Did she see the wings? Ug, maybe the heavens speared me and didn't allow her to see it...' Lila looked up and sighs heavily to the sky covered in clouds.
'Everything will be fine. It's not like she is a hunter or anything anyways... Hunters...' Lila calls back memories when she would several times see shadows and others like herself be slain by hunters. Most where slain for good reasons and a few, not very. One never knows when one is a hunter for the fun of it. It hunts her and runs cold shivers up and down her spine. She would need to separate from her foster father sooner or later. Human turn vampires would stop aging randomly unlike a true breed vampire which could choose the age to stop or continue to age for eternally. Would others still accept her or would they runaway and post her head for a hunt?
'Maybe I'm just over thinking it, I should hurry up and get home and drink some hot chocolate and go to bed.'
((Hm, anybody think that I might be making my char a bit too mary-su ish question Just asking. 3nodding ))

Nathan startledly watched as Jasper left, again whizzing out of his life as if she'd never been there. Couldn't people just sit and talk for longer than ten seconds? He was surprised to the point of not even managing a goodbye, simply mumbling a "whahoorrghh?" as best he could.
He stared back at his hot chocolate, suddenly uninterested in it. Pushing it aside, he rummaged in his shirt pocket for money. "Erm... oh. Damn." He had a single gold coin and a paperclip to offer. Well... may as well. As he set the both of them down next to the mug, he glanced around himself one last time, then darted out in a I'm-trying-to-hurry-but-not-look-like-it-and-failing sort of way, braid swinging behind him.
"Oh, the guilt, the guilt," he mumbled to himself as he started to jog lightly home. His guitar bumped uncomfortably on his back, so after he was a good few blocks from the tavern, he slowed his pace to a comfortable walk, though his feet hurt like hell. That's what he got for walking around without shoes constantly...
