Believer of God awwww. i love chinchilas. but they are really expensive! like 600.00 dollars for one! ...It depends on the kind you get.
I think that's how much it is for a "fancy white one".
Mine was "on sale" for $80, regular $100. (He's a "common gray" chinchilla.)
It also depends on where you go, of course.

Oh, wait, I take back the never-seeing-a-white-chinchilla thing.
I did see one at a petstore [deserted] mall before. But I felt so sorry for them, because they were in this little cage, with no wheel, nothing to chew on, with nothing but a little cardboard tube. The poor thing had a few small bald spots, and the tip of its tail was scabby....

It made me so depressed. D:

I bet I can beat you all! I have 19 pets. Granted 9 of them are goldfish. 7 of which live in the pond out back and I never see them.
And I'm pretty sure chinchilas can get really expensive because I saw somethng online when I was looking them up. It was something about ultra rare Royal Persian Angora Chinchillas... in Texas.

Some shelter/rescue places sell single chinchillas for $65 or $125 for two, plus tax. It's nice of them to do. I want another chinchilla myself, but we'll see. I really think he's cute. He's a wilson white (black eyes and dark ears). I hope I can adopt him.

I've never really seen chinchillas at the shelters near here. Then again, we never really looked. After all, mah fluffbucket was sort of a prepared impulse thing, if that makes sense.

I spent, like, two hours or so taping and cutting these three huge boxes with some smaller ones, to make a "three-story" house with, like, six rooms, two tunnels, a small hallway, and like... six actual levels. XD
Mah chinchilla loves it.
It was so cute 'cause when it was time for me to put him back, and I closed the opening so he couldn't get back in, he freaked out! He started pacing near the opening, scratching at it, and trying to squeeze in. It was so cute!
...And then he got mad and growled at me when I moved him away from it....
...
Bottom line: chinchillas love boxes.

Yea there is no such thing as a "pure" chinchilla because if you breed a white with a white (or black with black) it creates a "deadly factor". The little will die and many times so dose the mother. Bottom line: all chinchillas are mutts (and they love boxes ninja )
