As I walked out the door of Tori's new bedroom, I shoved all of her belongings off of the dresser and then slammed the door behind me. I walked down the hall to the small walkway behind the two opposing staircases where I saw Danielle, moping.
"Dont' worry about it," I muttered. "And fix your face. We have a newcomer." I left her to compose herself and walked down the nearest set of stairs, then down the main staircase, out the door and to the gate. I helped the seemingly drunk girl to her feet and half-carried her into the Manor. I carried her around the staircase and set her down on the couch in the large living room area.
I left her side briefly to go the the neighboring kitchen, dampened a rag, and came back to place it over the newcomer's forehead.

I glared daggers at the boy as he left. and flew the door open. I wlked down and out the front into the brisk night air. The sweet call of alcohol was beconing me. of course drinking on an empty stomach, especially for a vampire, was dangerous. Even more so if on the brink of a blood lust. I entered the damp and stale bar and walked up to the counter.
"Vodka, straight up, leave the bottle."
"Now now missy, you lookin to get drunk?" The bar tender asked as he poured me the drink and started to put the bottle away, I quickly lashed out and gripped his hand, "I said live the bottle." I said through clenched teeth, a growl emideted from low within me.

He sneered angrily at all of them as they passed through the middle room, what had started as a simple flirt and him looking to have a good time with everyone else ended badly, of course. Thats how things went in the manor, and he eyed Erik as he came to the rescue of the girl he had aimed to help up, in any case.. it was turning out to be a hellish night. Leaving his coat behind, the shirtless wonder slowly moved out the front entrance.. looking for something to keep him from freaking out.

Of men came out of the manner and picked me up like I weighed nothing. That was strange. Not being human, I was heavier than normal. He brought me into the manner and laid me down on a couch in a large well furnished room. who was he? His hands were strangely cold. He left for a minute and I wondered what was going to happen to me. why had he brought me inside? Why not just leave me out there on the street like any other homeless drunkard? he came back carrying a damp towel and draped it over my forehead. Why was the stranger being so kind? my mind was picking up speed now as the pain lessened. That was one thing I didn't mind about being a werewolf, supernatural healing. I opened my eyes staring up at him. I was tense but I didn't move not knowing whether to trust him or not.

I smiled down at the girl as she opened her eyes.
"Hello there," I said plesantly. "You were falling down outside our Manor. I couldn't let you stay out there all night. I heard it was supposed to rain."

***

I stared after Reverend as he walked out the door, trying to keep the tears from overflowing out of my eyes. I walked down the stairs and into the living room, seeing Erik hunched over a girl with a wet washcloth draped over her forehead.
"She okay?" I asked. My voice was harsh with unshed tears.

***

"Yeah, I think so," I said. "Just a little drunk, I think."

He felt himself slowly drifting towards the worn down church.. he eyes were closed and his body was moving slowly on whim all of its own.. His arms shoved the church doors open and he beheld the bastardized place of worship in all of its glory.. he kicked over a pew on his way to to altar..

She turned her head to look at the newcomer. It was a woman, pale and strangely beautiful. My brain finally kicked into gear and I realize what these people were, vampires. As a human eye had been taught to fear them my family had been extremely superstitious, but now that I was a werewolf I didn't know what to think. But could they tell what I was a werewolf? I suddenly realized I knew almost nothing about these creatures. I sat up taking the towel for my head and handing it back to the man.

"Thank you but I'm not drunk. I appreciate your hospitality but I really must be going." I tried to stand but fell back wincing in pain. My right leg was entirely numb. I began to roll up my jeans. it was bad. I must've happened when I hit the gate. I cursed under my breath, then remembered that there were two vampires in the room. I glanced up to see their reaction.

(see you later then. biggrin )

As soon as I saw the blood, my eyes flickered to Danielle. She being the only vampire present at this point in time, I was attempting to gauge her reaction. She didn't seem too worried, though...

***

As soon as the girl rolled up her leg, the scent of the blood assaulted my nostrils. She was not human. She was a lycanthrope, a werewolf. I had no desire to taste the blood. I may have been a bit... hungry... but I would never drink the blood of anything but an animal or a human. I made the girl lay back down.
"You're not going anywhere on that leg," I said. I saw the worry in her eyes and laughed. "Don't worry, I don't want your lycanthrope blood. And my brother here is a witch; he has no desire to drink from you whatsoever. Erik, will you be a dear and get the first aid kit?"
My brother nodded and left the room, casting a glance back at me just in case. I sat down on the arm of the couch next to the girl.
"So what is your name, and if you're not drunk,w hy did you appear to be?"

"you said he was a witch?" She asked as they pushed her back down onto the couch. she had to admit there was no chance she was going anywhere on that leg. She gritted her teeth pulling her mind back to the present. Now that her lesser injuries had healed themselves she was beginning to feel the pain in her leg, the shock was wearing off. She looked back up at the beautiful vampire sitting at the end of the couch. She considered the question for a moment's been answered.

"My name is Anna Row Lee, or at least that was my human name. I don't have a pack name. As for being drunk, well I can't get drunk. I guess I was trying to lose myself, to forget. Then I" she trailed off looking up at the vampire. She met the girl's eyes and spoke in a level tone. "I got angry. I had to throw myself into the gate to keep control. That's how I was injured. I appeared drunk because I wanted to be drunk, combined with pain and shock." She kept her eyes locked on the vampire waiting for the girl's reaction.

"Yes, a witch," I said. "And as for your 'drunkeness...' Why exactly were you trying to lose yourself?"

***

I hurried back into the living room, carrying the first aid kit. I brought it over to Danielle, who took it from my hands and began to work on the new girl's already-healing leg.

***

"Thank you," I said to Erik. "Our new resident's name is Anna."

So strange, these people are so strange, she thought. She winced as the woman shifted her leg into a better position.

"After I was changed I left my family without a word. My family is superstitious, but I thought if I could learn to control myself they would except me. I was just fooling myself, but still. I went to see them yesterday, things didn't go well." She closed her eyes leaning her head back. The woman's hands were gentle she seemed to know what would hurt, and what wouldn't.

"I'm sorry but I lost track of things there for a bit so If you don't mind me asking, who are you, and where exactly am I?"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 25, 2008 7:24 pm

I smiled at the girl's request, trying to be more careful with her leg. Her winces told me she was in pain, and I didn't want to further it. Unless, of course, it was absolutely necessary for her to get better.
"I'm Danielle Abrigo, and this is my adopted brother, Erik," I said, gesturing first to myself, then to Erik, who stood beside me.

***

"No last name," I smirked. "Trying to get rid of all ties with my family. They're sort of similar to yours. The first weight on the camel's back was the fact that I had these powers. They just were... sorta there. Then the second weight came along when they found out I was practicing witchcraft." I chuckled darkly and shook my head. "I guess me turning into a typical, argumentative teenager was the straw that finally broke the camel's back. So they kicked me out." I shrugged as if it was no big deal. "I went to see them after those witch murders a couple months back, to let them know I was okay. They could've cared less." I sat down on the arm of the couch opposite Danielle.

"Yes, then they do seem similar. my family had thought that I was dead."She shook her head. "It was all hugs and kisses until they realized I was a werewolf. then outcomes the silver and the salt, and it's like I never existed. Now, it was actually more like I died a martyr's death several years before, and the person standing on their doorstep was disgracing my memory." She shrugged. "such is life. But you haven't answered my other question, where am I?"
