 A small pup trotted upstream along the river fed by the waterfall. It was apparent he had been traveling for a long time, if one saw the weariness in his step and eyes. It was not long ago, he had been comfortable in his pack, with his parents, but that was all gone since one of the other wolves had challenged and killed his father, and become the new Alpha male of the pack. Not wanting any up and coming challengers, he had driven Desert away from the pack, before he had a chance to grow up, and take revenge. Now, he wandered alone, looking for any pack that might be willing to take him in.
A few minutes later, the pup heard the sound of the water intensify and discovered he was nearing a waterfall. As he was tired, and it looked like a nice place to rest, he took a long drink from the river, before laying down in the shade of a nearby tree, unaware of the other wolves nearby.

 Koenshan was brought up short by the scent of the incoming pup. Casting his gaze towards him the ragged wolf felt the pull of kindred spirits. The pup looked like Koenshan had before River had shown him a place to bathe. Glancing to see if River would mind he made his way towards the pup. Ever so gently & cautiously the blue & green wolf approached, eyes kind & sympathetic. "Hello." He called softly & gently. "What's wrong, little one?"
As un-threatening as he could, the wolf whose pack & home was so recently killed & burned by humans inched closer to the obviously bedraggled & likely hurting pup & lay down with his legs beneath him, waiting. Koenshan knew the guilt left to the survivors. This pup looked like he survived something horrible.((You want Koen too, or wait til intro to pack is official? I'll just send it now.))

The pup opened his eyes and quickly got to his feet at the sound of Koenshan's voice. He eyed the adult wolf with suspicion for a moment, knowing Koenshan could easily attack and injure him, for being on land that he didn't belong to. Seeing the other wolf act in a non-agressive manner, however, Desert finally worked up the courage to speak, though still keeping himself to bolt at a moments notice if necessary.
"I have been driven from my pack, by the new alpha male there and have been walking for days," he said, keeping an eye on the blue and green wolf, watching for any negative reaction. "I hope I am not going where I'm not allowed...."

 River turned to see another pup and smiled, she trotted over happily but slowed as she reached the pup and the green adult. "Hello there little one. These are my pack lands but you are most welcome to stay as long as you like!" She smiled happily at the little one as she glanced back over at Diego who was still playing with his squirrel friend.((*has happily stolen the banner made by Soarin' on the front page* hehe))

Diego scambled to his paws quite embaresed looking like such a young pup as his pack was around. He was an Alpha now, he needed to act somewhat his age. He sighed and looked back down at Fuzzy who was still playing around him. Nuzzling him lighty he hoped the squrrial relized that he had to take care of offical business first before he could go back to playing. Trotting forth towards River he nuzzled her neck and laughed just abit. "Sorry bout that- I forget sometimes that I'm not a pup."
He looked down at the pup with his eyes flickering with happyness. He tried to act as Alpha-like as possible so as to not scare him away with his puppyish ways. The pup looked like it had been threw enough to begin with. "Hello there little one." His lips curled up into a smile.

((oh yes.. im a big mean thief!!! hehe)) River laughed a little and smiled as Diego came over, "Oh the child has grown up again for five minutes!" She licked at his muzzle and rolled her eyes looking down to the pup. "We are calling a meeting in the cave if you want to come little one. Its just a welcoming thing and stuff. We have another pup over there!" She motioned her head in the direction of Cinder, "That is cinder, she would love to have a play mate around!" She smiled again at the pup and then turned to the green male, "You bring him in, I am going to head into the cave with the others, aswell as trying to get Ren in." She winked and licked at Diego, "You can take them in!" She laughed again and trotted over to the she-wolf wondering if there was going to be anychance of them being friends.

 Sitting back on her haunches, Inazuma's sapphire eyes watched as the ragged pup appeard and was greeted by the others. she didnt feel a need to go closer to the pup, knowing that would probably make him feel to crowded so she sat there and waited for the others.

Desert did his best to return the smiles that the Alphas offered him and was pleasantly surprised by the offer to stay. By the female no less. Inwardly he shrugged figuring that this pack must just have a different way of ranking than what he was used to.
"Thank you for letting me stay. My name's Desert." he manged to say, just before the two alphas wandered off to take care of a few things before the metting the female had spoken of. He looked up expectantly at the green and blue wolf that he had first met, waiting to be shown where the meeting was going to be held.

Cinder hid by river, there was a pup! She had almost forgotten what other pups looked like with all the adults around, she had become quite attached to river.. being as she didn't really talk to any of the other wolves.. there had been something to do with a meeting but being a pup river didn't pay much attention to what was happening... why should she, pups didn't have rights anyways, or at least that was what she was taught in her short months from birth with her family... the thought saddened her... her family! she had seen nothing of them and the thought of it all made her want to howl out into the unknown again for them.... why did she miss them so! its not like they treated her well. She watched the other pup closely realiseing that she was stareing and that river was leaving! She didn't know what to do as she watched river walk away and she yelped like a young pup wanting her mom as she got up to give chase after river only to trip and fall

 Diego smirked playfully and trailed after River. "You know I try." His tail wiggled playfully in responce. "But ya know sometimes ya just gotta let into that urge to be a pup again- or in general." He stoped for a few seconds and tackled River with his oversized paws. With a grin he licked her nose. "Love ya!" With a triumphant bound in his step he raced towards the cave beyond the waterfall.

Being pounced wasn't what she expected adn then to see the little pup cry she sighed, Ren would have to wait. She was slightly annoyed about that though she had taken a liking to the she-wolf. She couldn't help but laugh as Diego ran off. She trotted over to Cinder and picked her up by the scruff of her neck. She then walked towards the new pup and Koenshan. She put Cinder down to speak, "If you both want to follow me then!" She winked at the little pup before picking Cinder up and heading towards the cave. It was a perfect place to leave Cinder as she went to get Ren.
As she entered the cave she trotted over to Diego and placed Cinder down next to him before sitting down for a while as everyone else entered. She just hoped that Inazuma would guess to follow them into the cave. They wanted to explain how the pack works. Can't have wolves not knowing what is going on now.

He smirked in a puppy-like way as River entered and gave her the 'I'm as innocent as the day I was born look' Amist his cute googling to River he managed to look down and spot Cinder near his paws. He'd only really met her once or twice, and in most there meetings never really worked out being she was afraid of him half the time. As his eyes took in everything around him he flashed a smile at the small blue pup. "Ello there! Long time no see little one." As soon as the words escaped his mouth he relized that he probally did more harm then good with that. He really didn't have any luck with pups. Not that he didn't like them- but he was prehaps too overwhelming for them. He was after all clinically insane.

"I'm sorry." She whispered quietly to herself, an apology meant for her dead mate. Then with a grunt she moved to stand up, joints creaking as she straightened her legs and stood up. She was a large female in stature, long legs, strong shoulders and a thickly furred neck. When she returned to ehr old self and put on a little more weight she would be a fearsome female indeed. And it wouldn't be long before this ex-alpha returned to her ways of wandering.
From this standing position - head held high and tail up - she gazed around at the pack members, her mix of black, brown and white fur easily distinguishable. Her eyes settled first on the ridiculousy furred wolf who was troucning about playing with a squirrel. So...he must be the Alpha. Her nose wrinkled in distatse, snarl wrinkling her snout and showing her teeth. If he dared come near her she would show him a thing or two about acting his age. They were pups no longer, and that crazed male needed to learn that.
She forced her hackles to smooth once morebefore anyone noticed her threatening behaviour and watched as they headed towards the cave. Was this going to be some official meeting? With a light growl she moved slowly towards the mouth of the cave, a slow pace since her paws had been worn down so that they bled.
Her eyes settled on a new pup who had apeared from nowhere, his brown and blue fur catching her attention. Seemed he had just arrived and was trying to introduce himself. With a tilt of her ears she caught his name...Desert. Filed it away she continued onwards, pausing to glance at the others.
It appeared she was one of the oldest in this pack. Wise old Ren. She gave a malicious smirk and came to a halt before the cave entrance. Her eyes fell upon the form of another male, his dark fur a lot easier on the eyes. With a loud snort she turned away once more and continued into the cave, curling just on the inside.

As River came over to scruff the pup what was supposed to lead her to the cave, Inazuma rose to her paws, stretching slightly before padding after the alpha. Catching a white and brown form out of the corner of her eye, she looked over at the older wolf. She seemed Irritated so she just continued walking towards the cave. once it came into sight, she walked into it, laying down on the cool floor.
