Every thing depended on her. “Lamkit grab a diamond!!!” suddenly Lamkit jumped out of the under growth ran up to the monster grabbed on to its belly all the while avoiding its claws, climbing the beast he grabbed a piece of it’s skin and bit. He then grabbed the biggest gem and pulled. Splashing water on Teka’s wound Meesha bounded out towards the dragon, sticking up turned arrows in the ground as she went. “One shot left” She craned the last arrow and shot it had hit right where Lamkit had took the gem. “Sortai now!!!”

Sortai took the opportunity and raised his blade again. Jumping towards the beast, his eyes found the spot Lamkit had freed and he pushed his sword as hard as he could into it. He heard a roar, and his hands became red. He removed his blade quickly, which had turned crimson, but didn't move fast enough as the creature came tumbling down onto him. Its weight drove out his breath, but he remained conscious."Is.. Teka.. okay?" He said, gasping for air as he struggled out from under its massive weight.

“Yes on stay in there, don’t follow the light.” Meesha joked as she was pushing the massive creature of the struggling Sortai. A tear dropped of Meesha’s face. Lamkit helped with the carcass. Empi had come from her hiding spot still dragging the doe. “Come on boy help with all your might you’re full of power use it!!!” Lamkit had said to Sortai.

Sortai laughed at the ferrets remark, but pushed harder. Soon he was free from the dragon. He looked over to Teka. "We should probably hurry and get him to your camp, so no infections occur, and no other creatures come for his blood." He walked over to Teka, then tied a tournicet to his arm."That should stop the bleeding. I doubt he'll regain consciousness tonight though." he walked over to Meesha."Thanks for the help. I'm sure Teka and I'd probably be dead now had you not came along."

“Oh stop it I’ve never really fought anything like that. Plus I couldn’t take any of the credit you where the one who took the final stab.” Meesha helped Sortai get Teka on to the horse. “We should get your animals there’s bound to more monsters like that one. Hey while it’s dead lets ransack some of the gems and gold.” Meesha walked over to the dragon’s body and pulled some of the gems of its stomach. Then lead the team back on to the intended road.

Sortai nodded, stuffing some gold and gems into his pack."But we probably shouldn't get Teka's wolf just yet. He usually doesn't like anyone except teka. But if you give me a minute, I could go get Mesu. He's my horse, by the way." Sortai looked over to Meesha for a response.

“Ok, fine with me just be quick… Here give this to the wolf.” Meesha tossed a meaty leg of the deer to Sortai. “Follow Lamkit to camp, if it’s alright he stay with you?” Meesha asked. Meesha looked at him with glinting green eyes.

"It'd be fine." Sortai says, looking at the little ferret."After all, he just helped save my life, didn't he?" Sortai picked up the deer leg and looked over at Lamkit."Our camp is this way,"He says, pointing into the thick of the woods. He looks again over at Meesha and says,"Would you mind if I packed up our camp and we merged camps? It'd be better than Teka and I going back and forth." he waited for her answer.

“Of course silly. But what about the wolf? I thought he didn’t like very many people?” Meesha looked back at him. “But take Lamkit anyway he’s a good help… when he feels like it.” Meesha held Teka up with one hand and held the reins with the other. She smiled with a little bit of concern, like a mothers smile.

Sortai smiled back."I'll take him to a place outside of your camp, then Teka can deal with him. God-bye!" He said as he waved, then walked off into the woods, in the direction he remembered the camp was. He suddenly remembered the question he had asked her, started back, but then decided to ask later. He turned to Lamkit."Ready?" He asked.

The ferret smiled nodded climbed Sortai latched on to his shoulder and they where off. As was Meesha and Teka. Meesha looked at the unconscious boy, then back to the road.

After about five minutes, Sortai stumbled into their camp. The fire was out, and some animal had been through their packs, most likely Frostbane. He sighed though as he rolled up his and tekas blankets, packed up camp, and loaded it into Mesu's saddle bags. "Its okay boy. im here now." Sortai said, patting Mesu to calm the horses nerves."This is Lamkit. He's a friend of Mine and Tekas." He said, looking at the ferret stationed on his shoulder. As he began to climb onto Mesu, he remembered Frostbane. He turned and saw the wolf, not far off, tied to a tree."Well, hello Frostbane.", Sortai said, moving over to the wolf.

Lamkit jumped of the horse, and walked over by the wolf. “Hey there wolfie don’t eat me please ‘cuz you see your master um Teka was hit unconscious so we’re here to take you to my camp ok wolfish dude?” the ferret looked at Sortai and then to the wolf. Meesha stepped into the camp. She pulled Teka’s limp body to a rock and laid him down Empi roamed over to the grassiest part of the clearing and grazed. Meesha grabbed the dear and placed it by the fire pit, she then started a fire to cook on.

Meesha burned the heart of the doe, “To the great gods of life death and every thing in between.” Meesha said in prayer the smoke that rose was in the form of the grazing doe. She heard a grown, and looked over and Teka he must be dreaming. She blushed, the only boy she had seen sleep was her brother. Lamkit climbed on to Sortai’s arm away from the growling wolf. “Sheez thanks for under standing.”

Sortai smiled as he tied the wolfs rope to Mesu."Well, Its fine. We're friends now, right?", he said to the ferret as he began riding down the path.
