Celebor took Aras from Lore's shoulder, smiling, and cuddled her in his arms. At Yuki's question, he looked up, and his eyes grew wide as he saw Feng charging towards him.

"Whoa!" he shouted, holding one hand up defensively. "Careful!"

Unlike Feng, he had settled down quite a bit when he had children, and he was no longer the carefree and energy driven Second he had once been.

Aras's already large eyes grew even wider as she saw Feng approaching, and she squeaked and covered her head, curling up in a ball in Celebor's arms to hide herself.

Elnara laughed and reached for Lore's hand, now that he was free. "Why am I not surprised?" she grinned up at him. "Celebor really should have introduced Aras to everyone when we were still home, then we could have avoided half the confusion."

Feng stopped on the dime inches from Celebor, part of it was that Celebor holding up his hand, the other part was Feng's sudden odd instincts to children. She looked ready to pounce on him, but her attention was drawn away by something else. The ball (to lack a better term) in Celebor's arms.

"Aww.. who's this? What's her name? She's so cute.... can I hold her?"

With all the pressing bodies it was a wonder why Ryu didn't lose Feng in the crowd. Only the distinct 'whee' sound coming from the baby carrier clued him to the location of them. Well that and his height helped a lot.

Lin rolled her eyes at her sister before making her way through the crowd, she wasn't going to stick around to see what Feng would come up with. Besides, it wasn't like the mermaid was going to be up to any trouble. At least she hoped not.

She spotted Atalya and made her way over, it was tradition after all to say hello and then maybe if she could manage to smuggle one of her younger siblings with her, find Earendil and Sir Valdemar.

"Hello, Lin," Atalya said warmly as the girl approached her. "It's wonderful to see you again ... and this time you'll be staying for a while, which I'm sure you like."

She laughed and held one hand out for Lin to take.

"Welcome back ... though one might almost say, welcome home, yes?" She smiled. "How have you been?"

"I forget what the letters stand for now," Lore whispered, "But it is a reference to an assocation of parents... mainly mothers who insist on taking part of every aspect of their children's life to the point where they're a bit scary. A bit over protective."

He paused and watched Feng.

"The anology though is inaccurate, Feng is more like that type of aunt you meet every once in a while who loves to pinch your cheeks and call you cute... at least I've read of such an aunt somewhere in a book once."

Aras blinked her teal eyes at Feng and brushed her bangs away from her face.

"Tubs?" she asked curiously. "I don't know what that is, but I don't know how to swim so I wouldn't be able to swim with you, not until Daddy teaches me. He promised he would soon."

Celebor raised one eyebrow at Ryu, his curiosity so great that he didn't even say hello. "Naida?" he asked softly.


Elnara giggled at Lore. "Well, she's always loved children," she smiled. "Though she's used to Second children, who are ... quite hardy. If she ever gets to hold a natural baby, someone is going to have to keep a close eye on her."

She smiled up at him and tugged him forward a bit. "Come on, let's go see Nako," she urged him.

Ryu in one of his rare moments looked amused, his eyes twinkled with mischief. He reached into the baby carrier hidden behind Feng's back and lifted out a pale skinned, blue tailed little mermaid and presented her to Celebor.

"Celebor, meet your cousin Naida."

The little girl wiggled her tail back and forth as she waved to Celebor. Thinking nothing wrong about dangling as she was. She giggled and looked up at Celebor cutely, "Hello! You have nice braids."

"Ryu hold her properly," Feng murmured still having her eyes on Aras, though her voice was a bit scolding to it.

Ryu rolled his eyes and held Naida like he would with any baby.

Lin grinned, "I think I'll go up the mountain when I get the chance, I normally don't have time to do that, and it's been a long while."

Besides if it helped her get a one up on her dad, she was all for it. Lessons were hard, because she had to make up for what she didn't learn, fortunately she was fit enough for it. She was still working on her running though.. and her magic.
