"I've been doing pretrty good too! 4laugh " he said while giving her a big hug heart .
"Kinda tired and sad at the fact I still need 539k to get my Emeraldback Lion Mask sweatdrop ".
Shukumi sat down by the River and start skimming rocks across the river to the other side.

Apoth looked at Spilt. "Silly you." She said with a chuckale. "They are not made anywhere..." She said with a spooky look on her face. Apoth then saw a new person she had never met before come near the river. "Hello new person!" She said with a grin. "Why don't you come over here and talk with us?" Trying to said as friendly and warmly as she could. She then turned to Shukumi. "Don't worry." She said with the biggest smile she could put on. "I'm sure you will get it one day." She nodded with the end of the statement and threw a wink at him.

Tortie sat beside Shukumi and looked out as he threw rocks into the peaceful water. She was tired and, as she gazed at the newly forming ripples, her mind started to leave her. A couple of times she felt her head fall to the side and snapped out to pick it up. She figured that her new Talaye would need a lot of attention, so it would be okay for her to take a snooze.
"Good luck on your quest, Shukumi," she smiled, trying to stay awake. She held her basket close and smiled toward Apoth and Split as well.

Split nodded, it was a silly thought. She was somewhat disapointed to have not been finding any identification on the bottom of the basket, since she really wanted to write the people who made her basket. "Just a thought." She said, setting the basket down in her lap with a smile. She was thinking about names now, but looking over to teh new comer to the river, she smiled. " Ya, come sit with us."

Tortie sat alongside the river, a bundle of fluff in her arms. She was stroking the soft, velvet-like fur of a baby Talaye. Humming softly, she smiled down at the little one. Tenrai gazed up and their eyes locked; a bond formed instantly. The newborn's head slowly fell back into Tortie's warm body and she was fast asleep.
"Tenrai," Tortie whispered caringly. She was pleased with the name she presented the pup with. It was a Japanese word and in English, translated to 'beautiful poetry; sound of wind'. The meaning of the word fit perfectly with her forming personality.
She continued to stroke the gray tinged fur, putting the pup into a deep and calming sleep.

Chickies wandered to the banks of the river, rolling up his pants as he did so. As he arrived there, he sat down at the edge, and dangled his legs in the cool water. Glancing over to the side, he carefully watched Emerald, as she began to attempt to fly. Getting used to walking and running took her a few days, and she felt brave enough to attempt to fly, now that she had mastered the art of walking. "Stay away from the edge of the banks, Em. Don't want you falling into the water; at this time of year, it's very cold."
Emerald took note of what he said, and cautiously walked backwards, away from the bank. Sitting down, she carefully concentrated on her wings. All she could manage to do just yet was flap them, but still no lifting off. Sighing, she decided she may need help with this. But she knew no other Talayes who could fly... Whimpering, she knew this would be more difficult than she thought.

Tortie looked up and watched the tiny pup try to fly. It was a beautiful sight, the little female's instincts were surfacing. A warm smile came over her and she looked down at her own Tenrai. The two Talaye had similar markings which amused Tortie.
Tortie's attention moved toward the human. He was sweet to watch out for his Talaye going too close to the water. She lifted her legs out of the war and placed them into "Indian position". Quietly she looked down at her bundle. Tenrai was wrapped up in her own fur, breathing slowly and healthy. She motioned a "Hello" to the boy, trying not to discomfort Tenrai; the gray creature nuzzled closer into Tortie's arms.

Chickies glanced over, noticing Tortie and her small Talaye for the first time. He must have zoned out while staring at the water. He couldn't clearly see the Talaye that Tortie was holding, but of what he could see, it had gray fur and black spots, similar to Emerald. Switching his attention to Em, he chuckled to himself as she did a summersault while attempting to fly forewards.
After his attention switched back to Tortie, he noticed her greeting him. He lifted his arm, waving back, and smiling.

One of Tortie's hands left Tenrai to wave back and the tiny critter awakened. She opened her mouth and a little yawn escaped. Tortie was thinking about the two Talaye. Tenrai had never had the chance to play or even come in contact with another of her species... yet. This would be a perfect chance.
"Seems someone has awoken from her nap," she called to Chickies, giggling at Tenrai. She got up and walked closer to the boy and his Talaye. Carefully, she placed Tenrai on the ground and the Talaye immediatly stood up. Her body shook from beneath her, releasing any left over tiredness, and she slowly, almost frightenedly, took a step toward the what-it-seemed energetic other. Her curious nature was taking over and she took a couple more steps toward the other female.

"I wonder...where everyone is..."
Ripples surged through the swiftly passing water as a lone, pink paw hesitantly broke the surface. Soon, a clear reflection of a Tala face could also be seen dancing across the fragile top of the water, it's delicate features clear with sadness.
"I haven't seen....dad...or...any of my siblings...or mom, for that matter..."
The both the paw and the reflection dissapeared as the one to whom they belonged to sighed deeply and leaned back onto the grassy banks, her gaze raising into the endless expanse of the sky.
Ever since that fateful event at the Ball Malaika had indeed fallen into a sense of depression, and it clearly shown. No longer was she a bright, optomistic Tala, but rather, one far more solemn, one far more distant.

Chickies remained in his spot as Tortie and Tenrai approached him. As Tortie got near him, he stood up finally, and held out his hand, smiling, "Hello. My name is Chickies."
Emerald, exhausted from trying to fly, laid down and rolled onto her back, pawing at a fly that was flying around her. As another Talaye, that had deeply resembled herself, approached her, she rolled onto her belly, and then onto four paws, and bounded over to the other female, yipping. Hi!

Tortie smiled at the warm hello and offered a handshake. "Nice to meet you, Chickies. I go by Tortie," she giggled and turned her attention toward the Talaye.
Tenrai's tail began to fwap back and forth with excitement. Her teal eyes sparkled in the sunlight. Everything about her seemed friendly.. except her stance. Her back legs were nervous, making her look as though she were ready to bolt. Her overall appereance was now showing fear. She wasn't scared exactly, just shy. She wanted to be friends and greet the familar-marked Talaye with the same enthusiasm, but her timid temperment was taking over. She stood still and formed somewhat of a smile as she lifted a paw toward Emerald. She didn't speak but her body was sending a polite greeting in itself.

Aravis flied into the meadow, Caspian gazing at a distant point in the horizon on her back. He seemed to be daydreaming... or thinking of something special, really.. He shook his head as Aravis landed gracefully on the ground and flapped her wings gently to awake him from his daydreams. "What are you doing, sleeping on my back?" she laughed. Caspian smiled and jumped down from his mother's back. "No... I'm just... thinking." "Oh..." Aravis looked a bit confused, as her Guide, Andromeda, galloped towards them. "Good afternoon, Caspian! Good afternoon, Aravis!" she grinned. Aravis smiled. Her motherly old Guide. The three of them fell in silence. At last, Caspian sneaked away to explore things. He had never been at the Silent River before and he was eager to see what he could find here.
Suddenly, he caught sight of someone. A pink and red Tala... seemed very familiar, by some reason. Somehow, he couldn't think of where he had seen her before. Then it clicked in his head. His mother, of course! They looked rather like each other... just that mum was more red than pink, and this was a darker light pink... he went forward, and then sat down silently by the adult's side. "Good afternoon", he said at last, after of what seemed like an eternal minute's silence.

Felix shook is mane of golden hair as he watched Soleil. She was lying low in the grass staring up at a yellow butterfly. It calmy opened and closed it's wings. Soleil never moved. In time the butterfly took to the wind off in search of flower blossoms. Soleil gave a soft sigh as she watched it twitter away in the air. Felix smiled and lowered himself from his rock.
"What's wrong Soleil?" He asked as he stood next to her looking down at her. She looked up and blinked with amazement at her father's size. Her cheeks perked up with a smile and she replied.
"Oh nothing! I was just enjoying the butterfly, but he has other things to do today. I would've liked him to stay there forever, but..." She sighed. "He must move on with his life and so must I." She turned her head over her shoulder and stood up in the tall grass. Felix smiled proudly at Soleil. She was always so wise and gentle for someone her age. He doubted she'd ever say anything bad about anyone.
Felix began to leave his rock behind and walk along the river in search of his mate. Soleil tagged along behind him, being careful never to step into the shadows of the trees. She stayed in the warm sunlight, which made her fur shine like gold.

Letting go of her hand, it dropped back to his side, and he nodded, "Tortie, huh? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Tortie." He said with a smile. He followed her eyes, and looked at the Talaye, as well.
Emerald blinked, tilting her head at the shaking and frightened Talaye. As Tenrai's paw went up, she stared at it for a moment, unsure what to think. Her face scrunched up as she tried to think, and finally decided to lean her nose down and sniff it, hoping that the other female would get the picture. Lifting her face again, she sat down, speaking to the Talaye in their own language. The name my Mom has given me is Emerald, probably because of my wings... She paused for a moment to flutter them, with some struggle, and resumed, And my left fore and hind paws. She wiggled them both, one at a time, as if to show them off. Glancing at her pink paws, she shrugged, I'm unsure how I got pink paws, though.
