the stone slab slide aside, bright crystals in the cave ceiling makeing it look like day. she blinked twice, looking around the market place and smileing slightly as she saw people out. Wick had forgoten how much this place was old world.. people at the market almost every day, yet they had almost more advanced technology down here than they did above. passing a few children playing ball, she looked back at Ryuk to see his reaction. most abovelanders didnt know about this place.. but to her it was beautiful. "what do you think?" she murmerd softly, so only he could hear. already people were noticeing them, most smileing and waveing to Wick. she did her fair share to help the city.. and knew alot of people down here.
a small kid stared at her wide eyed, asking in his little voice. " did you get another of those glowy things Miss. Wick?"

with a small laugh she pulled out a glow in the dark lizard toy and handed it to him, the child giggleing and running off with it. she didnt realize she was smileing as she watched him run off with the other children.

she looked at him, looking all the world like a differnt person. down here she could be herself, relax and have fun. with a smile she tugged him after her, takeing a peace of bread as she went and paying the baker. " you will love this, Vincent is the best baker in town. " she handed him the loaf of bread as she made her way to the buildings, looking at numbers thoughtfuly. "most people dont think about places like this existing anymore.. but as old world as it seems, the technology here is far more advanced than anything they have up above. its just simpler to live like this." she gestured to the children playing ball, the merchant stall's and stone buildings. " these keep us happy, we dont need much of anything else. what ever we do need the prince and his thieves get from up there."

Wick stoped suddenly, backing into Ryuk as she passed the number she had been looking for. the old stone building was large, a two story cottage typ home. " there you are..." she murmerd, with out a thought takeing Ryuk's hand and she opened the gate and walked up the path. by the time she reached the door she had a key out, it wasnt needed here.. but it still made her feel better. the door opened without a sound, showing the hall that lead to the kitchen and liveing room. stairs led off of the main room and up the the second story. she let go of Ryuk's hand, letting him choose if he wanted to come in, and went to the liveing room to sit on the couch. it had been forever sense she had been here..

"it doesnt matter what you do in this house, it wont bother anyone." Wick nudged him with her foot, almost playfuly before she looked up the stair's. " your room will be up there, if you have anything you need to get or buy let me know and ill get it." she handed him the key and shruged. " your free to come and go as you want. i got this house because i built it." and she had, the stone stairs and the upper level of the house had been tricky.. but she had finished it anyway. the electricity had come later, a gift from a villager. Wick flicked on a lamp next to the couch then pointed at the large screen TV. " it has all the stations you could want.. though i dont watch much myself i hear its entertaining."

she smiled softly and shook her head. " you are in better condition than i have been. dont appologize for small things. make yourself at home, there should be food in the kitchen if your still hungry." picking up her shoulder and wrist armor she walked up the stairs, sliping into the first door on the left. she didnt have to look up to know where everything was, just started unbuckleing her armor to reveal a small light red tunic that matched her skirt. as she put her armor on the bed she caught sight of the tattoo on her wirst, stilling as she looked at it. she had forgoten.. for however short a time... she wraped her other hand around her wrist, her thumb brushing the mark as she bit her lip. she barly heard the clang as she droped her metal glove on the stone floor, lost in bad memories.

shakeing her head she snaped out of it, hideing the shakyness in her voice as she called back. "sounds fun, lets go for it." lighty she joged down the stairs, leaveing her armor in the room for a first time. she didnt feel like she needed it.. how ever odd that seemed.

she took a small wrist band and slid it on, hideing the mark before she placed her hand in his. " not sure. for your complection i'd go with black shirt and blue jeans. though there is all kinds of things in the shops around here. most of the thieves buy things from above like duster's and leather jackets or shirts. then they sell them down here, we can stop by and have a look if you want." she tied a small draw string bag to the rope around her waist, with out a thought puting her hand back in his as she opened the door with the other.
