Amaria had slowed as she walked towards the town. Her conscience was nawing at her, tearing away at the inner walls of her heart. "Argh! Dammit!" she shouted to no one in particular.

This was probably why she got into so much trouble. Always getting involved in the affairs of other people. Angel and the other gods, there was no way they were going to help the fighter. She didn't understand what had made her leave in the first place. Was it the strangeness of being surrounded by so many gods?

Was she intimidated? If that was so, she was going to kick herself for it soon enough. With another shout of frustration, she turned around, angry at herself for abandoning the other fighter.

"He might already be dead for all I know." She grumbled to herself. At a steady pace, she began to pick up speed. Covering the ground she had just walked across in less than half the time it had previously taken, she was suddenly dashing through the woods. Branches seemed to be unable to find their mark on her as she dodged this and that, moving silently, but eerily fluidly through the woods.

When she broke out into the clearing, she couldn't see Angel or Sonney. They must have left. Her eyes slowly took in the scene and she hissed when she saw Mallik with the upper hand, prepared to slice through Dimitri.

With a shout she dashed forward, her blade slidding off of her back. The huge sword sliced through the air as she reached a spot just behind Mallik. She was quite ready to dice him in two. Anything to prevent the unknown Fighter's death. Hopefully, she thought, this will be enough to distract him.

Mallik heared the blade move throught the air. He twisted hjis own blade and blocked the one behind him, he turned and saw a female fighter behind him, she had been here earlier but had left. "so...going to help out your friend here?...very well...you now share the same fate...prepare to die" he said all this rather emotionlessly.

Mari hadn't expected her reckless move to do anything to Mallik. Really. She wasn't that blinded by hope and confidence. Rather, she was just trying to buy the other guy time. Hopefully, despite whatever condition he may be in, he would be able to get out of the place.

When Mallik blocked her swing and the resounding clang of metal upon metal could be heard through the clearing, Mari scowled. She was going to be late for her meeting.

At his rather emotionless and horribly theatrical words, Mari stepped back, her rather large blade held out in front of her.

"Blah, blah, blah." she stated. "We all die sooner or later. You think I really care about death threats? Go ahead and try to take me down. I'll show you why your fellow gods are just so terrified of us . . . Mallik." She said his name with a hint of vehemence.

On her back, Amaria could feel the tingling of the mark that pegged her as a fighter. This was not going to be an easy fight for her, and if she couldn't control herself, it was going to be a problem. Fighting the sensation and making it go away temporarily, Mari cracked her shoulders.

Shifting her stance, she waited for Mallik to make the first move. Silently she thought to the other fighter.

Whoever the hell you are, if you're smart, you'll get out while you can.

There was a quiet clang of metal against metal, and Christian and Sonney knew that it was most likely the female fighter who went back to help.
"Uggg..." Sonney said, "do we really have to?"
"Hey, we just said we would, right?" Christian said back
"But, it's so much of a hassle!"
"You just don't want to go against another god, huh?"
"Well, there's that, but..." Sonney nodded toward the boar the two had just caught and the trembling man who was nearby, "we got the so-called 'monster' and we said we'd go back to the travelers when we did!"
"Yea, well, to get back, we have to go through the clearing, let's go." Christian waved a hand at the man and Sonney, indicating that they were headed back the way that they had come.
"Fiiiiiiiiiiine." Sonney said, as if her were a little boy who was finally giving up on something he had wanted. One of the few things that Sonney really refused to do was go against another God. It just wasn't usually in his nature. But, even so, he went with Christian, headed back to the clearing that had the fight between the two people.
---
The two charged into the clearing, weapons ready. Christian with his short sword in one hand, and a shuriken in the other. Sonney with his little ball of deadly heat and light that he used when Christian refused to give him one of his weapons. The two came at Mallik from slightly different angles that would be difficult to block without experience and skills that, although rare, Mallik probably had.

Mallik easily dodged there attacks, he sighed" three on one...that's no fun at all...I guess you live for now" he said sounded rather disappointed. he removed his boot from Dimitri's chest. He stuck his sword into the ground He looked over at sonney "I wonder what the reactions of the others will be when they find out you've decide to side with the fighters...unless they've already found out...I for one am rather disappointed" he said in false let down, he then laughed for a few second, He twisted his sword in the ground, a shockwave of energy errupted from it kicking up diry, grass leaves, and if someone wasn't prepared off there feet. when the dust settled mallik was gone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dimitri was knocked back by the shock wave over to his sword, which he had to lean on for support. "...Thanks..." he said weakliy, he coughed and abit of blood fell from his mouth. He breathed slowly, it hurt to breath to deeply. I think he broke a few ribs...and my pride... he thought to himself.
"See? That's why I didn't want to come back and help!" Sonney complained, throwing his little ball of heat and light into a tree, causing that tree and the surrounding trees for 20 feet to vaporize. Being a traitor wasn't new to him, I mean, why do you think he was on the planet to begin with? He was banished form where the gods lived. Not that he liked it there, but there he was closer to the sun! He liked the sun, he was the god of the sun, so of course he liked the sun. Anyways, the only reason that he hadn't been turned back into a mortal was because he threatened to curse the entire planet by making the sun explode in his last moments as a god.
Sonney sat in the smaller, 20 foot clearing that he had made with his makeshift weapon and glared at Christian.
------
Christian ignored Sonney completely and went to help Dimitri with his wounds.
"Here," He said, taking out a roll of bandages from his pouch that he held his shurikens and MP3 player in, "Can you wrap these around your torso, or do you need me to?" He sounded genuinely worried, because, well, he was genuinely worried. He took out a bottle of pain killers and passed a few to Dimitri. Then he sat and went to cleaning his weapons and putting them neatly away.
"I can wrap myself thanks" He said, he removed his arm guards then his shirt. Attached to his left arm was what looked like the sheth to a dagger and a smal peice of metal ran up the side of his pinky and formed a ring around it. He unrolled the bandages and slowly began to wrap himself, he took slow and deep breathes to try an ease the pain himself. He finished wraping himself cut the bandage quickly using his hidden blade then tied up the bandage. He slipped his shirt, armguards and scarf back on before taking his sword out of the ground and shething it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mallik walked grumply throught the halls of the home of the gods. "I hate being the youngest...no one ever tells me anything" he muttered. he had told some of the older gods about sonney, they had told him about sonney's banishment which mallik hadn't known about tell now.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 24, 2008 7:22 pm

"I tried to tell him so. I can't get in anymore trouble from the gods. I'm already banished anyways." Sonney grumbled to himself as he tinkered with the Rubik's Cube he had gotten from his last trip to a city.
----
"Sorry, what was that?" Christian asked, still messing with his blades. The two always ended up getting into a fight when Christian did something to help another fighter. Because then, Sonney felt obliged to help and then he always get another warning from the gods and that ticks Sonney off, for some reason or another.

((OoC: Hey. Sorry it's taken so long for me to post. I'm up at a college program, so it might be a little bit before I can post.))

------------------------------

Amaria was quite glad that Mallik was gone. She knelt down next to the other Fighter, her blade hardly doing anything to throw off her balance. Looking at the bandage, she slowly stood up.

Turning to Sonney and Christian, she smiled. "Thanks you guys for coming back."

She turned back to the other Fighter and held her hand out. "Hey, my name's Amaria. Call me Mari, if it's easier. I don't mind. You gonna' be okay?"

There was a nagging thought at the back of her mind, something about Mallik had struck her as familiar. Something she thought she should remember, but couldn't. At the moment, she decided to just ignore it, hoping that she would remember eventually.

"Oh, right we haven't introduced ourselves to you, have we? I'm Angel, and this is Sonney." Christian said as he waved his shuriken at Sonney, "He's a little grumpy right now." He smiled, and then went back to his sharpening and shining of his shurikens.
"Like hell I'm grumpy!" Sonney said as soon as he realized what Christian had said, "you're the one who got me into this mess. If not for you, we would be back at camp, roasting marshmallows!" He threw his Rubik's Cube at Christian's head, and hit him with the corner of it right above his ear.
"Ow! What the hell was that for? I gave this to you because you said you wanted one!" Christian yelled, waving the cube in the air above his head, "Idiot. Oh, and we don't have any marshmallows anymore. Remember, you ate them all. You pig."
"I may be a pig, but you're worse. You're the one who insists on helping anyone if they need it. You're too nice for a fighter!"
Christian raised an eyebrow, "Excuse me? Just because you think that you're doing all the 'mortals' a favor by keeping the sun in that sky, you're not, I know it was there before you came along. People used to worship the damned thing!" He threw the cube back at Sonney, which hit him in the nose, and headed for one of his newly sharpened shurikens, which he had been putting back in his fuzzy little pouch when the cube came flying at his ear.
Sonney looked offended and looked around for a weapon. He didn't see one, and Christian sure as hell wasn't giving him one, so he went for the little ball of light again. This time in both hands. Holy crap. He was serious.
Christian placed the rest of the shurikens back into the pouch, and then went to the sheath on his back which held his short sword. He didn't grab it. Instead, he reached under his cloak-ish thing and grabbed three daggers whose guards and hilts had been removed, revealing that each had five holes that would fit Christian's fingers. He started twirling them in one hand, the shuriken in the other. And knelt down, his position for a speedy start. He was very serious too.

It all happened too fast for Amaria to take note of. One second, the two seemed to be joking around, and now . . . it seemed that another fight was about to take place.

Really, she thought to herself, you've got to be kidding me! Unable to wait for the other Fighter to introduce himself, she stepped in between the two: Sonney and Angel, without thinking about it.

"Woah! Come on you guys?!? Really? You've got to be kidding me! We just got done with one fight. We don't have time to be patching people up all day now. We don't even need to wait for Mallik to come and try to kill us! You guys are just gonna' do the damn thing for him!"

She sighed, holding her hands up. "Please?" Turning to Sonney, she tried to smile. "Really, we are grateful for . . . whatever it is you do that contributes to the sun being up and all. I'm sure Angel didn't mean all that. Can we just, make sure . . . uhm . . . he's," she gestured to the other fighter," . . . really okay, before we start anything else?"

Well all this was going on Dimitri was fidling with his hiddenblade on his arm and had made a discovery. "...That son of a ...I'm going to murder that guy..." he grumbled angerily. From the sheth he pulled out one of the gears, a small hairline crack ran down the center of it. I gotta replace this soon or I'll have too get a entirly knew blade...and that won't go over well with the master He thought. he sighed and placed the gear back into the sheth, closed it up and adjusted the straps making sure they were tight. He watched the argue ment for amintue and hearing Amaria's comment responded. "I'm fine...I've been in more pain before" He said. "I'm Dimitri by the way" He said.

"Hey! Don't say what I mean! I know what I meant! I said what I meant!" Christian waved his shuriken at Mari, "Don't think that you can stop me from hurting this stupid idiot to get my point across either!"
"Oi!" Sonney said, trying to get Christian's attention, "You shouldn't of rejected that chance to apologize." He turned and motioned to the forest.
"Fine." And then the two both dashed into the forest to fight each other. So much for friends or partners.

"wow...those two huh?" He said looking over at Amaria.

When they reached a clearing that was of decent size to fight in, They both skidded to a stop.
"What, you aren't going to listen to your music?" Sonney said as Christian threw off his cloak. It only got in the way in a serious fight.
"No, then I can't hear your huge a** footsteps as you run up behind me." Christian sneered back at Sonney, half expecting him to retort back.
"Fine. Then lets begin." With that, the two waled off to separate sides of the clearing and readied their weapons.

((leaving the option if someone wants to stop them... but if not, the fight goes on! ))
