"Nothing! Ahh... well not nothing, cheese and the tomato sauce is fine but nothing else." He said, not having meant to sound so rushed but he wanted to make sure he got it plain. He would ask of the guy to give him the pieces of cheese pizza that were farthest away from the meat pizza that were on display.
He looked to see what they had to drink and he perked up, "Oooo, Mountain Dew. My father doesn't let me drink that at home so I get as much of it as I can when I am out and about." He chuckled.

Damaris was a bit surprised at Valens quick response, "Plain pizza is pretty good. I think I'm gonna get peppers and onions though." The lizard girl said with a grin.
"I've never had mountain dew before." Damaris stated nonchalantly. "I guess I never really thought it sounded too good, is it?" She asked a little curious.
The man at the counter seemed to be a veteran at serving food, so it was not long before it was their turn.

"Veggies aren't to bad I am just not a fan of meat." He explained, watching as the people in front of them were served pretty quickly, "I like Mountain Dew, it had an interesting taste. Not something I can drink at home cause of all the sugar and caffeine in it."
When it came to their time being in line the horse boy told the one behind the counter what he wanted, the cheese pizza that was the farthest away from the meat kind. The guy starred a moment before giving a little chuckle seeming to understand just by looking at him. After all how many horses did one see that ate meat?
Valens looked over at Damaris, "We could always get you a second drink in case you don't like the Mountain Dew." He was more then willing to drink what she didn't.

Damaris realized that Valens must be a vegetarian. She'd have to remember that, and remember to not eat meat around him, out of courtesy.
"No, that's alright. I'm sure it'll be fine." Damaris said, she seemed to be pretty smart with her money for some one her age. Unless it came to art supplies, that was her weakness.
After they got their dinner Damaris found them a little table in the court that was just cleared off. It was always a hassle to get a place to sit down to eat at the boardwalk, "Oh, over here!" Damaris exclaimed as she led Valens to the table and quickly sat down before some one else took it.

Valens allowed Damaris to sit first before sitting across from her at the table, setting his drink and plate down before him. He leaned over to inhale the scent of the pizza before taking a big bite of it, "This is really good! You get really big pieces too." It was much better then a lot of the pizza you got from ordering it.
He had nearly eaten half of his food before he came up for air, chewed, swallowed, and drank deeply of his Mountain Dew, "Today has been a lot of fun, I am glad we ran into each other... or well glad your ran into me." He laughed.

Damaris chuckled a little bit as Valens shoveled in the food. She was hungry herself but didn't go at quite the same pace as the horse. She seemed a little surprised at the mountain dews taste but decided she liked it.
When he spoke Damaris nodded, "Uh-huh, I'm really glad too. After dinner though there's one more thing I want to do if that's ok. We should ride the Ferris Wheel, you can see all the lights from the boardwalk shimmering off of the water, it's really nice." She suggested remembering how much she loved the ride last time.

Valens gave a nod between bites, not really seeming to realize how fast he was eat. He always at a quick speed because the less time he spent eating the less he was sitting down. He preferred to be out and out, moving as much as was possible. The only time he really slowed down was to sleep, "Ferris Wheel? Sure, that sounds like fun." He said when he finished the last bite of his food.
He reached over to get a napkin, wiping off his face and hands. When he was done with that he picked up his drink and set to gulping it down. He wanted to go and see the Ferris Wheel which meant finishing up his food!

Damaris laughed at little at the horse boys eagerness. She wasn't as fast as he was, but she tried to eat a little quicker so he wasn't waiting around for her forever.
Once she was done she cleaned up and proceeded to get up from her seat and dispose of her trash, "Alright, the Ferris wheel is that big ride just over there, ready?" She asked giving Valens a smile.

Valens tossed his trash into the can and then gave a rapid nod of his head, "Yes, all ready." He told her, tail swishing behind him. He was all ready to go with her to see and ride the Ferris Wheel, from the looks of it even from a distance he was sure that it was going to be loads of fun. How could it not be great when one got to be so high up?
His eyes widened as they got closer and closer and he realized exactly how big the ride really was, "Woah... awesome..." He breathed, tail still, ears turned forward.
He was in total awe of the ride now that they were this close to it.

Damaris giggled a little at the boys enthusiasm. Luckily for them the line wasn't too long, Damaris looked over at Valens, "Come on, if we hurry we can be next!" She said taking a hold of Valens hand and leading him towards the ride.
When she took his hand she got that sort of funny feeling in her stomach again and started to blush a little. She didn't know what was going on with her.
"U-Uhm, the ride doesn't cost many tickets, I think we'll have some left over for next time." She said as she handed the in charge of the ride her tickets. The hand that was holding Valens went up to fiddle with the necklace he got her, what the heck was she feeling so weird for?

Valens followed after her, looking down at their joined hands and he found himself flushing a little. This must mean that she was his girl right? After all they were even holding hands! The man who ran that game was very smart, he knew stuff about Damaris and Valens without them even knowing!
"I will hold onto the extra tickets for the next time we come here." He said, figuring that since they both had extra tickets they might come together. He handed over the tickets that the ride cost and soon enough they were being seated.

Damaris sat herself down in the seat and waited for the security bar to come down as the ride filled up.
"I've only been on this ride once before, I hope its as fun." She commented still fidgeting with the necklace. She still had that funny feeling, she wasn't sure why, but she knew she got it anytime she was near Valens.

Valens leaned over to looked down when the ride shifted and started to move upwards. He gave a little smile and his tail swished against the seat where it sat, "Wow, so high up." He murmured then patted the bar with his white hands, "And look, something to keep me from falling on my head."
It would sound like a joke but he had lost count of how many times he fallen off high things or out of tall trees. This was probably the highest thing he'd been on in a while if ever, "Neat... its kinda like flying isn't it Damaris?"
He looked over at the lizard girl and gave her a bright smile.

Damaris blushed when Valens smiled at her, and she felt like something was caught in her throat.
"U-u-uh...y-yeah." She said as she continued to turn red as the ride went higher and higher. The girl never felt so strange before, but she sort of liked the way it felt. It tickled her stomach and made her feel tingly.
Damaris began to increasingly fidget with her necklace as the ride went higher and higher. She saw the pretty lights and fireworks that they were doing above the water. Every Friday the boardwalk did a mini fireworks show and Damaris looked over at Valens again and watched the colors reflect dully off of him.
She didn't know what to do, she felt so weird but she felt like she didn't want this ride to stop. Once they were at the very top of the ride Damaris did something that was more out of impulse than anything else. She leaned over and gave Valens a kiss on the cheek.
She could feel her face turning red and she didn't know if this was proper or not, or even if this would make Valens upset with her. She just did what she felt like she should do.

Valens was mesmerized by the bright, flashing light show that was being presented to them. He was completely caught by surprise when Damaris leaned over to kiss him. The horse boy gave a little sound of surprise, eyes went wide, and his tail started to swish rapidly.
He looked over at her, ears turning towards her. After a long moment of thought he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Damaris' temple.
