Wish I still had the damn thing. I'd scan it and we could LOL. I mean, it's just panties, right? Lots and lots of panties...
Actually, I have a lot of weird stuff in my manga collection from back when I could go to BookOff once a month. Japanese used bookstores. Gotta love 'em.
Ahem. I only have 7ish pages to go before I break my record for longest item written solo. I set it more than ten years ago. It's funny, when you're first learning to write fiction, you don't really care that much about how it comes on. You just care that you did it. You coast on enthusiasm.
And then you get particular. And it all goes poof. You have so much to think about.
Well, that's what happened to me. I had to learn how to crank things out at a crazy rate all over again. I think I've got it now with The Doorstop. But I also think I could be going a lot faster...
Had a long conversation with one of the people helping me set up my next project. There was this one point I couldn't seem to articulate. Finally, she went, "Wait, do you mean they're [X]?" and it was like "YES! ...what the crap, why didn't I just say that in the first place?"
The forest. Don't forget about it while admiring the trees.

321 pages! My goodness. The longest original fiction I've ever written was 120 pages. Then I abandoned it. My MC was less interesting than her rarely-mentioned room mate. A bad case of Rebellious Princess Syndrome and an overly blue-blood situation were simply too much for me to handle. It wasn't complete drivvel but pretty close.
The 235 handwritten pages(so divide that by about 3)of my new project are far better.
My fanfiction is getting up there with approximately 290 pages . . . but that's over the course of five years o_o that's scary to think about. I wasn't writing steady for 5 years...but that's still an average of less than sixty pages per year.

Fiction is a lot of work.... I actually think that it's harder than Non-fiction. You have to come up with the details yourself... Well I think i'll have fun with my advice column for the new magazine... My advice column biggrin

XD You guys! ROFL!!!
I'm on Page 321 RIGHT NOW D:. The time- where does it go?
I'd be on Page 322 NOW, but for a few little things.
There's a LiveJournal wide doll-spam event going tomorrow. I did not know this until, oh, about noon today. So I had to go take delicious new pictures for it. They're not the greatest things ever, but the thing kind bit me on the bum. And hey, I managed to roll my camera's counter over! (IE, I have now snapped 10,000 pics with it.)
Then, I had to learn how to make chicken and dumplings. Well, I didn't HAVE to, but who wouldn't want to know that?
And after that, I had to clean out my closet. Disorder in it was staring at meeeeee.
Now, here it is, a quarter after eleven at night. I've had delicious chicken and dumplings, sorted and cleaned up my pics and I'm about 400 words from the doorstop being the longest thing I've ever written.
It isn't even close to done yet D:. I think I got carried away. Ah well.
I have a dictionary file that's out of hand and a huge list of things to fix when I revise. So, yes. Work XD. You see, I wanted to do as much as I could to add to the feeling of being in another world, so even the BOOZE has weird names.

saint_savin Last night I dreamed that I was working on something besides the Doorstop. It was really angsty and surreal and everyone had French names. Very cool! I might use some of the things I remember in other stories some day. I'm at 127K and the going is a wee bit slow since I'm in the middle of a very important conversation. The dream you had sounds funny. ^^ I have very weird dreams sometimes about writing... And you should write down your dreams and put them in stories. I'm doing that with my 'fanfiction'.
Good for you with your 127k! The most I've ever gotten to was 100k. =[ And that piece of writing is gone now. Except for the first 113 pages of it.
By the way...live journal is free, right? I saw yours since you had the link in your first post. It seems cool...says its free...but I want to make sure... >.>

You know, you do have a point. We use Fat Weasel ale to cook- funny thing, you can't DRINK the damn stuff. It's awful. But cook some sausage in it or use it for fish batter- mmm, tasty.
My favorite drinking ale is Fat Tire. It's cheap and good and smells like burnt sugar. Numnumnum.
Actually, considering I'm on Page 322 right now, I think I will drink one now XD.
Hmm, all we have is Skinny Dip. Same company, but it has a little lime in it and they only make it during the summer. Heh. Actually, I'm more of a wine person, but who says no to good ale?
Anyway, a toast to everyone for the encouragement. (Plz to be sticking to Kool Aid or Perrier if you are not of legal drinking age.)
So, umm, needless to say, I am celebrating today!
For anyone else who may be curious- LiveJournal is indeed free, but there are some extra features you can pay for. It's fun! I encourage everyone to get an account XD.

Congratulations on page 322!
/*toasts with Kool-aid, not being legal to drink yet*/
You're doing awesome! And that's a cool dream, I wish my dreams would churn out something worthwhile.
