Draculas-Mistress I'm with Kenshin on this one. I wonder when they'll come out with the animated movies. They should prove interesting. For all we know they could be great! It's nice to see you here Adrain. Are you enjoying the guild? The only thing necessary for evil to triumph... Despite how I feel about the blog writer, I do look forward to this animation. I'm pretty scared about the live action film though. It's rare to see a game-to-film that works well. Silent Hill, Doom and Resident Evil 1 were fun to watch and experience... but then I think about Alone in the Dark (which I have yet to see), the uber pointless House of the Dead, the mega-bad Street Fighter and the atrocious Double Dragon and I end up crying in a corner again. crying It's cool being here. Thanks for inviting me. mrgreen I read some of the RPs and love how well they all flow along. I suck at writing and can never keep track of timing (I tend to rush from one thing to the next) so I end up sounding very scattered. I think I'll read a bunch more before I get inspired to jump in. But you all are amazing. heart ...is for good men to do Nothing.

Would I watch this movie? Well yes, I'd have no choice really; its the only one being made. stare Personally though I believe that any type of movie made out of games can't be any good unless it is a fan-made effort. Big faceless movie companies hire cheap directors, cash in off the build up hype and fan loyalty. The movies themselves aren't made as good as other films and therefore 'date' quickly the best example being the 'Street Fighter' film, here the companies hope to spend as little as possible on the movie's production but aim to make a bigger profit off the fans that spend money watching the movies or buying the movie's cheap tat...sorry Merchandise .
Welcome to the guild Adrian, hope you have fun here. xd

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph... Films like X-men 1 & 2, the Lord of the Rings series and King Kong were made by people who had a deep and long-standing love for the series since their childhoods. Look how those came out. I'm really hesitant on whether or not I'd want to pay to see the live-action... The anime, on the other hand, will be more tolerable because you can do more absurd things with it--like exploding zombies at the hit of a whip--and it won't look too bad (at least I hope not). Thanks for the welcome, Leon. mrgreen ...is for good men to do Nothing.

Thanks Mistress! I'd also like to welcome our newest member. Welcome Adrian! I had no idea you were a newbie cuz I'm sort of recent to the guild myself. I thought you had been here for far longer than I've been here, he-he. mrgreen I gotta say something though, I agree with Adrian on a lot except this: I didn't like Doom or the first 2 RE movies. I was a very avid Doom player and when I saw the movie I went: WTF!? I mean, really! Where were all the uniforms the soldiers from the game actually used? And most of the monsters I saw weren't from the game at all (If they were they did a great job so I wouldn't recognize them). The part that I thought I would like the most (the one in first person like in the game) couldn't have sucked more. It made me dizzier than a person who has spent hours on one of those spinning things at a carnival. Oh and, don't even get me started on the RE movies! I thought they were ok when I first saw them cuz I had no knowledge of the games but, as soon as I played the first one, I didn't see anything good about them. The only thing that stuck true to the games were the virus and the corporation. Where were the characters from the game? Jill barely makes an appearance in the second movie for crying out loud! I'm sorry but those movies sucked big time. Gee, I almost sound like the angry Nintendo nerd, he-he. sweatdrop

You're very welcome Kenshin.
I haven't seen those movies except Silent Hill. I thought it was pretty good. I don't know who's directing it but maybe we'll get lucky and someone who is a fan will direct it.

Most gracious thanks, Kenshin Belmont! mrgreen lol I guess I should explain what I meant about a film being "fun to watch and experience". Doom as a game-to-film wasn't true to the game AT ALL... but I thought it was still fun to watch. The same applies to Resident Evil 1 (not ResEvil 2. I HATED that one): fun to watch and experience, but not at all close to the original game storyline. The best way I can explain this is like watching a movie that's just soooo BAD it's somehow good enough to enjoy. Silent Hill, on the other hand, has to be the only g2f I've watched that was as close as is possible to the game series. The storyline was altered dramatically, but in its own way was still close to the original. Take Pyramidhead for instance. He had absolutely NO BUSINESS being in that film or storyline, but as fan service, he was cool to see. I hope this all makes sense... sweatdrop ...is for good men to do Nothing.

I think it makes sense. I get what you mean. I think that movies that are so bad that they're good are kind of funny. I like to complain about them but I still watch them. Silent Hill in my opinion did service that fans pretty well. I mean my brother is a huge Silent Hill fan and he enjoyed the movie. He didn't like the fact that it was a woman instead of a man but he still like it. I haven't played the game just watched it being played so I don't know if my opinion really matters here. sweatdrop

Yer welcome Mr. Adrian! 3nodding
Really? Well, I suppose it's like I always say: We all have our own opinions and not everyone is gonna like the same things. Thanks for the explanation though. I respect yer opinion but it doesn't make me like those movies any better, he-he.
Hmm, that doesn't make much sense to me cuz, like I said, I haven't played the SH games. Heey mistress, yer opinion matters for sure! At least you had a bro who's played the games. I don't even have that! mrgreen

Thanks for that Kenshin. 3nodding Yeah sometimes I would even help him through the games. One time he tried to play Castlevania and he's really good with games and I'm not too good with them lol Anyway he couldn't get past the first part and that made me laugh so hard. xd It made me feel good about my game playing abilities.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph... It's totally understandble, Kenshin. I guess I can be quirky about films sometimes. One good example of "So Bad, It's Good":the Evil Dead film series. The films weren't anywhere near good enough to make it in the box office, but they're so laughably bad that the whole series has a huge fanbase. My gaming skills are 'meh'. I'm too chicken to play any horror games. I watched my bestfriend and helped with the FAQs for all the SHs and Fatal Frame 1. We plan on doing Fatal Frame 2 this Halloween. blaugh I suck at any Castlevania platformer. lol. ...is for good men to do Nothing.

Yer welcome mistress! It's nice to see you can help out yer bro during games. Ha-ha! Really? Which CV did he try? The first one for the NES maybe? Cuz if that's the one, I could understand. The first two for the NES are quite difficult but, I find the first one to be even more so than the second one. You know, I've never even heard of the "Evil Dead" film series till now. I suppose I should look at one if I get the chance, Don't worry, my gaming skills aren't as great as they used to. I remember that I was able to finish certain games as the first "TMNT" game for the NES. If you don't know which one I mean, you should take a look at this video. I don't agree with the guy on his review cuz I managed to beat that game. I remember it was tough but not impossible like the first CV for the same console. A box mistress? That's weird... maybe you are easily startled like the sand people, he-he. sweatdrop But you'll be back, and in greater numbers, ha-ha! lol

I was hoping that someone could clear this up for me. I've been hearing two things from sites and people. I heard that the movie was going to come out sometime in 2009, but now I'm hearing that it's being delayed to 2010. Is this true? I really don't wanna wait that long. gonk
