((Ok, thank you for telling us. We'll try not to get too far ahead))

Veera flew back to the dining hall after announcing the meal was ready to everyone. The long table, normally just used as the eating place of all the priests and priestesses when there wasn't a special event, was set with the finest wares their realm had. The chairs were all evenly spaced to provide room for fairies to stretch their wings. The food, various dishes from all the realms, and even a few based off human meals, was neatly arranged so that it was accessible to everyone.

The high priestess sat at the head of the table, being the hostess of this event, more or less. Servants stood ready to pour drinks, or assist in any other way. She folded her hands, greeting their guests and Faye with a warm smile when they entered. A few of the higher ranking priests and priestesses were also seated at the other end of the table, where they would not get in the way of their guests' conversations.

Koreck also took at seat at the table, earning him a glare from Veera, which he ignored. He was only there since he had nothing better to do, and had not intentions of eating. The high priestess watched him suspicously for a moment, before shaking her head with a sigh.

(( Don't worry, I won't be able to get far without you, anyway!))

For one brief moment a relieved smile slipped out of Lasarina's defenses, but it quickly turned into a lopsided grin. "I can't wait for this whole thing to be over with; it'd be nice to be able to visit a place with flowers more often." She said lightly, winking at the end of it to let Violet know that the earth princess wasn't the only one who liked sitting in plants. Sure, it was letting someone in through her defenses, but alliances would be a good thing to make while here. Weither her brother won or not, she was going to need friends, because if Cain won then she would need someone to talk to, and if he lost then she would need to be friends with whichever family won. At least, thats what she was telling herself.

(( I'll be able to post a little more frequently now, but I guess I don't need to yet. 3nodding ))

Elc gave a little wave to the departing rulers before starting up the path toward where the children were, planting his long staff into ground decisively with each step. The staff stood slightly taller than he, and was made from wood grown specifically for it from a seed of the willow tree which the Air Realm castle stood on. Adorning the top was a burnt orange jewel that he had got from the Moon Realm, which was what allowed him to access the human world so readily. It wasn't like he could just flip over there whenever, but it did give him a little flexibility about where he went. The staff was mostly a status symbol, and served little use other than to make him look cool, he thought.
He strode up behind the young princes and princess and deftly called wind to make his coat flutter slightly and make a soft noise. His head was lowered just enough so that his hat covered his boyish, elf-like eyes, and only the bottom half of his face was seen clearly. "Good evening, Prince of Fire, Prince of Earth, and Fairy of Gold." He spoke loud enough to be heard, but curled the end of every one of their titles slightly into a dramatic softness. People expected someone called 'The Oracle' to act a certain way, and he was happy to oblige.
Sometimes, it was just plain cool being him
"I was told to watch over you and the other princes during your stay." He was pretty sure Miranda had been joking about that part, but it was as good excuse as any for getting closer to the Lady Faye.
Purely for academic reasons, of course.
As he spoke, he studied the newest addition to the royalty. The Fairy of Gold was indeed very pretty, he had to admit. He had heard that she had once been human, and was eager to speak with her about what it was like to suddenly be a fairy.
He pointed with his staff. "Lady Faye, Lord Evan, I believe you are both wanted at the table. King Evan and Queen Miranda are already inside, but I'm sorry Lady Faye, I am not sure where you are meant to sit. I'm sure Queen Veera has the arrangements planned out.
"Prince Cain, I do not think your Lord has arrived yet. Will he be joining us, or will you and your sister be going in now?"

Cain's calm face went a little stoney and his fists tightened at his sides. "I'm not quite sure of that myself," He ground out stiffly, his voice no longer soft spoken. "He only told me that he had "the greatest confidence" in me, and then made no motion towards packing at all to come." He explained. He took a deep breath and let out slowly, lossening his hands and forcing himself to smile. "I suppose if it strikes his fancy to come then he'll come." He said in a forced nonchalant sounding voice, shrugging.

((My cousin wants me to give you the link to her RP. She actually got the idea from you guys. See, Klepto's my cousin, and Firefly's her sister, so Klepto's been blabbing about the RP to her, and... well the result is the RP Firefly made. You can probably see the influence Firefly gave to Klepto when it came to designing Lasarina... Anyway! Here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/barton-town/the-otherworld-s-fairy-war/t.40986963/ ))

It was the next morning in the Water Realm. Wafiya woke only to notice it was raining. She got out of bed to go into the living room. Wafiya flicked on the TV and started to watch the morning news. She is only twelve but it became a habit to watch the morning news after she moved out and her mother wasn't there to fill her in on all the latest happenings between the Realms.
After a dreary hour of eating breakfast and getting dressed, Wafiya was ready to make some plans. Sitting at home all day was not in Wafiya's mind. She walked into the living room and noticed she should re-decorate. She lost herself re-decorating all afternoon...

((Ok; back!))

Violet was also surprised to hear this sentence; was this girl mocking her, or was she actually being serious? Judging by how her smile seemed to change to a normal grin in a few seconds, it was hard to tell. Perhaps she was actually being totally and completely real about it.

But if she was (which it seemed to be)...........was it just for the sake of alliances, did she really want to be friends, or what? Either way, there was really no real reason not to trust her; even if it was just for alliance sake, it's still a good reason none the less, and good reason to keep in good company of each other. Showed it didn't just rest on Faye and the gentlemen, this whole ending-fighting thing.

Violet nodded in eager agreement, but with a kind smile; she was READY to end this dinner. Not because she was trying to get away from Lasarina's tries, but because she wasn't much of a people person in general.

Evan saw the Oracle appear, wanting to watch over the young masters. Most likely Mother's idea; it seemed like something she would say, either jokingly or for real. But he nodded in agreement with him as to get going.

"Alright then; I guess we should get a move on. Don't worry; we'll find where you're supposed to sit! Formal dinners like this aren't as scary as they might seem!" Evan told the girl Faye cheerfully as they slowly made their way in (in case Cain wanted to join them; no harm in it, right?), and he said this in a cheerful fashion. Strange, he used almost the exact same words to Violet...

(( Welcome back ))

Elc returned Prince Cain's clearly forced smile with a half-smile of his own and left it at that; a (pardon the pun) hot-head like the Prince of Fire would only be offended if he carried that line of conversation further. He would maybe ask one of the other monarchs later what new tensions were within the Court at Fire.
"I see," he said. "Well then, I guess if you'd like, you have every right to sit with the other rulers in your father's stead." He nodded pointedly at Lady Faye and smiled slightly. "Though I suspect you'd rather sit near the young lady."
He took a step toward the opening of the dining hall, but diplomatically waved his staff in a 'go ahead' gesture to the Prince. Lady Faye and Lord Evan had already made their toward the congregation.

That lopsided grin became more of a friendly smile. Lightly the Spitfire Fairy jumped down from the plant, fluttering her wings just enough to stop herself from breaking her legs on the landing. "Oh, I didn't know you were still down here, Cain..." She paused and looked over at the Oracle, then she nodded her head in greeting, the smile dissolving down until it was barely seen. "You better hurry on, brother; she's getting away." Lasarina suggested in a voice that barely covered her sadness and jealousy, jerking her head towards the retreating backs of Faye and Evan.

Cain frowned now; he had to admit that he was extreamly worried about Lasarina. She had been acting very strange lately, and it was bothering him. They'd always been close, in fact, they couldn't have been closer if they were twins, and she had always told him everything. Now, though, Lasarina didn't talk much and most of the time she was acting; he could tell it because although she had always been a good actor she had never really succeeded in hiding her feelings completely. If Elc hadn't been standing right there and the Earth Prince and Faye not that far away he would've said something, but he knew how Lasarina was with her foolish pride; of course, he had a fair amount of pride as well, but part of having that much pride is in not admitting you have it.

He took a deep breath and nodded in agreement with his sister. "Of course, I'll talk to you later then." He promised her, meaning every bit of it. The first moment he could get his sister alone he was going to demand she tell him what was wrong. No more lies, no more acting, no more beating around the bush. She would tell him or face his firey wrath. He turned from Lasarina, fully intending to leave the problem behind for awhile, but he knew good and well that he was probably going to be thinking about it and worrying about it all through dinner.

A few quick, long, strides caught him back up with Evan and Faye. He didn't say anything as he fell into step beside them. He really didn't like that his first impression on Faye would be of him when he was worried, upset, frustrated, and moodly. Maybe if he was really lucky she liked the silent type. Yeah, that was it, he needed to hope for the best and try to forget his problems for the moment. He needed to forget that his father was being even more stand-offish than normal and his siter was quite possiably turning into a spaz, he needed to focus on wooing the pretty girl beside him. Still, he hadn't yet decided if he liked her yet.

Violet was about to fly on down and join them right that moment, but noticed that the fire princess seemed to be a bit moody when she landed next to her brother, so the young Earth fairy waited a moment and watched Lasarina carefully. Even with the acting coverup, Violet immediately knew the very reason she was moody and her smile faded; the whole situation. Lasarina seemed to be normally pretty close to her brother Cain, but since he had to go and woo a woman, that made things very difficult for the fire princess. Violet knew this because she was in the same fix herself with her brother.

However, Violet had expressed such concerns to Evan before they left. Evan had listened quietly as she vented her anger, fear, and worry that if the lady was won he'd completely abandon his sister in both the aspects of friend and sister. She had figured that he was looking foward to this, since she was a pretty lady and all. In fact, what had surprised her was that Evan admitted that he was scared to death of this whole mess, and that he felt like everyone he knew would dump him in shame if he failed. It was a very heated yet honest conversation, but in the end they had made a promise............a promise to stay friends and siblings no matter what happened here. That, and Evan had begged Violet for some tips, which she gladly gave. That part was funny.

But it really did seem like, as she watched Cain leave, that the women were gonna have to stick together through this mess. She could see that the mess was taking a toll on even the fire princess, so they might as well do their best to help each other. She jump and spread her wings, and flew down next to the lady, landing so softly that her feet were not heard.

Violet turned to Lasarina; this help would mean Violet would have to open up.......think as if she was talking to Evan. "A-ah, best we get moving, I guess. Probably don't want to hear their oh-so-lovely wooing skills and whatnot (poor Faye, when you think about it), so let's find some peaceful seats." she joked, hopfully.

Evan was secretly glad for company of Cain as they walked to the dining room. He already had a plan for a wooing shot (courtesy of Violet); once they find Faye's seat, simply pull out the chair for her, let her sit, then push her in. The two siblings had actually practiced this (and thankfully did this, for the first time had nearly squished his sister by pushing in too far). He hoped he wouldn't screw it up. Not just for hte kingdom, but for the simple fact that she was beautiful, and already seemed to have his heart on a string.

((akumu_no_koinu has been having difficulty posting, just thought you all should know))

Veera smiled as the two princes and Faye entered the room, and gestured to the table, "Please, sit wherever you like. We have no formal arrangments."

She debated silently with herself if she should bless the meal in the name of the moon goddess as she always did when everyone arrived. She doubted the other realms took part in such things, since their elements were differant. Perhaps she should just do so quietly. She she folded her hands, and her wings around her, bowing her head. A few others in the room saw her, and followed suit with their own private prayers.

Koreck leaned back a little in his chair, offering the three a polite nod of acknowledgment. He hadn't seen fairies of other realms for quite some time, and was curious about them at the most. Depending on their temperments, he just might decide to live in a differant realm sometime, or at least pay it a visit. Moonlight did get tiresome after a time.

Elc was slightly surprised; these formal dinners were almost always suffocatingly uptight until enough people were drunk. Queen Veera, it seemed, was trying her best to make things less formal for the sake of Lady Faye and the Princes. Elc inwardly approved.
The Oracle had wisely taken a seat just in between King Eric and where he hopped the hopeful bachelors and bachelorette would sit. He still wanted to speak to the young Lady about her former humanity, and always liked to answer anyones questions, as they inevitably would ask once the party started. Across from him sat a curious man with dragonfly wings. Koreck, Elc assumed. Verra's go-to man, and an unsavory character he had heard. But, Elc had learned not to put too much stock into rumors; When he first lived in the human world, there was quite a bit of rumors about him, too.
When Elc noticed Queen Veera's lowered head, he took off his own hat and rested it on the back of his chair, unveiling his jet black hair and and sky-blue eyes. Then he bent his forehead in his own semblance of reverence. "Good food, good drink, thank God, let's eat." Elc mumbled a mock prayer he had heard in the human world, then sat back carefully, watching the other guests.

Lasarina blinked for a moment in shock, and then she flashed wone of her lopsided grins. "Ah, she speaks! And she has a sense of humour!" She joked, laughing a little. When she stopped laughing her eyes looked relieved, if Violet was going to try to be talkitive then Lasarina could try not to be so sarcastic all the time. She honestly would like to be friends with Violet, she seemed nice, kind of quiet how her brother was when he was thinking about something or plotting some prank they were going to play.

"Sure, I'd love to sit far away from the wooing of the Lady Faye... Poor Faye, I'd hate to be the center of attention like that..." She said thoughtfully, and once she started expressing the little thoughts in the back of her mind she couldn't quite stop. "Just imagine. You're taken away from your home and you're in a brand new place you know nothing about, and now you have to pick some guy to marry, while you have others competeing constantly for your attention." Lasarina shuddered slightly, frowning as she thought about it. At the same time she wanted to hate Faye for taking away her brother and only friend, she felt sorry for her, and it was a little confusing being Lasarina right now without the mixed feelings.

At the sound of sarcasism in the girl's voice, Violet wondered for a moment if this was really going to be worth it. She could survive on her own, most likely. But stopped such thoughts when the girl was actually thinking over the words; a sign that perhaps that sarcasism was merely a defense meganism, much like Violet's silence. They were both stretching to make this work.

"Yeah; it's really freaky when thought over enough, and it kinda mixes up the emotions to a point where you can't really tell what you feel anymore. On one hand I at first hated the girl for this, but then I realized that she was in more trouble than we are." Perhaps if we could help her understand this world better, her transition would be smoother....

Violet suddenly thought this to herself, then decided to wait until she could see what kind of person Faye was. After all, no one would want to help a jerk.
