Kanis hugged her father back then stood straight next to her sister. She was just a tiny bit taller that Aras.
Her father was as nice as she thought he was from her vase. She wondered if he would tell her more stories about knights. She wanted to learn as much as she could.
When her father moved her to his should she balanced pretty good though she stood with her hand holding the bottom of Celebor's ear.
Ruran's fists tighten as his father had spotted him and he came over. "No...I don't like crowds." He voice was cool and still. He was going to add that he was not found of his sister but he kept that part quiet.
He stood up on the table his arms still folded over his chest. His eyes that could be bright, were hooded with boredom.
Niyana smiled, "I would love that and I am sure the children would love having thier own rooms....especially Ruran." she laughed warmly.
"You are welcome here any time you want Jair. Maybe we have have Starr and Storm make a room with a pound or river for you." She smiled as images of what Celebor and her would do with their own private hidden pool.
Joruri looked around and his hand relaxed at the soft rubbing of her thumb. "Joruri...never been outside....like this." His look told her he was telling the truth. He stood looking around as if he didn't know what anything was.
He turned his gaze onto the young elf infront of him. "Joruri sorry....Mistres Idhril lead on."

Celebor smiled softly at Ruran, noting the clenched fists. They worried him, but he tried not to show it. Apparently Ruran really couldn't stand crowds ... or was there something more bothering him?
"Girls," he murmured softly, taking his daughters from his shoulders and setting them carefully on the floor, "why don't you go see your mother and grandmother and uncle for a bit, I think I need to talk to Ruran alone for a minute, all right?"
He smiled reassuringly and ushered them back towards the front of the cave.
Aras looked curiously at Kanis, then nodded at Celebor. "Okay, Daddy," she agreed willingly. "But don't be too long, okay? Come out soon!"
And she took Kanis's hand and started off towards the front of the cave obediently.
Elnara smiled at Niyana, but her eyes were questioning. "Oh?" she asked in a curious tone.
Jair was completely distracted by the idea of a pool all for himself, and when Elnara set him on the floor he laughed and rocked back and forth on his tail excitedly.
Idhril blinked at Joruri. "Well it's so pretty!" she told him enthusiastically, forgetting now about her wounds and tugging Joruri forward again. "Come on, we can run a little! It's so nice!"
A short distance away, she spotted what looked like a circle of trees.
"Oh, that looks nice!" she exclaimed. "Come on, let's check there! Maybe Celebor and Niyana are there!"
It looked like shelter anyways.

Ruran wanted to tell his father not to bother. He had noting to say but the girls had been let down and were walking out already...great.
Kanis looked up at Ruran then her father wail she was lowered. He jumped off her father's hand and nods, "She dad..." she looked down at her hand taken up in Aras' and shrugged following her out into the main room.
Niyana nods, "Ruran...well he doesn't seem to like others very well, and yes Jair can come and visit us any time. I am sure you wouldn't mind would you Ruque?"
She saw the girls coming out and she smiled, "Oh is Celebor and Ruran talking?"
Joruri was not too found of running though he did as she bid him too. He nods. He didn't know Niyana or Celebor so he would just have to trust idhril that they would be there.

Once the girls were out of the room, Celebor sat down and folded his arms across his chest, then leaned forward closer to Ruran.
"Did something happen?" he asked his son in a tone that, while it was gentle, wasn't quite soft. He had a feeling, the strangest thought, that his son wouldn't appreciate him using a soft tone like that with him. "Did the girls do something to you?"
Ruque stood up on Niyana's shoulder and tried to peer over her head, trying to see if he could see what his father and brother were up to. Was Ruran getting into trouble for being grumpy?
Aras looked up at Niyana and shrugged one shoulder.
"Daddy asked us to come here so that he can talk to Ruran," she explained, "but I don't know what about." She looked over at her sister. "Do you know what about?"
Idhril stopped running soon, because the rubbing on her thighs hurt with all of the pieces of bark still in her skin, and soon she was walking very oddly indeed, trying to keep her thighs from rubbing against each other.
"Maybe we should just go there slowly," she murmured, pulling unconsciously on Joruri's hand and drawing herself closer to him.

Niyana reached up and taking Ruque into her hands placed him on the floor. "It is not nice to spy....let them talk besides we need to make brunch for everyone huh? Okay who all wants to help me?"
Ruran turned his cool eyes too his father, "I don't like them..." he said flatly. And he really didn't. He didn't see why his father was worrying so much.
Kanis shrugged, "Nope...but I am sure what ever it is they will need a moment...we should not push them...maybe it is bout you sitting infront of his vase and dad is going to talk to you next?" She teased her sister then at her mother's words looked up, "I guess I can help."
Joruri watched her movements. He could tell now she had lied to him earlier and as soon as her soft hand tugged him closer he knelt down and swooped her up into his arms.
"Joruri carry Mistress Idhril...." he said and continued walking towards the grove. "Joruri walk how ever Mistress wants him too." he said softly. He wanted to stop her pain any way he could. He would never forgive himself is she scared or every time he saw her wound.

Celebor blinked, taken completely by surprise by his son's words. For a moment he didn't know how to respond ... but then he chuckled, more out of unease than amusement.
"Well, you're very blunt," he murmured, "and honesty is a virtue ... but can you tell me why you don't like them? There must be a reason after all."
Aras's eyes grew wide with worry at her sister's words, and she looked up at Niyana, horrified. "Mommy is Daddy going to talk to me next because I was sitting by Ruran's vase?" she asked in a terrified voice. "I was just sitting there, I didn't do anything to him!"
Ruque headed over to his sister and patted her on the back. "It's okay," he told her in a soft tone. "You just have to tell Daddy that and then he won't be mad."
Not that he really knew, but he wanted his sister to feel better.
Elnara was amazed by everything that was going on in there. Such a short time Celebor had been gone, really, and yet things were so ... chaotic.
"I'll help you," she offered to Niyana, "just tell me what you want me to do."
Jair rolled onto his stomach and rested his chin in his hands. "Aw, everyone's leaving me alone!" he pouted, his leathery wings drooping on his back. "Not fair!"
Idhril gasped with surprise as Joruri picked her up, and she blinked at him from where she lay suddenly, in his arms.
"Thanks, Joruri," she murmured, blushing slightly, embarrassed that she had been caught out. She put her arms around his neck to make it easier for him to carry her and lay her head against his chest. "Just keep going to that grove there, I think I hear voices or something ... and you can walk any speed that's comfortable for you, okay?"
She smiled up at him. "I never hurt when you're carrying me."

Ruran tried not to glare, "And why should I discus my reasons for not liking them...everyone has a right not to say things." He was testing his father. That and he knew he reasons would be belittled. For one so young his mindset was rather messed up. Something clearly went wrong during reaction.
Kanis sighed and looked to Jair. "Its okay I will stay with you uncle." she said softly and looked up at her mother, "Mom I am going to stay with uncle you and Grandmother will have to handle the cooking." she saluted her mother.
Niyana watched the drama at thier feet and sighed, maybe her joke about four children should not have been made. She nods and saluted Kanis back, "You got it...Well lets see...what we have to work with shall we miss Elnara?"
She moved to the stone table. She placed some dried and wrapped meat on the table and threw some herbs on it as well, "What would you like?"
Joruri blushed at her sound words, "Thank you Mistress Idhril..." He was glad to hear he could help her in a small way. He held her strongly in his arms as he headed to the grove.
Voices...how many were going to be there? Would she leave him now? He really did not want to see his life giver go...but he had no right to stop her. He would be lost without her but he would try to better himself for her...or figure out what he could be that would be best for her.

Celebor nodded thoughtfully. "That is true," he agreed, "and yet if it's possible to talk about the reasons behind things, then it is also possible to prevent future conflict. I can't promise that I will change your mind, I may not even try to persuade you, but it's best if I can at least try to understand you. Whether you like them or not, they are your sisters, and until you're grown you have to live with them ... and even if you don't like them it would just be easier if you could at least get along with them."
He paused. "But I can't help you at all if you don't tell me why you don't like them," he concluded patiently. "I won't make you, but I am asking that you do tell me."
Jair's eyes lit up. "Really?" he asked eagerly. "Way cool!"
He couldn't go far on his own anyways so he was very glad that at least one of his brother's children were willing to spend time with him.
Elnara smiled at Niyana. "Well, I don't know what supplies you have," she replied, "so why don't you choose? I'm not a picky eater, I'll eat anything you decide to make."
Idhril smiled again and relaxed in Joruri's arms, looking ahead at the grove that was steadily drawing closer. She was sure of it now - she could definitely hear voices ... though she didn't recognize the loud ones, and the softer ones were drowned out.

Ruran wanted to laugh, who said he wanted to fix it or avoid conflict? He sighed, "I can just ignore them wail I live here...then we I am old enough I will not have to deal with them"
He could still hear them talking but his father did asking him about it so he would talk....though he didn't think talking was very manly. "I don't like thier voices...or their attitudes. Aras would listen and only does what she wants...expect towards you." He started.
Niyana laughed, "No Aras I am sure you wont get in trouble...he might just want to ask you a few things."
She looked back to her mother in law. "Well lets see...we have fish...rabbit....and venison. So you pick the meat....we also have furits and plenty of herbs for seasoning. I think we also have some greens...maybe we should start a garden one day." she laughed warmly.
Kanis nods, "I guess it is cool...so what should we do?" She moved over to stand next to Jair looking him over.
He didn't look much like her dad...but then again...neither did she look like her siblings...though she had not gotten to look at her differences yet in a mirror.
As Joruri neared the grove and he could start to hear the voices his moments slowed. He was ready to make a break for it if these voices were not those of Idhril's friends. He could see the door to a cave open....caves didn't have doors normally did they?

Celebor stared at his son, looking at him intently and trying to see through his words, looking for his son's true feelings. He just couldn't believe that he would be so indifferent to his family ... especially right off the bat.
"You know, they're just newly born," Celebor pointed out, "just like you ... they will change as they grow, maybe you should just give them a bit of time?"
He paused. "Still ... I know I can't change your thoughts ... but I do want you to do one thing for me, and this is not a request."
He leaned closer to his son's face, his eyes perfectly serious. "I don't want you to ignore them and pretend that they're not here, and I do not want you to start any fights with them. If they cause a fight then you have the right to defend yourself, but I don't want you to start anything."
He paused. "Is that clear?"
He didn't want to have to be so harsh with his son, but it seemed he didn't have much of a choice ... and he had a feeling Ruran wouldn't listen any other way.
Aras sighed with relief. She wasn't going to get into trouble! She turned to Ruque and smiled, then pointed over at Kanis and their uncle Jair. "Come," she grinned at him, "let's go play with them!"
Ruque grinned and nodded. "Okay," he agreed, and headed over towards Kanis and Jair.
Jair looked thoughtfully at Kanis. "Well, I don't know," he admitted. "I kind of can't move in here, not without water to swim in ... do you know any games where we can sit or something? Or maybe we could tell stories, I went treasure hunting you know, and I found lots of neat stuff ..."
Elnara smiled at Niyana. "Venison sounds wonderful," she grinned, "if it's not too much trouble. Maybe some smoked venison, if you have it, with a side of sliced fruit? Nice and light for a morning brunch."
Idhril's eyes grew bright once more as she looked up at Joruri. "I hear my Mama!" she exclaimed excitedly. "And my brother, Jair! I think we might have found the right place, Joruri!"
And she hugged her face against his chest.

Ruran listened to his father. He did not care if they were newly born. He did not think he would change at all.
He bowed his head at his father order. "I will not start a fight with them but I will not let them win if they start one." He said. He growled he wanted to ignore them. He did not want to play or humor them.
"Yes sir it is clear." At least his mother did not take all of his father's power away.
Kanis turned to her siblings. "Um we don't know any games do we? And I thik the only story we know are some ones our father told us..." she smiled, "But I am sure we would love to hear of your treasure hunting!"
She moved to sit in front of her small uncle.
Joruri blushed at her happiness. But knew she would leave them now. He would be alone...he almost whished she would kill him before she left. Then he would not have to feel longing to be near her.
"Mistress Idhril found them..."
Niyana nods, "Yes I think we can do that." she put the none venison away then moved to start the fire smoking more than burning and placed the meat inside. "Any type of fruit?" She asked as she pulled up some apples, pinapples, and pears.

Celebor nodded and straightened. "Good," he said crisply. "Don't forget it. Now come on, we've got guests, your grandmother and uncle. Come socialize - and don't forget to be polite."
He picked up Ruran and set him on the floor so that he could walk himself. He had a feeling that anything less would upset his son.
Jair grinned and sat up again, slapping his tail against the rock floor.
"Well," he began, "it was my first time coming to this world ... my uncle took me, Uncle Ryu, since he's a mer too but he learned magic so that he can walk. Anyways, he took me here, and we were in the river in a cave, and it was so dark in there - and my cousin Naida was there with me and the two of us went out into the dark cave all by ourselves ... it was so dark we couldn't see a thing ..."
His tone was awe-filled, as if he had been going through a terrifying adventure, trying to bring his niece into the story as much as he could.
Elnara blinked at the fruit. She recognized the apple and the pear of course, but she had never seen the other one, and had no idea what it was called.
"Why not that one?" she asked, pointing at the one she didn't recognize. "It looks good, and I've never tried it before."
Idhril giggled at Joruri and hugged him tightly. "Not by myself," she chided him, "you helped me, Joruri! Thank you so much! Come, let's go inside, okay? Then I can introduce you to Mama and Jair! I'm sure they'll like you! You don't have to be afraid of them, okay?"
Aras's ears twitched. She had been about to sit down with Ruque and Kanis, but she thought she heard a voice ... a new voice ...

Ruran growled softly. He really just wanted to be alone. He sighed and followed his father. He just wanted to be alone for now.
He walked out not looking very happy but he would be poliet.
Kanis sat there listening her eyes lit up. This was so awesome. She knew an adventurer. She litsened intently to her uncle though she did not know his relatives she did not ask.
Niyana laughed, "You have never had a pineapple miss Elnara?" She looked shocked. "Its really tangy and juicy. I love them...okay we will mix them with some apples and get a good mix....and then we can have the smoked meat as well."
She smiled and whipped out a knife from her pants and started to carve the spines and skin off the pineapple.
Joruri looked shocked at her. He was not sure....he knew that deep down what they had been doing, though it was purely innocent might not seem that way.
"Joruri carry Mistress Idhril or Mistress walk?" He asked softly wanting to hold her close more. Though he would let her go if she wanted.

Celebor followed slowly after Ruran, taking small strides so that he wouldn't come up too quickly behind his son.
"Sorry about that," he apologized to everyone as they joined them, "we just needed to work a few things out. Mom, this is Ruran ... Ruran, your grandmother ... and over there with your siblings is your Uncle Jair."
Jair wasn't paying attention to Celebor though, he was engrossed now in his story.
"My cousin Naida," he went on, "she was so scared we were going to get lost, because we couldn't see the water we were in, we couldn't see in front of us or behind us or beside us, we didn't know where the walls were or where we were going or nothing! But I just held her hand to make her feel better and I told her, It's okay, we just have to go straight and we'll be right where we want to be!"
Aras was sure of it now, there were definitely voices coming from outside. She glanced over her shoulder at the others, then slowly, quietly, headed towards the door to see who was there.
Idhril looked at the ground, then at her legs, and then back up at Joruri. She of course was completely innocent in her thoughts of what had been going on between them, and she saw nothing wrong with any of it.
"I feel better when you carry me," she told him softly, "but if you don't want to anymore then I can walk."

Ruran nods his head, "Hello...grandmother." He said looking at his mother and grandmother...cooking like women should. And his sibling listening to another child. Some family he was born into.
Kanis was just engrossed with hearing it. She just wanted to hear how they got out of if they found the treasure or had to fight!
She though did see her sister moving away. "Aras...where are you going uncle is not done with the story..."
Joruri shook his head, "Then Joruri carry....Joruri want mistress Idhril to feel better." he moved to the front of the cave and allowed Idhril to knock on the door.
