"I use a napkin silly!" She replied, ruffling his hair. "You're turning red kid!" She laughed lightly.

Loni shrugged slightly at Sally's question.
"Hey, you never know. Girls with wisdom are extra cute when they're already good-looking. Just keep that mind."

She shrugged. "Well, nearly everyone gets strange with age," she smiled. "I just like ice cream and teasin' the youngins."

Lynn walked behind the two, watching as a third joined the group. She took a while to notice that it was Loni, the oldest Immortal in the entire area. She gradually grew the nerve to talk to him, you see she found that she respected Loni, regardless of how old he was. She usually hated those older, like Cyrea and Loni, but(although she did hate Cyrea), she liked Loni and found herself having to think before she spoke to him. She thought for a bit longer and than said, unusually politely for her, "Uh... Loni? A-are you participating in the mortal festival?" That got some strange looks from the mortals around, on the street, probably because she said 'mortal festival' instead of just 'festival', but whatever.

Loni turned around and knelt down before Lynn so he could see her eye to eye. He knew that she despised mortals with every fiber of her being, but easily thought up a way to go along with her question.
"I think I might. These mortals need to need to become party gods like myself."
He shot a few "what's up?" looks at the surrounding mortals.
"Why do you ask, Lynn?"

((sorry again, I took a shower, so sorry for the late reply... redface ))
"O-oh," Lynn exclaimed as Loni turned and knelt. She then listened to what he had to say and giggled at the 'party god' statement then responded to his question like follows, "I was just wondering. I-it's not like I wanted you to come and watch me preform or anything!" She hurried past him, so that he would not see her blushing, and kept going past Matt and Sally, who seemed to be having a random conversation about some-thing-or-another.
She reached the stage while it was just about ready for the kids to stomp around on it to test it's strength. She avoided having to be one of those kids, mainly because it would kill her feet in the high heels she was wearing. She saw Mike, looking somewhat spaced out, wandering around in the crowds of kids. She walked up to him and talked. He simply ignored her and walked away.

"Hnth?" she slid off, confused. She looked up at him, wondering what caused his change in mood. She let go, putting her hands on her pockets. Okay, she didn't have a partner, but she didn't exactly feel like telling him right then.

((Here goes- first post!)) Kyfen looked down at the city below him. The sun was beginning to set, sending fire-orange rays of dazzling light across the dull grey buildings, turning the glass windows golden. The long grass swayed slightly in the breeze, rubbing agaisnt the bottom of his legs, and making him shiver slightly with cold. Maybe he should get back to the home soon.
Time passed, but Kyfen didn't. He sat down after a little while, looking at insects scurrying beneath his feet. One paticular beetle expressed an interest in him, scuttling up his arm and perching on it expectantely, as if waiting for something. Since there was no-one else, Kyfen decided he was glad of the company. "You know... The festival's coming up soon." He said, addressing neither the bug nor himself. "They were talking about it at school, you know. I have to be on the dragon float for the parade. I hope after I can go off and do what I want."
Memories of past festivals came and went. "Did you ever go to the festival- Mum? Dad? There's this girl there, always, every year. She never looks any different, and when I asked Mr Jason he said she'd looked the same since he was a kid too. Isn't that wierd?" Kyfen stopped, and sighed. He should've grown out of this years ago, talking to ghosts of his parents that couldn't possibly exist. That girl was probably someone in a costume. Adults always lie, after all. Kyfen got up, shook the beetle off himself and made his way back into town.

All around Cyrea, a festival was being built. She didn't care. The mortals couldn't see her in her black cloak. But, when she saw more of the immortals, she walked up to them. "Oi. Matt. Sally. Loni. It's me. The mortals can't see me, so pretend you're talking to each other."

Loni stood up quickly and watched as Lynn hurried away from him. He scratched the back of his head in confusion. No one had told him that she was to perform at the festival.
"I guess the party will have to wait."
He slowly made his way towards the stage, effortlessly passing through the massive crowd. The mortals surrounding him seemed to unconsciously move out of his way.
Loni finally reached the stage and watched a group of children stomping on the stage. It looked like fun. Thoughts of what Lynn was going to do for a performance ran through his mind. It had been at least ten thousand years since he had seen her last and so much had changed as far as fashion, pop culture, and technology. Frankly, it was entirely up in the air. He would, and simply could, wait to see what she had in store for the mortal audience.

Lynn was bewildered. Mike had never just ignored her before, not like that. There must be something wrong with him, she thought, trying to work out what had happened. She put the worries off to a different part of her head, and focused on the dances that she would have to preform. She had to dance alone once, and she would hate to mess that one up and get laughed at by mere mortals. She also had to sing, but she wasn't worried about that, because she had been practicing it the night before.
You see, the song was about the 'fictional' Immortals, and she was refusing to mess up the history of her own kind, regardless of how screwed up the mortals made it to fit into the tune of the slow song that she would have to get used to before her performance. She was never picked to be the one who sang the song, but somehow, someone heard her singing somewhere or another, probably about death to the mortals and their wars and how stupid their pitiful lives were, anyways, someone heard her, and told the one who arranged all the singing, who then put Lynn in the spot for the soloist.
