Lypse chuckled as he apologized, "To be honest, a small portion of me certainly did lean towards suspicion. Following a Lady is hardly the most efficient way to make a good impression upon her." She half-informed, half-teased the male before her. As he asked his question she smiled contentedly as she recalled the last report from the 'Lord's' army, which she was in command of until she found a suitable partner to rule over them in her stead. "A simple Lord has quite a bit to manage, my dear sir. Especially one in your tenuous position, surely you have quite a number of duties yourself to attend? I have heard that despite all of your traveling you have yet to find a suitable bride." Her lips pursed slightly and her eyebrows raised at the center corners, showing her concern. "As far as my duties are concerned, however, things appear to be going quite smoothly. My peasants seem to know what they want and, so far, I seem to know how to supply them with it." She was careful to avoid the term slave, to her it's implication of direct subservience had always seemed rather demeaning, and most people knew what she was talking about when she said 'peasant' so there was no issue with her using the term.

Taiyou

"I mean Simple compared to your status, m'lady. And as for my duties, I will be able to run things, at least for a while." This woman was asking questions that Taiyou was able to answer. He would be able to answer most if she kept them simple, or of things he had learned of this lord through a bit of research. "And though I do travel much, I don't do it in search of a bride. To tell you the truth I don't want just anyone to be my bride. No, it has to be that special someone. I have to find my somone just for me if I ever wish to have a bride." This part came straight from Taiyou, he didn't care of status of looks. The person had be be someone he could be with no matter what, and until he found that somone, Taiyou would remain single, a very odd thing to find in this day and age, what with most lords snatching the pretiest girl they could find as their bride.

"What do you mean 'for a while', Lord Azure? If things are so difficult to manage, perhaps you should be keeping your eyes open for a Lady to marry." There was a tone of concern to her voice, as though she worried for the region that the 'Lord' had control over. "Perhaps you should turn to seeking a bride, it appears as though you may soon need one. Besides that point, it is easier to come across one you might feel is best suited for you when you come to encounter a great diversity of people."

Taiyou

"All though I'm sure that would help, I still don't want to marry simply because I need help. I want it to be for the right reasons, I want it to be for love." Taiyou looked a little sad as they began talking about this, but he managed to straighten his face out again and smile a little. "And I'm sure i'll manage, I have advisors to help me with what I don't know. So you don't need to worry about me, I'll be fine." His smile was back to full now and it looked as if nothing had changed. Though he hoped she didn't he was sure that Lady Violet had noticed his expression.

Lypse nodded, noting the momentary change in his features and listening intently to his words. "I understand, though it is rare to find a Lord so intent on appealing to emotional attachment before the other necessities." She smiled at him, "I admire that. Then again, with your house's advisers it must be made much easier to run your property, my House has never before hired any, so I have found myself quite occupied by my place." She paused as she considered what to ask next. "What is your opinion of the new law that has been passed? Do you feel it should be announced to the commoners or merely applied without warning?"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 27, 2008 9:22 pm

Taiyou

"And which law might that be? My advisors tod me that we needed to discuss something i portant before I left here for this ball. My guess is it is what you are talking about." Taiyou had done his homework, he had over heard about a new law in the castle, but it was relatively new. He sort of remembered what it was, but figured Lady Violet would know the fine details. Plus lord Azura was know for not knowing all the laws and regulations, it was something his parents had done and that he pushed to his advisors when he took over.

Lypse looked at Taiyou with surprise on her face, "Lord Azure, have you truly not heard? The announcement was given two weeks ago and is to be enacted in but five more days." She was growing tired of playing this game with the commoner, she had no reason to reveal that she knew what he was, however. He had done no harm; not yet at least. Lypse then looked up at the clock, as the room had already been emptied of most of its occupants. The servants of the house were busying themselves cleaning the various tables and picking up after the many guests. Lypse turned back to her guest, "My apologies, Lord Azure, but I am afraid we will have to continue this conversation some other time." She bowed, smiling, "Once again my apologies. May you have a safe trip home, and I do pray you are able to catch up on your work. Such an important position should not be taken so lightly." With that, she turned and walked down the hall.

The various rooms of the House that were not open to the public were each guarded by highly trained women, women whom Lypse had worked with herself to ensure that they were in perfect fighting order. They were intelligent, perceptive, and took nothing without an ounce of suspicion. Sneaking into the House of Violet was not easy, doing so without being captured or slain was impossible without the aid of very powerful magic. Even then, your presence would have been noted. A surprising number of Lady Violet's guards were well trained in the field of magic, and the residue left by its presence was easily detectable. Lypse silently unlocked and cracked open the door to the room adjacent to hers and, upon seeing that Andrial was comfortably asleep, she smiled and closed the door, locking it again behind her. She headed down the hall to the weapons' room and entered through the magically sealed door that was the only place of entrance to the dark room. Stepping in, she looked around the walls at the vast array of weaponry which she'd collected in her travels and purchased from various merchants that had come by. Selecting a Zweihander and changing into something far more battle-appropriate, she left the room which resealed itself behind her and headed down the halls, her massive sword resting against her back. She passed by many guards who were patrolling the halls on her way, all of which nodded to her in recognition. She reached the stairway at the end of the hall and went up the many steps until she reached a short hallway within the tower. She placed her hand against the door, which opened at her touch alone, and entered the room.
Along the walls of the giant room were anything and everything a true necromancer or sorceress could dream of. She had spent her time outside of the House wisely, her three years of traveling having been spent collecting more than she would ever need. In the center of the room was a ring with intricate decorations within it. It was drawn in the ashes of human bodies, mixed with a paste formed from te exotic plants of the world that contained magical properties. Sitting in the center of the circle, Lypse rose her hands and began to chant. The circle surrounded itself with a violet flame as she called from the depths he who knew her best.

Lypse stepped out of the bath and looked out the window. The sun had risen a while ago and she knew her peasants had been tending to the fields since its rise. Their lives were hard, and she knew it, but her plans were following through and making them easier each time a new machine was developed. Already the development of various new plows and other horse-powered machines for tending the land were improving crop output, and today she would be receiving word through what should be the Lord's soldiers regarding how the peasants were doing. After adorning herself in her elegant dress, Lypse looked into the mirror. Though she'd been up all night again, the bags under her eyes would be easy enough to conceal beneath some make-up. Sighing, she pulled out the various shades and tones that would conceal her body's evidence of how little sleep she'd gotten. Picking up the clothing which she'd had her maids delivered to her, Lady Violet departed from her room and approached that of her guest, Lady Andrial Bizenghaust. In the back of her mind she continually wondered about the news she'd received during the earliest hours of that morning. 'Why had Siraphim lied about his position? What did he want from my parents?' She swallowed down her fears, knowing that there was no way for him to know what she was capable of or what she was up to. Knocking lightly on the door, she opened it. She approached the bed and sat beside the sleeping woman. Lypse blushed, realizing she had no clothes to sleep in, and felt guilty for not having supplied her with any sleeping gowns the previous night. Shaking her lightly, Lypse spoke softly. "Lady Bizenghaust, I brought you some clothing that should compliment the gorgeous shades of your hair and eyes."

Taiyou

"Is it that late already? I hadn't noticed. Well, I believe I have taken up enough of your time. At you leave Lady Violet." Taiyou gave her an elegant bow and then headed out of the garden. He made his way out of the castle. As he made his way into the town he quickly disappeared down an alley way. There re removed the lord's cloth's and was back to his regular dress.
"She saw right through me." Taiyou said to himself, shaking his head a bit. "I need to get better at that, Im much better when I'm not seen." He hid the clothes where he normally kept them, and then headed out into the town. "Time for some real fun."

Gruntting in a most unlady-like manner Andrial woke slowly from a dream of dancing and laughter to see the very subject of such pleasant dreams sitting before her. Speaking in such lyrical tones a string of sylables that, with sleep still slowing her thought process, Andrial could not understand she nodded in Lypse's direction conveying the message that yes she heard her, but no, she didnt hear her.
Rising into a sitting position Andrial smiled the hapless grin of the only slightly awake before stretching out her throughly rested limbs in a very feline manner. Fully unaware of her state of undress Andrial did not notice how her shift had bunched up while she slept, and still oblivious, did not feel the pale silky material rise to exspose her navel as she stretched.

Chuckling as her guest grunted and nodded, showing that she hadn't quite registered Lypse's words. Smiling, Lypse set down Andrial's clothes on her bedside she was about to rise when the Lady rose, her covers falling to her waist and revealing her naked torso. Lypse's cheeks began reddening as she stared momentarily at the figure, noting feelings that she had usually worked to suppress in the presence of other women. She turned her head quickly to the side, feeling her arousal increasing. The woman had already made a good impression, personality-wise, now she had gone beyond that. "Lady Andrial, you may want to properly conceal yourself." She said, trying hard to focus on the wall, but still keeping the form within her peripheral vision. She had to admit, she rather enjoyed the view. Inside her mind she sighed, ever since her father's abuse, she had lost interest in men. Maybe even before that. As far back as Lypse thought, she couldn't remember having found any male attractive. Still looking at the wall, Lypse spoke, "I have a number of duties to attend today, and I was wondering if you might wish to accompany me in carrying them out for the sake of better understanding how manners are taken care of in my house. Do you feel any interest in accompanying me?"

Noticing her rather reveling positon Andrial quickly rearranged her clothes, a slight blush rising to her cheeks.
Coming out of her reprieve of embarassment the Lady Lypse's offer to accompany her for the day registerd in her mind causeing a flag of opportunity to rise in her mind.
Blush still staining her cheeks Andrial quickly rose before hugging Lypse chastly from behind.
"I'd absolutly love to." she whispered, her voice a octive lower and more smoldering than usual.
Holding her position for a moment longer than nessicary Andrial indulged herself with the physical contact the hug had brought her.
Sighing in an almost reluctant manner she deftly made her way back over to the bed. Picking up the previously disgaurded clothing Andrial dressed as quickly as possible.
Walking over to the vanity she began to brush her lush wavey hair complaining to herself of the knots that seemed to have formed during the night.
Humming lightly Andrial grew contemplative as she stole glances of the Lady's reflection.
'I must learn of this kingdoms rules and customs before the days out.' Hissing over a particularly difficult knot Andrial blushed once again as she looked up locking eyes with the Lady Violet. 'But I can't just ask.' Refocusing on her brushing Andrial continued her train of thought to a conclusion. 'I'll have to find a way to lead the conversation. To ask with out asking. I must know if her court would apporve of such a thing. Or if she would for that matter.' Chewing her lip nervously Andrial lost focus on what she was doing and inadvertantly allowed the brush to slip from her elegant fingers.
Hitting the marble vanity top with a sharp bang a blush once more rose to Andrials already flushed cheeks.

Lypse suddenly sat erect, overly aware of the naked form pressing against her back and the feeling of Andrial's... She tried clearing her mind of the thought, but it wouldn't work. 'Is she trying to seduce me?' The thought wasn't disprovable, the length of the hold was longer than was necessary and the fact that the woman was... She was. Lypse felt rather certain of it and, the problem was, she enjoyed it. Lypse had always been perceptive, people were like open books to her and little came as a surprise to the woman. As often as she tried to give others the benefit of the doubt, her suspicions rarely dissipated and allowed her to fully believe their words. Lypse turned her head back to the woman as she brushed her hair, knowing that her complicated life was only going to become more complicated; could she even risk involving this woman in her affairs? If the Lady was as interested in her as she was in the Lady... But how would she know to trust her with the information Lypse would have to reveal? There were too many questions, and not enough certain answers. Brushing the thoughts out of her mind, she focused on the beautiful waves of her guest's hair, she was obviously deep in thought. What about was beyond Lypse, and she couldn't help wondering if it involved her. Lypse noted the slight nervousness as Andrial began chewing on her lip and wondered if she had any questions similar to Lypse's own running through her head. Noting the drop of the brush as soon as their eyes met, Lypse's suspicions did nothing but increase. The affection was returned.
Lypse rose from the bed and walked over to Andrial when she appeared to be done. Resting her hand on the Lady's shoulder, Lypse leaned in, "Are you ready to begin watching me perform my duties, or do you still wish for more time to prepare yourself?" She asked softly.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 29, 2008 8:04 pm

A nervous giggle erupted from Andrials lips before she dabbed a balm on them.
Desiding to leave her tresses down for the day Andrial turned to face Lypse. Rising to her feet she offered her arm to the Lady Violet after indicating that she was ready.
Allowing a calm to slip over her inwardly anxious thoughts Andrial effected the air of compitance she had been taught, while she battled with the excitement and fear that raced through her mind.
She would have made the strictest of commanders proud at her ability to seem calm in the face of, if not danger, then perhaps adventure?
Her life would begin taking drastic turns, and in the blink of an eye she would become someone new and better than she was.
The exhilaration of the unknown shot up her spin, and happiness at the thought of a new battle shown in her eyes.
This new exsperience was going to be difficult to say the least. But as long as she had Lypse by her side. Andrial knew that everything would turn out alright.
"Lead the way, my Lady."

Smiling, Lypse took her companions arm and she rose from the bad to lead her out of the room and down the hall. The pair passed by a number of guards who nodded at them, a sign of respect in the House. Lypse stopped her outside of a particularly large door and turned to her, "The first order of business today is to acquire the news that my House's soldiers have obtained from our peasants. Though I know only of a few other houses who have adopted this idea, I find it important in assuring that the crop yield is high and my subjects remain loyal." She rested her free hand on the door, "You will be in the presence of many soldiers, and they will likely stare at you as they often do at me; our form of propriety is not something which the Lord's Army is taught. Are you sure that you still wish to attend this meeting?"
