Another guard came up to Riley's cage. "Come on, beast. You too. Out. Now!" Riley stared at him for a second before walking out.

"No need to get cranky." Riley muttered. She walked on and suddenly an idea popped in her head. She smirked and jumped on one of the guards. The others jumped on her with the electric gun and shot her. Her body started to convulse and sharp pains were swimming through her body. When it stopped the picked her up and took her to another room.

"Make sure she doesn't have rabies." The guard she had just attacked. The guard held onto his arm in pain. Riley smiled to herself. A scientist sat her down with a clipboard.

"Now, any fever, dizziness, sickness of any kind?" He asked. Riley shook her head and they drew blood before taking her back to the others to the roof. Riley smirked as she set the keys in her pocket.

"Nya, no rabies!" Ferbe waved to the guards. "Sayonara! Aloha! Ciao! Bye-bye! Asta la vista!" she called over her shoulder as she ran after Riley.

Michael shook his head and couldn't help but chuckle "Riley, Riley, Riley" he whispered to himself. They started taking them to the roof.
"when you guys get out they dont try anything funny practically all of the guards are gonna be up there and they wont hesitate to kill you no matter what the scientists say." Michael suddenly then had another idea and hoped riley had the same idea when he heard what the guard said.
Michael Thought in his head."All the Guards..... that means if she decided to she could easily escape. she could get help if she got out...." he kept thinking of the stuff that could happen." but in her form she'll probably be sent to the government or something...." He kept thinking and thinking of the possibility's on how to get out.... so many outcomes so little time to make them... Breeding is coming up and there was only one that he really would like to mate
with but they way everyone is at this moment it was just disgusting let alone the fact everyone is practically under aged.

Riley caught up with Michael so that she was next to him. "So I have to show you a.....move...later when we get back in the cages." She said to him hoping that he would understand that she had the key. "But as for right now, what.....moves.....shall we use?" She asked. Again, she wanted to know how to escape if there was ever a good time it was now.

Mina was still inside her cage; she was literally gripping on to the cage with her tial and hands. "I won't go so don't even bother with me guards! I told the damn scientists that I never want to be let outside again! So leave me alone!" She barks out and glares at them. The guards finally leave her be and lock up her cage. Mina sighs in relief as she lets go; the tears were still running down her cheeks and she quickly wipes her tears away in anger.

In another part of the facility...
Nancy woke from her nap to find a guard undoing the locks on her cage. "Wha... huh?" she asked sleepily.
The guard glanced at her, then went back to the lock. "There've been some changes," he told her. "A breeding program is going to be initiated. In accordance with that, we're letting you out for some fresh air. Enjoy it; it'll probably be the last you get for months," he added under his breath.
Nancy's eyes snapped open. She didn't care about the 'breeding program' part, though it sounded ominous. "Fresh air?" she said, her eyes sparkling. "Really?!"
"Yup." The guard finished undoing her locks and opened the door. "But don't think you can escape."
"Yeah, yeah," she said, barging past him. Two more guards grabbed her arms and she pouted at them, stopped her tracks. The first guard chuckled. "You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?" he taunted.
Nancy put on her best fake smile. "Aw, you caught me!" she said. Yeah, I knew it wouldn't be that easy. But it was worth trying their defenses, just in case.
The guards marched her down a long hallway. Nancy stirred restlessly and one of them put a hand on her gun in warning. At last, they reached the stairs.
Nancy climbed the stairs, her excitement increasing with each step. She hadn't been able to stretch her wings to their fullest since her failed flying test. The albatross DNA she'd recieved meant her wings were huge. Each was at least seven feet wide, much too big for her small cage. She burst out onto the roof in anticipation...
...only to find a giant net stretched over a small section of rooftop.
"You didn't think we were gonna let you out where you could fly away, did ya?" the second guard sneered.
"Not that you could, anyways," the first muttered.
Hot disappointment welled up inside Nancy, but she swallowed it down. "Oh, it's lovely, guys!" she laughed, twirling around in the open space. "Thank you sooo much for bringing me up here."
The minute they get bored, I'm looking for ways to rip the net or unfasten it, she thought. Her insatiable curiosity was what had gotten her into this mess. It was what would get her out of it, too.

And in yet another part...

Simon ate another handful of the nameless brown food and then pushed it away. He didn't even know wht they were feeding him. For all he knew, it could be stuff that would transform him even more. Or bugs. He shuddered. It didn't bear thinking about.
"Oi! You!"
Simon jumped as a guard rattled his cage. The man's piggish face glared in at him.
"Get out of the pool. We've got orders to give you a little fresh air."
Simon shrank back further into his pool in bitterness and fear. Was the man insane? Much as he wanted to get out of here and back to his family, he knew he wouldn't last long outside. All he wanted was to wallow in his pool until the end of his short, miserable life.
You forgot the wallowing in self-pity.
Shut up, brain.
"Up you get!" said the guard, striding into the cage and grabbing Simon's arm. He pulled the boy out the water wearing nothing but the yellow swim trunks he'd been provided.
"Wait!" Simon called out desperately. He was starting to panic. "Are you crazy?! I can't go outside for so long!"
The guard chuckled cruelly. "Didn't say nothing about that," he said. "You're going outside whether you want to or not."
Walking bitterly along the corridor, Simon changed his wish. He'd be willing to end his short, miserable life now if only he could take the guard with him.

((Oh wonderful, another bird/person! ^^))

((Sorry for the long gap, everyone... I've been really poorly recently >.< I'll try to catch up.))

((WARNING: This post is absolutely huge!))

The peacock girl gazed woefully at the other captives as they uttered a few words of comfort and advice, none of which made her feel safe. Eventually, she sighed sadly as the others began to bicker amongst themselves. Her eyes were drawn to the small girl in the middle of it all. She was leaning through the bars of the cage, calling cheerfully to a severely unimpressed guard. The peacock girl shook her head sadly.

She's barely out of the cot... She shouldn't be here...

A sudden thought struck her.

Then again, neither should I!

Sighing morosely, she leant against the metal bars and stared at the others as they were taken out of the room, brought back in, continued to argue...

"My name's Sarah, by the way," she mumbled. No-one was listening.

Suddenly the sound of the metal doors grinding open broke through the chatter.

"There have been some small changes..."

Sarah found herself being pulled out of her cage by a new guard. He looked her up and down curiously.

"Huh! What dy'a know, a little birdie! Wacha doing here among all these beasts, birdie?" He smiled horribly, showing all of his yellow teeth.

"Where are we going?" Sarah asked him as she was pushed in a tight cluster with the others. Now that she was closer to them, her fellow captives' claws seemed much more noticeable. She stepped back cautiously.

"Fresh air, birdie! Nothing like a bit of the outside to get you in the mood!"

The girl they called Riley suddenly pounced on a guard. Other guards swarmed around her, shocking her with an electric gun. Sarah shuddered.

"Yeah, you want to watch out now, birdie," taunted the yellow-teethed guard, grinning at her. "Riley there eats birdies for breakfast!"

Somewhere behind her, cries of protest were sounding from one of the cages.

"C'mon, get a move on!" called one of the guards irritably.

Just as she was shoved through the door, Sarah could make out a small furry shape nestled in the corner of one of the cages. She tried to force her way back to the girl but she was too late. The doors were locked and the rest of them who hadn't managed to stay behind were being made to march up to the roof.

A slim dark haired boy about her own age was whipering things to the group. Sarah had heard the others call him Micheal. She drew closer.

"When you guys get out there, don't try anything funny. Practically all of the guards are gonna be up there and they won't hesitate to kill you no matter what the scientists say."

Sarah felt afraid. She tried to hide herself amongst the others as Riley raced up behind the group and muttered a few words in Micheal's ear. Sarah watched the pair curiously.

Maybe I won't be here very long after all... Maybe they can help us...

Suddenly a guard burst through a side door with a sickly-looking boy in his grasp. A small puddle of murky water was forming where he stood, and he was wearing nothing but a pair of swim trunks whose garish shade of yellow clashed horribly with his ashen skin.

"Got another one here for you, Phil..."

Sarah stared at the boy. He looked so alone, so completely defeated...

What have they done to you?

A terrible stab of pity cut through her when she glimpsed the boy's tail, trailing miserably behind him. She was pretty sure everyone in the group was feeling the same. Swallowing her fear, she tried to smile reassuringly at him as he was led towards the group.

"I'm Sarah," she said quietly, unable to think of anything else to say.

Mina was watching everyone else. The guards had finally left her alone knowing that she wouldn't leave the safety of her cage. One guard sat outside her cage and watched her and the tears the rolled down her cheeks.

"Awe the little fox girl is crying. What should we do about that boys?" He snickers watching as the rest of the animals left. A smirk touched his lips as her an her olive eyes looking about.

Mina hears what he has to say and she death glares at him wishing he would just leave her alone. "Go away you stupid human." She snarls an cracks her hands and her claws come out.

"Fox girl you better not try anything or else I'll drag you outside by your tail and rip it out!" The guards says as he gets up and opens up her cage. "That one scientists of yours may like you and won't want to hurt you anymore but I don't care!" He yells as he grabs her by the tail and starts to drag her out.

"Go away! Stop it!" She cries out as she curls up into a ball as he rags her outside. She hated being outside and didn't ever want to go back outside. She scratches and claws at the guard.

The guard just simply laughs at her attempts even though she was hurting him a great deal he wasn't about to let her go because she was having some kind of hissy fit.

Mina sighs as she's thrown outside she lands on her stomach and hands; her face planted in the dirt. She spits some dirt out of her mouth and she glares at all the guards there. Because she was thrown everyone could see the long jagged scars on the back of her legs from her dress thing rising up wards.

The guard took him through a door into a blaze of sunlight. Simon blinked, trying to cower back into the doorway. The guard pulled him through roughly.
"Got another one for you, Phil!" the fat guard yelled.
"Yeah? Put him with the others," 'Phil' yelled back.
"G'wan, then," Simon's guard said, pushing him towards the knot of half-humans. Simon stumbled and glared, then edged towards the others, stepping delicately in his bare feet. A breeze blew past and Simon shivered. They could have at least given him a shirt.
Most of the other 'altered' kids looked older than him, and dangerous too, with claws and teeth aplenty. Simon hadn't socialized with them much. His aquatic nature meant that the scientists had given him different tests and done different exams on him. He hung back, unsure of what to do.
One of the girls turned towards him. Simon caught the flash of colorful feathers behind her. Wow - she looks like a peacock... Simon thought, then mentally berated himself. That was probably exactly what she was.
She smiled at him with a pitying gaze. "I'm Sarah," she told him.
"Mngh," Simon mumbled. He edged a bit closer and looked up into her face. She looked kind - better than the guards, anyway. "I'm Simon," he told her, then blurted out, "Are you really a peacock?"

Michael Looked towards Riley." Just wait until we get out side. or back in are cages till we explain our situation..." He whispered.
They arrived outside a Net Over Head and the roof walls elevated to provent jumping out, getting out, and the fact that it allows you to stand up straight because the net is being held by the walls....
Michael Inhaled Deeply "ahhhh." he couldn't help but Squint his eyes... The only light he saw was the light of the prison he was in...
Michael Looked around at all the guards... Most Had Actual Weapons and not anything like Tazers or night sticks.... Michael look around no shade whats so ever... Michael walked over to a spot where no guards were around... (one of the corners) and sat down.
He Signaled Riley To come over.

Beth had been curled up at the back of her cage sleeping. She was so used to sleeping through her parents' fights and the noise of the streets, so the noise of Riley and their fellow experiments was nothing for her. She didn't wake up till she heard her own door being opened.

"Come on, you! You're to go outside with the others for some fresh air."

Blinking up at the guard for a moment, Beth calmly stood and stretched. "Outside, huh? Well, that's a switch." Walking calmly to the front of the cage, she motioned the guard on. "Lead the way, Jack." She knew his name wasn't Jack. She wasn't sure there was a Jack here. But she had taken to calling all the guards that. It was her shortened form of jackass, which was who she felt about all of them

When she got up to the roof with the others, she looked around. "Huh, new kid. Peacock. That's different." The girl seemed pretty shook up, so she decided to go say hi. Walking over to her she smiled. "Hey there, pretty birdy. Welcome to the zoo. Name's Elisabeth, but you can call me Beth, or whatever, really. I know this place can get a little rough, and some of the others can seem pretty scary; that Riley's a piece of work, for sure. But as long as you aren't a guard or a scientist, she's mostly harmless. If you need any help, or just someone to talk to, you can always find me, k?"

The second they got on the roof, Riley had to shade her eyes. She couldn't remember the last time she was out in the sun. It was almost breath taking. The wind began to gently blow. If she didn't pay attention to the guards, it was almost heaven. Then she was brought back down to earth and remembered the task at hand. She watched Michael head to a corner and signaled for Riley to come over. One of the guards laughed and leaned over to another one.

"Looks like he found a breeding partner." Riley growled as she walked past them and stood next to Michael.

"Alright whatever the plan is we have to make it quick." Riley said watching the guards. Again, they were laughing at her. She tried with every fiber of her being not to attach any of them. She waited for the plan and was willing to do anything just to get everyone out of there.

PostPosted: Wed May 28, 2008 5:48 pm

Nancy blinked. The others had come out onto the roof too! They were in a courtyard below her. Only the net and the drop separated them. To her right was a sheer wall; to her left was a waist-high wall that bordered the multi-story drop. But there they were, right in front of her!
"Hee~eey!" Nancy yelled enthusiastically, pressing her face right up against the net. She waved her arms and flapped her wings. She knew she must look crazy, but she didn't care. "Up hee~eere!"
"What the hell-"
One of the guards started forward, taking out his nightstick. The female guard grabbed his arm. "Tom, it's not worth it. She can't escape. Just let her pretend."
Tom subsided. "Alright, fine. Just got me nervous, that's all," he said, keeping a wary eye on Nancy.
The taller guard snorted. "What, scared of the little bird-girl? You afraid of the dark, too?"
"Shut the hell up, you-"
Nancy tuned out the sounds of their arguing and focused on the scene below. There was Michael, and Riley with him; Ferbe was annoying the guards again; Simon and Beth were talking to-
Nancy pressed herself even closer to the net in excitement. Was that another bird-girl?! Finally, someone who could understand having wings!
The door opened and Mina was thrown into the courtyard unceremoniously. Nancy gasped when she saw the scars on Mina's legs. So that's what she was always hiding from us...
"Hey, Mina! You okay?" Nancy yelled down.

Beth looked up, squinting her eyes, when she heard someone from above yell. Smiling, she gave a little wave. "Hey, Nanc. Just hanging around I see," she joked.

She turned and looked as she heard a struggle from the door they had just come through. It was Mina. Usually the fox-girl was one of the calm ones, but she seemed pretty upset.

Beth couldn't help but see the nasty scars on the backs of Mina's legs, but she was polite enough to pretend she hadn't. Giving a fast glance to the peacock girl, she walked toward Mina. She bared her teeth at the guards. "Back off if you value your health!" She reached down to help Mina up. "Come on, Chicka. You'll be alright. Don't give them the satisfaction."
