oh, I have some more questions (sorry to keep bugging you >.<):
First of all, when you say how old you are, do you use masculine or feminine numbers? Or do girls use feminine numbers and guys masculine ones?
And also, how do you write the slangy/improper "meifa ata/me'eifo at" ? Don't worry about nikkud by the way, I just need the basic letters xp
Thanks again for your time! 3nodding

Both males and females would use the feminine numbers. Good thought though, I've never thought about it myself. מאיפה אתה? מאיפה את? Notice, there's an upper dot there on the פ. It's pronounced "me'eifo". smile

I can't seem to figure out how to add the dots and "accents"... neutral Jesus Christ. eek You were close, only you used final כ instead of ר. It should be: !אני מדבר ערבית ועברית גם, מסתבר.י For dots and accents, use Caps Lock, click on Shift and then choose one symbol betweeb ~ and |. They're on that row. I can't remember where each one is, to be honest.

"understand"? "speak? sweatdrop I also found the dots... Thank you... THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! xd Also: gonk I just saw it right now! Arabic and Hebrew letters look so much alike! notice: د = ד ب = בּ ر = רIt's like the Hebrew letters are the Arabic letters tilted 90 degrees counter-clockwise... WOW! Then again, the written alphabets have the same Phoenician Origins ^^ (I love/want to build bridges... biggrin )

Yes, the root of that word is ד ב ר, it means "to speak". smile They have the same origins. There are even similarities with English... c כ ك p פ We have this large table at the library that shows the development of the alphabet. You can really see the similarities much clearer. I should find that on the internet or take a picture of it, it's quite incredible.

Interestingly, I think that Arabic normally pronounces the פ as an F or ف I was listening to a Meretz political ad... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ic3yCseNPNo2006 I think is spelled: אל פינ וי שיש I think I completely butchered that one... sweatdrop In arabic it would be: أل فين و ستة That's why Farsi is also known as Persian... biggrin At least, that's what I think... I was able to pick up so many words... it was cool. Educational really... xd This has been bugging me a little though: What's the differance between: נ and ן מ and ם פ and ף צ and ץ It's hard to go too far without knowing the alphabet fully... That's why I gave a lot of focus on the alphabet in the Arabic Crash-Course thread... sweatdrop
