PossessedByDevil Sorano_Kita PossessedByDevil How about Woodstock, then? Ah, I can't believe I forgot it. It shall be added posthaste. Did you know Martin Scorsese helped in the production of it. One of his firsts. Sorry, random info brought from me to you! My uncle was one of the cameramen for it. That's boss...does he have any pictures from it?

Almost Famous is definatly one of my favorite movies. I want to see Pink Floyd The Wall, but I read that you can only buy it in Britain. Eventually, i'll order it online.

The Pizza Guy Sorry Sorano, but I'm going to fix the front page. Ok...I don't care if you are a moderator, I've been really busy. But I created this thread to talk about the movies not to focus on creating some ridiculously long list. I would have eventually gotten around to adding them. Instead of changing my post why don't you light up a conversation of some sort. I think that would be a more productive and less intrusive way to put your "mod" status at work. EDIT: Sorry, I may have been a little harsh there, but that has to be the most annoying thing in the world. I can't see why those two movies being on there right then was so very imperitive to you?! Patience is a virtue...

Yea, I love Almost Famous too. The scene in the bus when they were singing Tiny Dancer was sooo boss. Not to mention I want to write for Rolling Stone when I get out of college. My dad has had The Wall since forever and I'm not sure where he got. Probably in Ohio at some point, but yea, eBay always works.

For a history book report, we had to make a poster for the book as if it were a movie and cast people as the characters. I used Giuseppe Andrews from Detroit Rock City, but nobody knew who he was.
Another movie that uses classic rock: Hign Fidelity. It's about this guy who owns a record store who revisits the girlfriends from his top five breakups. My favorite parts:
*three record store workers watching a girl perform "Baby I Love Your Way" by Peter Frampton* Store owner: You know, I never really liked that song until now. Other workers: Yeah, yeah man, same here. All three: *buy CD*
*going over breakups* Store owner: Number two. Penny Hardwick. Penny was great-looking, and her top five recording artists were Carly Simon, Carole King, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, and Elton John...

I absolutely love Spinal Tap, one of the best independent films of all time, and it makes fun of just about every rock band up to the time it was made at least in a small way, mainly Led-Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Some people think it's the Black Sabbath story actually, and if you know a bit about the real band's history you'll see that.
St. Hubbins: "I think the problem was there was a stonehenge monument on stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf." Derek Smalls: "Well we could just raise it up higher. So they won't trod upon it."
There are so many small things in that movie that just make it great.
I sadly haven't seen all of Wayne's World but I've heard it's great. Beavis and Butthead Do-America is great, and so is School of Rock. I'm a big Kiss fan so Detroit Rock City was pretty cool too. I love just about all of the movies on that list, I only saw the end of The Wall and it freaked me out... of course that whole movie is pretty freaking weird from what I've heard.

The Wall is definitely sold in the U.S. Mainly in Target. I still haven't seen it, but I have heard from many a source that it is an awesome movie.
I got Dazed and COnfused for Christmas, and I STILL have not gotten around to watching. Mainly because I know it's got some major language and drug use in it, and my parents would be pretty TOed.

I picked up The Wall recently at my local Wal-Mart. And what is Dazed And Confused about? Is a Led Zeppelin documentary? And goddamn, I can't believe they had the gall to name it Dazed And Confused; there goes another piece of what respect I had left for that band. Hell, I'm suprised they haven't ********' re-united without Bonham (sp?) yet, for the sake of yet another cash-grab reunion. stressed
