Rosewood nodded. She had laughed, but hadn't there been an apology somewhere? She couldn't remember now, the conversation had angered her too much to remember. Lowering her head, she nodded to Bracken. " I see. As i told you, my quick tongue will get me into trouble, no matter how much i try and keep it under wraps." Blushing, she added, 'That, and the slight temper..." She laughed a little. Slight was an understatement. Though generally she was a very sweet helping rabbit.
Changing topic, she returned to his previous statement. " A warren full of kits would be entertaining for this spring." Hearing Thyme's comment, she turned to look upon another grey buck, though this one much darker in colouring. Listening to his apology she smiled. "It's hard not to listen when i'm so loud." She laughed.

Thyme raised his head slightly to gaze at the doe that had spoken to him. His nose twitched and he blinked slowly, before lowering his head again. "It still wasn't my place, so I am sorry. Though, I admit that the conversation was most interesting. You stood up for yourself rather well" a small smile appeared on his face, but quickly disappeared as he waited anxiously for forgiveness from their Chief. ‘I hope I haven’t upset him’ he thought sadly.

Amused, the rosey doe looked the new buck up and down a little closer. She always was a sucker for a comment, given from anyone. She tried to find his name, but it was as if stuck to the tip of her tongue, not moving. Blinking at him, she smiled. "What's your name?" An innocent enough question.

Thyme raised his head once more, to smile at the rosey doe, "My name is Thyme, tis a shame we should meet under these circumstances" his nose twitched as he caught her scent, it was sweet and made him feel more at ease. Sitting up, he scratched behind his ear "and what would your name be?"
'Hopefully the Chief will see that I have not offended her, and will be less upset with me' he thought 'I just hope I have not offended him'

Smiling sweetly, she replied. "My name is Rosewood." It was a simple enough response to a simple enough question. " And the circumstances arn't so dire that it has ruined our meeting i think. At least i hope. " What had gotten into the girl? Still smiling she wondered why she had an urge to make Thyme more at ease. Spring was a strange thing indeed.

Thyme found himself gazing into her eyes. Rosewood, he should have guessed! Her name was perfect for her and her rosy-brown fur. After a few seconds he realised he'd been staring.
"Oh, forgive me, I didn’t mean to stare"
He looked away, slightly embarrassed.
"Spring plays tricks on the mind..."
He looked back, smiling sheepishly. If rabbits could blush he would have been bright red.
"You're name suits you...and I think you may be right about the circumstances, it's still a very pleasant meeting to be sure"

Bracken chuckled deeply at the two young rabbits infront of him. "Its fine, its fine" he assured Thyme, not at all bothered.
With the two seemingly getting a bit twitterpated, the chief decided to leave them be. "It was good talking to the both of you" he said casually, before idly hoping away from them. Deciding that a little silflay would be good, Bracken moved to a nice patch of dandelions and munched on the crisp leaves and flowers.

Calling to Bracken before he left, she reminded him about wanting to still hear those stories the next time it rained. Then, she turned her attentions back on Thyme.
"I agree, spring is an odd thing. And staring is fine. It's a compliment, unless you have that funny look in your eyes that means you're looking at some stray piece of grass or something on my head. " She laughed a little.
"So how came you by your name? Mine is rather obvious, but does yours have a story to it? " Grinning a little, she hoped it would spur some conversation. Maybe even a story she could re-tell! Mentally bonking herself in the head, she sighed inwardly. Would she never drop this crazy storyteller want? She had as much chance at becoming Owsla, what with two storytellers in their ranks now. There was no need for her.

"Nice talking to you too sir" Thyme said brightly to Bracken as he left.
Turning back to Rosewood he smiled, the thought of her with a piece of grass on her head was amusing, but he didn’t laugh.
"Don’t worry" he assured her "Id tell you if you had something on your head...then again, I might get a chuckle out of it also"
She was really quite a beautiful doe, Thyme had noticed that, and when she asked about his name he hated the idea of disappointing her, but alas he was no storyteller and there wasn’t anything really behind his name, and if there was his mother had never told him. He suspected it was just a word she had liked.
Thyme sighed "Do you know, I don’t believe there is a story behind my name" feeling suddenly boring, he added "...Its a type of herb though" he had a slight smile, but he felt an awkward silence coming on.
"…Your name is beautiful though, much nicer then my own" he added, trying to carry on the conversation "...do you perhaps have any interesting tales to tell?"

Rosewood chuckled. "An herb, to spice up life! " She smiled, easing their conversation. "And i suppose i may have a story or two, but in truth, most of them are meant for the does, since they are the ones most interested in them while they're pregnant and unable to come up into the sun much."
Thinking for a moment, she shook her head. "No, i think my dreams of being a storyteller may just be that, dreams. We have many, and don't particularly need a warren full of daydreamers like me. " She laughed. In her mind though, the truth of it was certain. There were two storytellers, and no need for another. It was too bad Cocklebur ran the Owsla, or she might work up the muscles and speed to go for them. Her role in the warren was clear though. Breeding, and making pleasant company with others. I guess it wouldn't be too awful a life.
" I like the name Thyme." She sniffed. " We could always go try and find a sprig of it somewhere and make sure you always smell of it. " With a grin, she imagined him rubbing in thyme, the sight being extremely laughable.

Thyme tilted his head as she told him of her dreams to be a storyteller "I think you should believe in yourself, and I don't think it really matters how many storytellers we have really, I mean, who doesn't enjoy a good story? The more the merrier I say!" he smiled
He thought about the idea of smelling like his name and wondered why he was actually considering it slightly "If you like we can do that, anything to make you smile" he knew that he sounded foolish, but it was the truth.
