(Posting next attack, can I use the special attack as well? Does it cost anything?)
The creature squirms, thrashing madly again, but like before, it does not die. Frustrated, Van again plants his foot into the blob. Summoning his power once again he channeles more energy through his blade. The black light suddenly flares brilliantly, its glow illuminating the entire clearing. Launching himself into the air, Van comes down on the creature at full speed swinging the blade vertically across the middle of the blob. This time there was a loud thunder clap as the sword made contact with the beast, ionizing air and arcing wild electricity in all directions as the energy exploded. The force of the blow went through the blob, impacting with the rock below. The arising small shock wave tore jagged fissures in the ground as it swept out from the epicenter. Amidst the smoldering damage, Van can be seen standing, light blade in hand. Get up from that you kreaton! He challenges defiantly.
Using a charge from the Energy Sword.

((I'd been thinking of making it a sticky for a while anyway. I'll ask FARGORE about it when I get ahold of him next. Also, Special Attacks cost nothing to use. They are seperate and can be used each round regardless of what you do that round. Enjoy the carnage. mrgreen ))

((Yah, sorry for not being able to edit/post it sooner.))
The energy blade's flux of energy gibbed the black blob in several directions. Goo and tentacles were spread all around you; smoldering from the sheer force. Infront of you, the fissure in the rock bubbled with what was the remains of the main body. It gave a pathetic shriek before exploding, covering everything within eight feet with more vile fluids. Behind you, the man was still unconsious; but still alive.~+~

(Not a problem thanks, that was an exciting monster! Hey, wha-d-ya know I learned something from it!)
Van stood ready for a few moments longer, ignoring the odoriferous goo, the beast had resurrected itself so many times he did not want to take any chances. When the blob did not rise to meet his challenge, Van finally allowed himself to relax.
The fissure from the battle had spread throughout the entire length of the fighting ground. Splatters of the blob monster and various dust and rubble covered everything, from the side of the dojo, all the way to the surrounding trees, which were now dripping with muck. Van stood there in the middle of it all. You could scarcely make out his features for all the mess he was covered in.
He extinguished his blade and turned to the still unmoving form behind him. He tried to use his sleeve to wipe the filth from his eyes, but gave up seeing as how his sleeve was just a dirty as his face. The man's mind was idle. He may have suffered some kind of concussion, Van thought, but he was no doctor. He knelt down beside the form and gently placed two fingers between the wind pipe and hollow of the mans neck. There was a pulse, slightly elevated but strong. Van took note that the unfortunate man had been laying there with his mouth open when the creature had exploded, a little black goo had found its way into the opening. Van turned the mans head and drained as much of it as he could, fortunately his breathing remained constant, the glop had not made its way down his throat. Van holstered his blade hilt then gently, and with surprising ease for someone his size, lifts the man in his arms supporting the neck with his shoulder.
Van carefully makes his way to the waiting Vincent. The young warrior monk, holding the limp unconscious form of Bellamin in his arms, stands before you, both of them dripping with black goo splatter. Your friend is alive. I believe he may require some medical attention, but he should recover fully.

Vincent smiles warmly as you approach. "Oh yes. You will be a fine warrior indeed...Come with me. We can lay him down inside." As you lay Bellamin down Vincent kneels beside him. He gently places his hands on the man's chest and just over his face. His hands glow gently and you can begin to see the color returning to Bellamin's face and limbs. Suddenly he awakens...though how he reacts is yet to be determined.

Van bows at Vincent's invitation to the dojo. He follows the man through the opening, boots tracking muck on the clean stone floor. When Vincent motions at a mat in a clearing, Van silently obliges, laying his charge down with care.
Van watches intently as Vincent applies healing magicks to the unconscious man's form. Van rubs his arms feeling the last of his own burns and bruises, knitting together as the gnosis flowed through his body. What had just happened here felt right. Not the monster in and of itself, he thought nose wrinkling at the lingering stench. But something within him felt right, the gnosis almost seemed to dance within his heart. He knew that it was pleased, the path of the warrior was a difficult one, but this event had reaffirmed his calling and strengthened his resolve. I am doing the right thing, he realized to himself, and I have taken my first step towards fulfillment of my trials. Despite himself, he couldn't keep a small smile from spreading across his mouth at this epiphany. I will earn my second name!

Bellamin woke up with a sudden jolt. Unfortunately, that jolt also dislodged any remaining black goo in his mouth, making a circular little stain upon the dojo floor. He looked around dazed and confuzed.
"Umm, Vincent?" He asked in a whispery voice, not to sure if he just desicrated a temple with that black stuff from his mouth, "Where am I? What is this place? Who is he? Where's pudding?" The look on Bellamin's face seemed to be of obvious concern.
With all the stealth and subtly possible from a tar-black stain on a clean floor, the thing seemed to moved. Abeit, only slightly.

Van was about to introduce himself and suggest that perhaps the man had left his dessert back on his kitchen table. Unfortunately he did not have time to answer any of the odd man's questions before his senses immediately noticed the little blob's movements. Swifter than the eye could follow, Van's hilt was again in his hand and the tip of the light blade was held mere centimeters away from the offending puddle's surface. Van waites to see what the blobs next move would be.
(By the way Bellamin, I saw your werewolf organization, very nice, I hope it gets around to being approved.)

"...Bellamin?" Vincent begins slowly, "Would Pudding happen to be a many tentacled being made of a self-regenerating tar-like substance? More importantly...were you experimenting with dangerous magicks again? Remember what happened last time? (play along with it)" Vincent then sees Van's reacting to the black goo that Bellamin had spat up. "...Van, your enthusiam is noted...but I think it's harmless at this point. You can relax. Not like it could do much in my dojo even if it wanted to anyway." Vincent stands and heads to the edge of the waterfall and looks out at the mass of black tar that now covers half of the open clearing. He shakes his head in disdain at the mess and turns back to the others. "I should get Raven to clean this up...ew."

((I really hoped so. I had all these quest ideas, and item/action/spell ideas, and even the abillity to go up the hieriarchy.))
"That would be Pudding..." He look ashamed of himself. Picking up the piece of Black Pudding, he held it up to his face. "Who's my pudding? You are!" The thing screeched before racing out the door. About a third of the goo piles outside followed it, the rest were dead.
If you were looking outside, you would notice that there seemed to be a several medium sized red octopi slowly crawling its way to the pool. For some reason, they didn't look too natural.
Bellamin smiled his 'inoccence' smile. "Would I get in trouble again if I said I was trying necromancy even though the towns people said never to try and burnt my spellbooks? And would I get in trouble if I said I was trying alchemic formulas on a living being even though the alchemy guild sent a steel automation to wreck my alchemy tools? And would I get in trouble if I said I was trying out creature hybrid transmutation... For the first time?" He took a deep breadth.

(Good luck with that, I hope it happens. If it does do you think your character would become their first new member?)
Van was confused for a moment. He was sure in the english language "pudding" was a thick soft served, after dinner treat. I must have translated it wrong. he thought. But, this language was still very new to him, and Bellamin was definitely referring to the much diminished creature. At Vincent's urgings Van again stifled his blade.
As Van listened to the verbal exchange between his new acquaintances, he got the definite impression that this Bellamin was more than a little careless with his abilities. Certainly, Van did not abide with the practice of necromancy, but he decided that a diplomatic approach would be the best way to confront the situation. Sir, have you considered that perhaps the powers that be, whom are trying to dissuade you from engaging in illegal activities, are doing so because of the risk? Such past times have historically been as perilous to the wielder as much as to those around him or her. Maybe it would be better if you focus your talents in other, more constructive ways? Van offered.
Van felt rather than saw the octopi approaching. Suppressing a sigh, he made his way to the doorway, then turned back to Bellamin. It appears that more of your creations have found their way here. They have proven themselves to be quite hazardous. Can you exercise any degree of control over them? Can you command them to back down?
