http://www.omniglot.com/writing/danish.htm There's a nice resource, more importantly the links at the bottom (They have an online course but it looks like it's just basic, 10-day course). What you should do is immerse yourself in the language, but that's often very difficult to do if you choose a language not widely spoken where you live (I tend to do that. I must be secretly a masochist or something)... My Spanish teacher would make us learn vocabulary and overall, practice, by writing words we wanted to learn and then writing sentences with those words. So try doing that. Try like, keeping a log or something of your days and whatnot, in Danish?

Probably not. Once, in the Artist's forum, somebody had started a thread that was in Danish. I responded to it, although with a translator. Nonetheless some WEIRDO PMed me like.
SUP @ U? U SPIK DANISH? O SO COOL OLOLOL.
It was daunting.
XD That and, well. I can speak Spanish at the Highschool, Japanese in Austin, snatch up some who speak German in Fredricksburg and Johnson City, and if you know where to go there are also Czechs...But I haven't seen any Danish people, and I'm pretty content with my German so...Dont' think I will.

chanda-pan hello everyone, I'm very interested in learning Danish(Because I am supposed to be going on a student exchange with my cousing i a few years*if she still wants to, that is* whee ) and, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on learning it? This is the first second language I'm actually getting serious about learning.(wow that sentance was awkward to write sweatdrop ) If anyone had tips or simple words/pronounciations I would be very grateful! Thank you heart
But get a dictionary and some kids books and you'll be on your way.

I really dont like this place, plus I feel I speak english better than danish, my boyfriend is from England and I just really dont care for this place. Never did.
When I think Denmark, I immidiately go "Bullies, cold, boredom, hate, mental breakdowns, dad". Those are all bad things.

I want to get out of the u.s.a sad I hate america. I want to move to new zealand, or swedland..well the place where you talk swedish...'sighs'. Anywhere away from my family...but i gotta be careful how i say it to them, cause they are very sensitive...and we're all mental...lol, i'm the worst, but...all for good reasons...all for good reasons...i am dying to learn so many languages, but right now i am in desperate need of learning danish...
