((Sorry for the delay, I'm trying to make dinner and rp at the same time))
Tala sat down and crossed her legs, old proper habits surfacing. When Raphael sat, he held his hands out on the table, palms up.
"Now, what is it that you want to know?"
"Whatever you can tell us, Raphael." Tala said, eagerly. The man nodded and closed his eyes. Tala put her palm on top of his, in order to get a more accurate reading and motioned for Valkyrie to do the same. It was easier to look for something when you had something to go on, similar to a bloodhound catching a scent.
Raphael stiffened as his power took hold and the crystal ball began to flicker, random images appearing in its depths.
"Death has touched you, Valkyrie Faldain," he said in a detached voice. "Your kin has killed your husband to be and has indeed killed your father, as you feared. You harbor hate within your heart. Emery. Emery."
Valkyrie's brother's face appeared briefly in the ball and then vanished in the whirl of pictures.
"You carry a great sadness, Tala Minami, as well as your hate for Emery Faldain." Tala stared gravely at the man, knowing that what she had been hiding would now be out in the open.
"You have fallen in love with the Duke Kiro Makati, of the Water Kingdom." He said, taking a shuddering breath. "You despair because you think it was never meant to be. The Fire Goddess sees otherwise. In return for taking your father, she gives you a chance for happiness. The Water Knight loves you in return, though he has not realized it yet. Beware; you must go to him but in disguise. If you are found, you may be killed."
Eyes still closed, he now looked confused. "Another will come to love you. He is dangerous to you and the Knight; he will betray you both."
Tala looked surprised as Cairo's picture flashed across the crystal. A split second later, it was gone.
"You both have the blood of Ancient Nobles in your veins; your powers are strong. Fire is your friend, but another Fire elementist seeks to destroy your homeland and alas, he has succeeded. He has a golem and minions who do his bidding."
And then his muscles relaxed and opened his eyes. He smiled wearily. "I'm sorry, fuegita, but there is nothing more."

((Heh. No worries. I was doing that earlier.))
Valkyrie followed Tala's example, placing her palm over Raphael's. She was a bit surprised to have her fortune told first, but she listened intently, the rage and hate resurfacing as her worst fears were confirmed.
I swear, by the Fire Goddess, and any others that are listening, that I will kill you, Emery. I will avenge our father, and Eien, too. Your days are numbered.
She listened to Tala's reading, smothering a gasp as the man revealed her love for Kiro. She was surprised to see Cairo's face there as well; she had thought he was an okay person, but apparently that had been a misjudgment on her part.
And then the telling was over, all knowledge revealed. Valkyrie blinked, and started breathing again, unaware that she had stopped. She stared off into space, deep in thought.

((I'm so full that it isn't even funny))
Tala smiled at Raphael and then at Valkyrie. Now she knew. It was nice to not have to hide it anymore. It was even better still to know that Kiro did indeed love her. He just didn't know it. Not yet.
But what he had revealed about Cairo disturbed her. She didn't want to put Kiro's life in danger. She would avoid him at all cost; Cairo wouldn't betray his own element if she stayed far away from him.
"Thank you Raphael, you did wonderfully. I am fully indebted to you." Tala tried to put a generous amount of gold onto the table but he refused her.
"You should know better than that, Tala. I wouldn't take money from mi mejor amigo's daughter. It was a blessing, from me to you." Raphael smiled at her again. "You must visit me again sometime. For old time's sake. But for now, I need to rest. Please, stay if you like. But I am old, and my magic wears at my bones."
Tala nodded. She understood. She got up and kissed him on the cheek and curtsied to him, though she felt under dressed wearing her riding pants and tunic. "Thank you again."

Valkyrie stood up, pulling out a money pouch of her own, which she set before him. "I am not your best friend's daughter, so I therefore insist you take payment from me."
She bowed fully before him, more the bow given to a king than to a fortune teller.
"And I thank you, for all that you have told me. With your help, I no longer have any doubts."

Shina had been listening to the reading from where she stood outside. Nobility has once again found a place to annoy me. She watched the pictures of Kiro, Cairo, and low and behold the old mans warnings didn't even surprise her. Should I continue my journey? Leave this awful town? She ground her teeth and dug her finger nails into her palm. If Tala plans on traveling to water she will surely be killed if any had any impression of her element. She rolled her eyes at the irratating thought. Oscurità Corallo has holy ground around it, though many don't awknowledge it... She walked up behind Valkyrie and whispered softly. "I can get you both into water if you so agree."

Raphael took the gold with a twinkle in his eye. Tala knew that he would come up with a way to give it back to Valkyrie without her knowing.
Tala could very faintly hear what the woman was saying to Valkyrie, so she opened their connection so that she could hear what she was saying just as if she were standing right there. She did so while still conversing with Raphael.
"A Water elementist, eh bonita? It's very dangerous. Your father would have a fit," he said, chuckling fondly.

Valkyrie jumped slightly, her fingers automatically reaching for her sword. She stopped herself just in time, and relaxed, sensing that this person meant them no harm.
She turned to the girl behind her, her eyes looking her up and down appraisingly. "That depends on your terms, of course. I assume you aren't offering out of the goodness of your heart."

The stone studded road abroad with, foot buckles, dresses, cleaves, and boots strut worryingly across the ground caught the suns shine as evening was slowly breaking. Withered stone, lay a-mess, observing road, from a recent castle calamity.
Upon the streets, as'the clouds would tell, an odd gathering of fortune, an intortion of being's clamored here and there. But there was one in particular cress of events that murdered 'so to speak' fabric of chance itself. This accounted event left water to still, and memory placed lost. As the sun was at it's shift of leaving, a tattered voice obscured thee' air.

Tala nodded at him, smiling too. She continued to listen in to what Valkyrie and the woman- who she remembered as having a fowl temper at the Temples- were discussing. A way to get into Water Nation? She didn't think that Shina would do something like that for her. What did she have to gain from them?
"I know. But Father would want me to be happy and would eventually cave in. Besides, Kiro is a very good man. Very dedicated and brave. Admirable traits in a man and in a Duke."
Raphael nodded, but looked at her with concern. "You must be sure of what you're doing, mija. If you go into Water's territory, and are caught, you might not come back out. Your father's ghost would never leave me in peace if anything happened to you."

"My terms are simple, and easy. They are for your own safeft, for I do not fear for my own..." Shina felt a change in the atmosphere coming from down the road. "Dress as apothicaries, healers, those who leave their element to serve and protect all. Their garb consists of protective robes. We shall go claiming we seek holy ground, to fullfill a life long quest or pilgramage. You two must refrain from using fire as soon as the trip starts, not even to light a candle or mark bath water warm. If you do these things, you shall be safe and I can take you..."

"If you're going to the temple, it's not advised. The war between two shall surely start soon" Lifted a lightened voice through the air.

Shine narrowed her eyes at the voice. "Who and what would you be?" She placed a hand to her temple, praying that this wasn't going to be another headache she was asking for.

"Who, is merely the form of the function, "what" as you also asked. And "what" I am is man in a mask. "uh!"I can assure I mean you no harm. I only prize on what I know; and in this case you'll be at best to heed my warning.. I do have to laugh however in re-marking the paradox of asking a masked man "who" he is. Your headache is at verge, is it not?

Valkyrie mulled over the terms as her eyes flickered across the room, searching for the person who had spoken. The terms were acceptable to her, as she hardly used her element, anyway. However, it was Tala's decision to make, since the journey was for her.
'Are the terms acceptable to you as well, Tala?'
Without waiting for an answer, Valkyrie placed one hand on her sword, and spoke an answer to the person.
"Who, and for that mattter, what you are hardly concerns me. As for your advice, I no longer serve the nation of my origin, so the war starting between the two does not concern me either, except that I wish to stop it. And in order to do that, I'll have to travel to the water nation. I thank you for your concern, but I shall not be taking your advice."

With a 'chuckle' under the young wizards breathe, he pressed out, "Are you as cunning as the boots you wear?; that would place you farther from safety then one could conceive". At this, the lonely wizard spun cloak and all in defacing the argument, walked half far away; 'then exclaimed, " if it not for your kings warning you'ad already be dead". Closed eye's shot across the room, as the young wizrd came to an away motion; with that creek of the door, one-less occupied the setting.
