*Pushes the door open, entering the office without any hesitation. His movements somewhat stiff because of the lingering burns from the silver they were about to discuss.*
'llo, Headmaster.
*Greets before carefully sitting himself down in the chair across from Severus. Green eyes rather brilliant from the glint the fireplace gave them, relaxed yet rather on edge.
He had had a hard week.*

*Lowers his hands, pausing a moment before crossing his arms over his chest, watching Clay with narrowed eyes* Talk.

*Smiles albeit tiredly*
Thought I handled this week pretty well enough. I'm alright, Headmaster. Not gonna snap...
*Pushes his bangs back out of his face, settling back in the chair*
I heard some of the Slytherin girls whispering in the halls about how I might lose it because of what happened to James and Albus. Think they've got bets set on it?

Most likely. *Purses his lips briefly but appears less tense as he listens to the boy*
I have suspended Mulciber and Goyle for the remainder of the month.

Not really sure what that's going to do other than give them more free time to work on rallying...
*Scowls*
It'll just spur 'em on more. Give them a "justified" reason to do it again other than their piss poor Quidditch playing.
Now the halfbreed got them suspended.

As opposed to allowing them to parade through the castle gloating over their ability to injure fellow students without repercussion. They would find justification with or without punishment; at least this assures that both Dedra Mulciber and Valencia Goyle are aware of the issue, and its pressing need for rectifying.
*Pauses, tapping his fingertips together thoughtfully*
What would your method of handling the issue be?

*Rolls his eyes* Yeah, because that's really going to get them in parent mode. Maybe Val, but not Professor Mulciber..
*Shakes his head*
You can't beat them. You keep them in school they're safe to do what they want because if you kick them out then they can do even more damage and only the Ministry can try to handle it.
Seen how well that's going lately.

There are.. measures I'm intending to take to handle the "D3er" issue on school grounds. As it is a "damned if you do, damned if you do not" situation, I'd prefer the damnation to be for attempting to corral the issue.
I.. thought I'd inform you that I am doing something, as your mother seems *pauses, then continues delicately* quite upset with my lack of success in the area.
I would sooner resign than allow some paper copy of the Death Eaters make headway in this school.

*Smiles* Okay, so she wanted to punch you in the d-...she hated your guts when she was on the phone, but she's calmed down since then.
You know how Mum gets... And all this is starting to make her on edge.. First the D3er s**t, now this Rowle bloke.... It's like it's all going to hell again and no one wants to see it.

Indeed.
*Glances at the fireplace, his expression somber* War tends to place people in a lax state following its end; particularly for those who suffered, post-war lifestyles are fraught with denial that anything of great consequence can happen again. As though generations are due for only one terrible event each.

*Glances over at the fireplace, watching it for a moment.*
Maybe something will happen so it gets caught off before anything serious can happen... Stop if before it can escalate into another attack....'nother war.
*Smiles again, rubbing at his cheek lightly*
Dunno, maybe s'just being over paranoid of a bunch of nasty little things that are happening. Might just be bad luck, all of this.

Bad luck. *Smirks without humor* Fudge once called the events obviously correlating over the Dark Lord's obvious return the work of "backporch terrorists" and "a fair bit of bad luck."
Irregardless.. I believe dinner is being served; I'd rather not deny you a meal, as your mother would probably attack me.

*Smirks* Better watch what you say, she's got hearing almost as good as Gramma Molly. *Gets up, using the chair to his advantage to not put too much stress on himself.*
Oh, I wanted to apologize for last week, Headmaster.
