X had a bag on her shoulder as she walked to the note board. she looked at Alphonse and said "hi" she smiled slightly as she spoke.

Alphonse stood leaned against the wall, whisteling and had been doing that for about an hour. Frankly, he was getting tired of it. And also, he was out of melodies. Or rather, he had gotten tired of the one. Then suddenly he saw X walking down the street, packed bags and all. He smiled and closed his eyes and put his hand behind his head. He was more relaxed now that he knew that someone was with him, especially after knowing his real goal. "Hi" she said. He waited to answer for a few seconds, still closed eyes. He took a deep refreshing breath. "You came. Good."
He opened his eyes pushed away from the wall, turning around to face her. "Listen, I have a feeling that some more people will come along, wanting to sign up today. Let's hang around for a while. If you've got something to do. Some more stuff to pack or people to say goodbye too, be sure to do it now. I'll be waiting in the tavern."
He walks away toward the tavern but stups just before opening the door. "Thanks." he says and goes in.
(Can't play more today. Tonight is OUT-night. Going to the pub. Actually, I've already had a couple of beers. Hope it doesn't show.
ANYWAYS!
If you've got any friends you could invite, please do-o. It'd be great to have some more players aboard. Or perhaps create a second character, I don't know. The thing is that we can't accept members untill we reach the next island. That'd be wierd <.<
IF anyone else is reading this, just join. I'm NOT desperate. I'm just... Ok, I'm desperate! Or drunk, I dunno' : D)

"you're welcome" X said as she turned around and started to look around the shops, counting the money she had with her. she had enough for a few supplies and she started to look around for some of the cheapest stuff she could find that wasn't dirt or rotten.

Alphonse was drumming with his fingers on the table. Since he had decided to be sober this time, the waiting was more noticeable this time. His mood was dropping. He turned around to his bartender friend, who he had actually gotten kind of close too, in the few days that he had spent in the town. It was hard for Alphonse to say, but he thought that the bartender have had some kind of connection to pirates in his past. It was fairly obvious since he was so relaxed with the subject and supported Alphonse in his search. Alphonse was deeply greatful, even if it didn't show. "Geez, what's wrong with this town? Only one free soul. Doesn't it make you lose hope in mankind?" Alphonse mumbled. The bartender rolled his eyes and didn't speak for a few seconds. Eventually he answered "You're pretty full of yourself, you know." Alphonse looked up at him with a raised eyebrow. "I could imagine... living like that. But there's no way I'd set my foot on a ship with a dreamer like you in command."
Their eyes met and a tension spread troughout the whole room. There was a long moment of silence but then suddenly they began laughing. Alphonse hit his forhead on the bardisk. "This wasn't as easy as I had thought it would be." he sighed. "Oh well... As soon as that run-away princess comes back, I'll be on my way. I can tell there's no one left in this town."

X had a few different kinds of fruit in her bag, along with some hard candy she had managed to afford. she was now heading back to the bar. she walked in and nodded to the bar tender. she then walked over to Alphonse and said "i'm ready to go. any new comers yet?"

Jaimie walked through the empty streets, eyes shooting from left to right. His search for open pirate crews had been unsuccessful...until he noticed the banner upon the wall.
He smirked, looked around, and spotted who he guessed to be the captain.
"That your sign?" Jaimie asked. "I'm interested."

X looked over at James. she glanced from him to Alphonse and then back. she then sat down at the table on the left of Alphonse and waited.

Alphonse spun around on the his barstool so that he faced X. He slowly began to shake his head and was just about to answer her question. "Nn..." but then he got interupted by Jaimie, who obviously wanted to join. His shaking turned into nodding and the n-word he had begun to pronounce turned into a "nnNYeesmaybe?"
He left his chair and took couple of slow steps towards the possible recruit, walking past X. He observed the man. "Yes. That is my sign." he said and then raised his voice to shout at the bartender. "Barkeep, give this man a drink. It's on me." and it didn't take long before the bartender responded "On you? You haven't paid for one single drink, you bum!"
You could see Alphonse's reaction to the comeback as he tensed up for a second, wishing he could hit the bartender for ruining his scene. But he shook it off and continued. "Tell me about yourself."

X looked at the bartender and said "i'll by his drink for him "she reached for the few coins she had in her bag that was slung at her side. she put the coins on the counter and said "give the new guy his drink"

"Much obliged," Jaimie thanked the two for their efforts. his gaze fixed on Alphonse. "Not much to speak of concerning my family. Nothing I want to tell." He paused and looked at the nearly clear sky. "I'm a mechanic; fix airships, build airships, you name it. Might I join?"

Mechanic, huh? Maybe stopping in this dunghole wasn't such a bad idea after all. Almost sounding like he had paid no attention at all to what Jaimie actually had said, Alphonse responded "How soon can you leave?"

"Now," Jaimie replied, an emotionless look on his face. He wondered if the man would believe him. But, he was ready; after leaving home, he had nothing to pack but his tools in his coat and the guns in his holsters. "When do you leave?"

After having sounded like a stiff during the entire conversation, Alphonse suddenly broke out in a smile as he said "Now. Welcome aboard, mechanic. Adventure awaits you." He turned around and looked at X. "You all ready to leave, right?"

"yep!" X said. she looked at Jamie and said "hi. i'm the navigator. you, like our captain here, can call me X. nothing more nothing less. what would you wish to be called?" she had a small grin on as she spoke
