People can't just throw around nonsense 'knowledge' around here. It actually is considered Canadian English by the rest of the world, hence being able to pick English(Canadian) on software s**t.
Archaic: refers to things very, very old and outdated
And if you're going to try and throw big words out, use the right words. It's obviously not very old and outdated, because it's still largely in use. If we were talking like Shakespeare, then I'd say "Hey, Kroniks wrong. Burn on him and Canada, we're archaic". But no. It's just the superior Canadian way of spelling, that's all.
I'll assume all of your American English classes are faulty too.

A lot less contradictions, and the syntax and phonetics make a lot more sense. And something can still be in use and still be Archaic, look at the Gaelic language for instance.

I love grammar and spelling battles, but I'm going to stay out of this one. Americans (or United States residents, seeing as Americans do refer to the countries in the American continents) do tend to be lazy in spelling and grammar though...
EDIT: And I am from the United States myself, just in case anyone thought I was being biased.
