well this is the one that nicked me the most.

Nodachi
Sometimes bigger is better, the Nodachi is even larger then a Katana. There are several synonyms for it, like Odachi, Daikatana and Zanbato. Equalling 3 shaku at least, the sword can sometimes even become 6 or more shaku (2 meters).
Damage: 10 to 16 + Strength Modifier
Requirements: 40 Ranks of Sword, Endurance 45
Modifier: Endurance
Blacksmith DC: 45

first a shaku is a little shy of 12" it is more like 11.9" . but how a shaku is actually measured is the space between the knotches on a piece of bamboo.

second) yes the nodachi is larger then the katana but it is not the name of of the anti-cavalry class. and the weapons that were listed are all different. the name of the super size me tsurugi's and and tachi's are daito.
the daito had a straight blade version and a curved blade like all the sized blade classes had. the stright and cured blades were made from the temper and amount of work put into each blade. that is why real japanese ninjas had ninjato's instead of shoto's because the shoto was more expensive and better tempered. sorry off subject a little. the straight "ninjato" version was the nodaichi and the curved "shoto" version is odachi. and these two blades had a blade length of 5-9 shaku.

three) the daikatana is a class of blade not one blade. the straight poor tempered blade is called uchigatana. and the well tempered blade is called okatana. this class has a 4 shaku blade length. these swords were made longer then the katana class to get a length advantage with out a major weight problem.

four) the zanbato is a unique weapon and classes it self on it own. these anti-cavalry weapons are not like the normal "buster" blades. in the fact that they were made to cut threw the horse and rider and keep going. even the nodaci's were used more like pikes to the contrary of sephiroth.
zanbato's had a 4-5 shaku handle with a counter weight and a 4-5 shaku blade that is 1-2 shaku wide. see normal anti cavalry swords are designed to break the legs of the horse or kill the the guy off the horse.
and i bet you guyz are going to get nicked at my spelling.

so then... you want me to umm... b***h and complain about your weapons. i have not read much into the system but i know my old melee weapons. and there are some weapons that are very out of place.

holy snot that is sweet, the things i suck at you are good at. well i know a bit about scythes like you have a scythe, double scythe, and picks. and you have the bo staff and the jo staff. oh yeah, there are spears.

well i cann't help now but tomarrow when i get the dsl box i can. (i am at the library) but some basics real quick most size classes of japanese blade have to catagories catagory one we will call "ninjato" for all in tensive perposes. and the other "shoto". the ninjato class has a step missing from all tempering process making them straight hard but britle blades. the shoto class has that extra step in the forging of the blade witch actually puts the curve and and extra resistence in the blade. to make the swords less expencive the black smith did not put a handgaurd on the blade. so you could that a odachi with out a handgaurd. and now i am getting booted off this computer so i must say adu
