"grand!" X said, standing back up from where she had fallen to avoid the knives. she walked over to the tree and pulled one of them out. she poked it with her finger and it immediately drew blood. "well she's got weaponry, i'll give her that much"

Alexa snapped her laptop shut, and smiled widely. She probably hadn't been this happy in...a long time. She was finally about to meet the legendary flock, and help them in all their endeavors...at least, to the best of her ability.
Standing up, she followed the directions that had been in Fang's e-mail, but a little more hesitantly. Would she really be able to do all that much? She had been a failure, branded totally useless by the School. Her literally three-inch wings were something to be laughed at. What skills would she have to bring these great benefactors, who had surpassed her in the most important skill of all?
Well, she'd just have to find out. Alexa took a deep breath and strode onward. Finally she saw a group of people. The sight made her gasp...it had been a long time since she'd seen another hybrid. But these people were all obviously hybrids.
Two of them had beautiful sets of wings...
No, pay attention, now. "Excuse me," she said shyly, all of the sudden mortified at how silly she must look, randomly dropping in on them. It had been forever since she'd last talked to another person...in person.
"Excuse me," she repeated, "I was told...to find you all..." Alexa finally gave up, and hoped they'd understand what she meant to say.
((Sorry about that, my opening posts are always really long, lol. Have you all read the third book yet? razz ))

Shade was still laughing. "Trust me...she is no assassian!" He bent over. "She FAILED THE TEST!" he shouted. He straightened up and looked up at Alexa. He looked confused and his phone vibrated. "Son of a...I'm going to kill Fang." he muttered. "Well hello Alexa." he said with a smile. "Now if you would all follow me I'll lead you to the flock." he looked around and felt something. He smirked.

X looked at Alexa and said "hi" and then she spoke no more. she wasn't usually talkative with other people.

((Just wanted to make sure. Lol. Even though it did kinda come out forever ago razz ))
Alexa wasn't surprised that he knew her name. It only made sense. He had been sent down her to fetch her, right? And of course he should know her name before doing so.
She ran her fingers through the back of her sloppy, unkempt hair awkwardly and stepped closer, ready to follow obediently.

Liam chuckled."Then she's no threat." He glanced at Alexa, who just recently came by."Yo." Was al he can say, he was pretty distracted with putting his weapons back in their respected slots.
Jeez, Erasers are a big goof and new flock members coming in. Not like anything was happening soon."So...shall we get going?" He said, starting to pick at his ears that were on his head. They seem to be twitching for no reason and he wanted that to stop apparently.
