Hanabira gingerly looked around the boat, trying to find Tanu. It was no luck though! Even on a small boat, there were still many people and on top of that Hanabira wasn't sure where she could go and where she couldn't go on this small vessel. She was afraid to try and open any closed doors, even those that led below deck. Not sure where else to look, Hanabira sat down on a crate to watch Kiba and Aya train. Kiba was disciplining himself and focusing on his task at hand rather well. Hanabira really wanted to ask Aya about the basic eseijutsu, but she was rather busy with Kiba. In her pack, Hanabira brought out her journal once again. She flipped back through it to try and find her writings on a certain genjutsu she had been investigating. It was an extension to Henge, but utilized certain characteristics of specific personalities. She would have to practice those characteristics alongside Henge to truly master them. Putting her hands together in the correct seal, Hanabira transformed herself into a small child.
She chose the form of a little girl that had come knocking on her door almost a year or two ago. Her hair was somewhat curly blond that looks very neatly brushed and pinned to the side with a pink pearl-like decoration on the silvery pin. The Shiny hair falls down just beyond her shoulder blades now, curling upwards at the ends. Hanabira blushed slightly as she examined her reflection of bright blue eyes and milky white skin in the reflection of a window on the fisherman's boat. It was a rather good replica! Hanabira approached a seaman on the boat, who looked like he may have a soft spot for a doll suck as Hanabira was portraying. Shyly, the girl approached the man, hugging a teddy bear in the process. "Anno... Fisherman-san, is there any candy on this ship?" she asked as cute as can be, trying to make her voice sound sweet and young as she looked at the fisherman with her big blue eyes.

As Kiba came at her, Aya tried to think of the best way to absorb his blow and not leave herself open for a second attack. For a second there, Aya was sure that Kiba was about to hit her with her own sheath, but luckily the girl was quick and had time to react while thinking. Kiba's form was great and she took note of it. The boy had trained under Jintachi, who was the greatest swordsman Shimagakure had seen. Bringing up the short tanto, Aya was able to stop the oncoming attack before it hit her. She made sure to block it with the flat of the blade and not the sharp end. Chopping her own sheath would be back luck for the mission! "Nice job," Aya said with a bright smile. "Ne, ne... Kiba, were you thinking of pursuing any ninjutsu or just sticking with the sword?" Aya asked as she began to return an attack back at Kiba. Her attack was a quick back hand slash to the stomach. Aya kept the bladed end towards her, so that if Kiba missed the block, he wouldn't cut gouged in the stomach.

(LOMG! Hana is powerful! You have skills in the 30's!)
Tanu was hiding at the back of the ship hanging her head over the edge. "Uh..." she groaned while the ship began to rock back and forth. They were still on the shores of Shimagakure and already it was hitting her. She wasn't an agile one and didn't like to flip around and that was because of her weak stomach. The motions of the boat made her extremely nauseous. "Crap..." she said to herself feeling her stomach turn. She hadn't eaten anything this morning and was glad of it. But still, something was rumbling and it was settling.

While hanging over the edge, Hanabira came around to the back of the ship. Tanu tried to hide by crouching behind a crate. The girl was carrying a bento box filled with sweet smelling omelets. "Oh... Fa...." Tanu heaved as she slapped her hand over her mouth. The smell with the motion was not good. She didn't chuck up anything, but she definitely felt like she was gonna. Staying crouched behind the crate, Tanu grabbed the railing of the boat and hung over the edge, thinking that the cool water might calm her nerves. The wind brought up a small mist from the sea and hit Tanu's face. For a moment, it was nice and her stomach relaxed.

[I made a roll in the shoreline post that succeded before I read in this thread. I'll make it a block for Aya's attack.]
Having had his strike blocked by Aya, Kiba quickly moved to block her counter attack. It was quite easy for him to knock her hand away and evade harm. The Raiken swordsman had carefully observed Aya's movements. They were indeed quite fast and she definitely knew how to use her blade... And yet, there was a something about her sword handling that lacked the pollish of a veteran sword-wielder. Remembering his own training with the sword Kiba had learned that it is easy to know how to execute a certain attack or block a certain strike from an opponent, but pure technical skill was not enough. No, what Aya lacked was not in technique, but in strategy. She had blocked Kiba's attack well enough, but she did not block it in such a way so that it would set her up for her counter attack. Of course Kiba knew that this might merely be her taking it easy on the young genin and that even after years of training his own sword-play still left much to be desired, but he would chip in his two cents anyway. "Aya-san" he said quickly as he was knocking her hand away "Make sure to compliment your excellent sword technique with sound sword strategy." He hardly felt that he had time to say much more than this as he was now taking advantage of the opening he had just created and making a short swing at Aya's side that was now exposed by the arm Kiba had just blocked away. Still, with her speed he was not at all certain that his strike would land. "As for ninjutsu, I do look forward to learning it and dream of even combining it with my sword-play!"

Strategy. Aya was a master of strategy when it came to battles, but Kiba made an excellent point. She really didn't think of any strategy when fighting with a sword. It was slash, block, stab, block and nothing more. Close quarters combat was always Aya's weakness. Not only was she lacking skill and technique in every type of weapon and hand to hand combat, but also strategic planning. Her type of strategy required stealth and hidden surprises. She never really implemented those strategies into her swordplay or taijutsu. "You're right!" Aya said with a smile as Kiba came at her with the sheath. 'Stealth...' Aya thought to herself as she tried to brainstorm a strategic move that would set her up for an immediate attack after Kiba came at her. And she did just that. "Move fast," Aya said as she used her blade to direct Kiba's attack in a circular direction away from her body. Her blade licked all sides of the sheath as she tried to get Kiba's arm caught up and a little out of control, so that she could come down with a shop to his extended arm. Aya kept the blade to the sky, so that the downward chop would be done by the dull side of the blade.

It wasn't until a particularly rough wave decided to introduce Kazuma's head to the crates he was propped against that the boy woke. With a groan and a hand brought up to rub his head he took in the sights. " What the hell? A ship?" He muttered in confusion. Standing up to get a better look around he yelped when his Katana fell off his lap and smacked him in the foot. Apparently whoever had dragged him here had thought to bring his weapon too. It didn't take Kazuma long to realize he hadnt' been kidnapped or rather he had been kidnapped by people he knew. With all the familiar faces on board that was obvious even with his attention focused on nursing his foot. Still half asleep he leaned down to scoop up the katana, fumbling a bit with it in his dazed state. When he noticed two others training with blades, one of them being the person who had taken over teaching him while Kana was out of commission he was suddenly alot more alert. Interrupting that training looked like alot of fun. Without bothering to unsheath the weapon Kazuma rushed towards the pair and jammed his blade right in-between their interlocked weapons forcing both of them down towards the deck. " Hey hey hey! If you're gonna drag me along don't forget about me!" He stated with a certain arrogance as he stood there with both Kiba and Aya's weapons locked down, atleast until either of them fought back.

Kane had followed Hanabira onto the ship, Kazuma still on his back. The boy was getting quite big already; almost Kane's height in fact. Despite that, though, he was really skinny and light (It was actually quite rich of Kane to say that Kazuma was light because he could barely support him and move properly, but that was more attributed to Kane's lack of strength than Kazuma's weight...), which worried Kane a little bit, but he trusted that Kazuma could take care of himself. Gently propping Kazuma against some crates, he wandered off to the crew to ask about rooming arrangements. Once he'd dumped his pack down in his room, Kane began to walk around, observing his group with an interested eye.
He couldn't see Hanabira anywhere, but that didn't really worry him because really, where could she go? Maybe she was in the kitchens or below deck or in her room or something like that. Meanwhile, he passed Tanu, hiding behind a crate? He moved over to Tanu to ask what was going on and noticed that she didn't look too well. "Take some water," Kane advised her, finding a cup somewhere and pouring a bit of his water into it. He offered it to her, debating on whether to give her a back rub since she looked like she really needed one. This was an interesting tidbit he'd just learned about Tanu, and perhaps it was one that the rest of the team didn't need to know yet. Kane's eyes twinkled as he surveyed the young teen in front of him.

Aya frowned as Kazuma interrupted her and Kiba's joyful training session. She twisted her wrist and thought of a way to use the interruption as a push of momentum to get her blade in a defensive position. "Forget about you?" Aya asked as she raised her eyebrow, bringing down her sword. Kazuma walked out on training with Aya the last time, so for him to say something like that was just... stupid. Heaving a sigh and putting her hand on her hip, Aya figured that she was a role model and shouldn't 'b***h' about Kazuma's dumb behavior. "Alright. Take my place in facing Kiba then," Aya told Kazuma as she stepped back and gave Kiba her tanto. "Fight with it in the sheath. I'm sure the weight of the metal will be better for training," the girl said, surrendering her weapon to Kiba so that he could train a little better. Aya took a seat on a nearby crate to watch the two train. She'd give them advice here and there while watching.

Kiba pulled back out of the tangle of blades and listened nervously as Aya turned the young Raiken's training over to Kazuma. A bead of sweat rolled down his face at the proposition. Kiba was definitely no coward, but Kazuma's reputation, as it had come to the young Raiken, was not exactly wonderful. However, these aprehensions were quickly washed away when Kiba was given Aya's tonto to practice with. Even in its sheath it felt great in his hands. "Thank you Aya-san!" he said to her after recieving the large knife. "Ok, lets continue!" continued the Raiken swordsman on a different, more focused note as he resumed an offensive stance. He examined his opponent before deciding on a plan of attack. It was only training, but he would think about where he was aiming anyway. He settled upon a stab at Kazuma's heart with the blunt end of the sheathed weapon. With such a short weapon a great deal of slashing would not be terribly practical. He could not yet be certain of Kazuma's skill, but Kiba's own strike was excellently executed and would not be easily avoided.

Kazuma was kind of bummed Aya stepped out, he didn't even really know this other kid other than he was Tanu's genin sqaud which was already a strike against him. " Hmph, alright then..." he muttered in reply to Kiba, shrugging him and his little sword off as any real challenge, he let his katana hang low, the tip down by his feet a sign of how little a threat he took Kiba as. Clearly he had underestimated Kiba when he launched a speedy attack, it was much different than his own style which relied on strength. Chances are if Kiba's weapon wasn't a short blade Kazuma wouldn't have had the time to deflect the blow, luckily for the boy his blade was the longer one. As kiba darted forward with the sheathed blade aimed for his heart Kazuma brought his own blade up and slammed it into the underside of Kiba's weapon, changing it's trajectory and throwing it over his left shoulder. " Jeez you don't mess around!" he laughed as he glanced at the blade extended across his shoulder.

Just a little to the side. The dark eyes of the Raiken stared at the blade that had missed its mark. Though he had missed he could tell that he had made an impression. Kazuma, despite wielding a katana, hardly seemed like he had mastered the use of it yet. The natural advantages of the weapon in its length and Kazuma's battle experience, as well as the Raiken could suppose, were what had blocked Kiba's strike. "Nope, never fool around!" Kiba told Kazuma with a confident smile "You might end up with a blade beside your head." As he said this last part he removed the tanto from Kazuma and swelled with pride. It had been a rather well executed stab after all. So well executed in fact that he was about to start monologing. "Don't underestimate me! Letting your sword tip touch the ground, how careless!" As the young Raiken swordsman lectured he himself got a little comfortable and propped the tanto on his shoulder. Little hypocrite...

For once it was Kazuma's opponent that made the fatal flaw of becoming over confident. " This one aint going anywhere near the deck and you'll never see it coming" He replied to Kiba's taunt as he raised the katana high over his head and lept forward, striking down onto Kiba's shoulder or so it seemed. Before the blow would ever strike his opponent on the shoulder he twisted the blade and turned the straight downward cut into a diagonal blow across the throat, whether it would pay off or not remained to be seen but the same sudden change in attack had caught Aya's clone off guard so surely it would work on this kid.

Aya brought her legs up as she sat on the create to sit Indian style. "Nice attack, Kiba. Bring up that speed! Nice job deflecting it, Kazuma," Aya said with a smile as she watched Kazuma laugh and glance down his blade. As she watched the two continue to practice, she noted that the sheaths were on and she was glad for that. Stabs to the heart, aims to the throat, the two were going for very vital attacks. "Watch actions, don't listen to words," Aya warned Kiba as Kazuma went at the boy with the same attack he had pulled off on her clone.

"Ugh..." Tanu groaned as she thought she heard her cousin's annoying voice, which made her even more sick to her stomach. As Kane came up behind her, Tanu didn't even glance in his direction as her pale face stared at the rolling waves. "Are you sure?" Tanu asked as he offered her some water. Would putting something in her stomach just make her want to throw up more? Tanu wasn't sure, but Kane was her sense now and she accepted the cup from the chunin. Just the motion from turning and lifting her head to take the cup from the teen, made Tanu's stomach twist. She quickly grabbed the railing of the ship and dry-heaved once again. It really was a gross noise and it made her feel very weak. "Gah!" she shouted in frustration just pissed that a tough fighter like her was brought down by the motion of a gentle sailing boat.
