Lesson learned: Don't let other people borrow your instrument. xX Or just find one that noone else can play. Like get a bass bassoon, or a tenor piccilo. Then noone would mess with you. *cough* I suppose my perveterdness wasn't laid on thickly enough on that last comment I made. xp Oh, I caught that, I just decided not to respond to it. Besides why would you want to play a flute? The snare is so much more fun... xd

Hehe....
Okay, so me and the other tenor in my class have had this thing since freshman year where we beat on each other with pop bottles during/after basketball games. Why? Dunno. That's just how it is.
In any case, at the most recent basketball games (the two homecoming games), we both got pop bottles and were fighting during third quarter, which we have off. Well, the girl freshman alto decided SHE wanted to play, so took my pop bottle and started to hit him with it. It was stolen within thirty seconds. x.x;; So all of fourth quarter, when we were back in the stands, I was sitting there trying to get it from him, and eventually he shoved it in the bell of his tenor. Well, between me trying to get it out and him trying to keep it away... it kinda got stuck. XDD He got it out eventually though, but it was kinda half-crushed. ^^;; He still has it hidden somewhere in the storage room somewhere... I know, he was using it against me earlier. XD I'll find it someday.... ninja

Me and my friend Kyle were at my house practicing (me flute, him clarinet) and to bother my sister we played our most obnoxious notes to make her deaf. it didnt work.. i think it made us almost deaf.. my friend nicky looks for the boogey monster in her french horn.. she hasnt found him yet.. O.o xd

in eighth grade we had a sub one day taht knew nothign bout conduting a band.....we all knew this in advanced so everybody swicthed intresment....nobody played what they were suposed to and all.......the sub just stood there and waved a pencil in the air like it was going to help......we all had fun but got some funny looks when we left the band room after class.....

I'm sure every clarinetest knows the clarinet happy dance!! And if you don't: shame!
We stuffed a guy in a sousaphone uba case once and closed it (lock and all) then transported him that way to the game. Talk about getting in trouble.
We also out a guy inside the bell of a sousaphone, if I kind find the picture I'll post it! FUNNY!
We put a tuba mouth piece on the bari sax I was playing, it was so cool sounding!!

My old band director used to do a 'head toss' before each rehearsal. He would take one of his three-stooges plush heads and use the bari sax/tuba bells as target practice. It was quite fun! ^^

I would say a lot of things. My brother played trombone, so he would play trombone bowling with his friends. For myself I would say that I would use my saxophone as a sleep rest.

I have this thing where i twirl my trombone in figure eaights on each side of my body, making the slide just miss the inside of my armpit. well during a marching ste we were suposed to come up with a unique 12 beat dance move, so i did that.
I also put ping pong balls in the bell of my trombone, and those things go FLYING at super fast speeds. i do thsi randomely so it scary for teh trumpets in forn tof me ninja
I also took the rubber peice ofthe end of my shitty bach trombone and sharpened the it 3nodding

Well...today this jerk who plays trumpet was telling people I practice my oboe a lot because I use it like a bong for marijuana. I was quite entertained by that. I often tell people, "I don't do it that often, because my reeds don't stay wet very long with all the smoke coming in." So...that is one ridiculous thing someone has probably tried before. Maybe bassoons are better for bongs. They look a little bit more like one. Also, we had to have a simulated battle during our marching band field show...we did Zorro....and we had to use our instruments originally. The entire saxophone rank looked really stupid doing it, because we had to use it like we were holding big logs and almost clanging them together. In fact, the whole band looked dumb, so we switched to hiding these long black ribbons in our sleeves, then letting them out when we got to that point in the music. We had to swing them around and jump and run and stuff, so we still looked stupid. I guess it was better than the instrument idea.

I guess it was better than the instrument idea. basoons and oboes do not work well as bongs, nor do saxes or any reeded instrument. by the time the smoke goes by all the keys there is none left to really inhale.

Well, we had just finished warming up for a parade in Marching Band and we were standing in line to get ready. One of the clarinetists was trying to spin his clarinet thinking he was in color guard (and by the way he was spinning it, he definitely should NOT be in color guard. Ever.) and I guess he tossed it and it landed on the ground. stare The keys shattered and we were about to go on. I think our directors had some tape with them, so they kinda taped his clarinet back together, although it didn't play. It was both sad and hilarious at the same time.
