((Meh, Ruby's in a weird mood, you'll have to forgive her for being flighty.))
Syx shrugged, "I should have probably said ex-old guy, the one who was all uppity on killing folks. Doesn't matter, just a question."
"Come on, sugar," Ruby motioned with her hand, which was decorated with a few pretty rings. "Earlier it looked like some critters were tryin' to nest in your ship, an' I don't think that'd be good for it necessarily."

"Oh, aye. I think that bloke got shot, actually. Bad." He shrugged, walking towards Ruby. "I guess we'll be back. I'll come back, hopefully find any other folks, and caravan everyone together." Jarred walked with Ruby. "My ship has a nasty habit of bad things ending up in it when I'm gone."

"I find a good range of spells are usually nice at preventin' those things. I've known some vehicles with some nasty nasty protection spells set up on 'em." Ruby smiled and ducked beneath a draping branch. She glanced back at Jarred briefly, and then looked ahead again. "Fancy odd eyes you have there, Shanra. Not that I'm sayin' I'd be anythin' normal, but you'd have to admit they're rather unique. Do they run in the family?" She paused by a set of trees, hopping over a large root. "Speakin' of which, you ever hear the name 'Alloran Shanra'?"

Jarred raised an eyebrow. "Spells? That a fancy way to say security?" Jarred kept up with her, no difficulty in moving about the rough jungle. "I heard from my grandfather that it skips around generations a lot. Apparently his grandfather was the last one to have it, but it's kept within the name Shanra, for some reason." He shook his head at the question. "No, but I don't know my family tree so well. I all but got nipped off it as a bud, so I don't think it much likes me."

Ruby chuckled "Sure, sugar, think of it as a fancy way of sayin' security. But if you ever see a real big, black bus, I suggest you don't try breakin' into it." Ruby plucked a pink flower from one of the vines, and placed it behind her ear, not noticing the slight prickles on the end of the bloom. "I was askin' cause I used to know a fellow named Alloran Shanra, he was a good friend. It was somewhere round five hundred years ago, but I dont' forget folks all that easily. He watched after me a few times, when my angel couldn't, an would also remind me not to be too stubborn when I was actin' up an' angry with my angel." Ruby let out a soft sigh, "An' I could still do well to have those reminders every now an' then."

"Careful with the flower. Spines." He said, noting them on the other flowers from the vine. "Can't say I'd know of someone from that long ago, and I'm the last Shanra, but I can still look into it if you want." "Problems at home with that Arch person?" He said after a bit, making small talk.

"I'd appreciate it if you would." Ruby shook her head softly, not grabbing the flower from her hair as it fell out, since being cautious of the spines. "The last Shanra. Plan on stayin' the last Shanra too? Would follow Alloran's pattern of things, I'd say."
She paused for a moment then shook her head. "No. Sometimes minor things, but all in all, I don't think either of us would want to really change anythin'."

"Guess it isn't a good relationhip without some problems." He said shrugging. "No clue. I've had too much on my mind for settling down to figure in."

"If there ain't problems, it usually means soeme one is holdin' back feelin's. My angel is prob'ly certain I never hold back feelings." Ruby smiled, "If you just haven't thought about it then that means you ain't plannin' against it, necessarily. I swear Lori was considerin' bein' a monk. But I don't think he liked human girls much anyhow. If you do have any connection to him, I'm doubtin' it would be direct line...'nless he got drunk one night or somethin'." Ruby shrugged and paused before Jarred's Ship. "Grushdeva? Where'd you come up with a name like that?"

"Human girls? He wasn't human himself?" Jarred said, walking next to his ship, jumping up, grabbing onto is and monkeying his way to the top, peering in front of the ship. It was mostly small vegetation, allowing him to still take off. He glared down in the cockpit, small, fluffy critters sitting in it, a nest of branches and leaves. He reached in, only to have one snarl at him, his quick reflexes saving him a finger.
"I didn't come up with it. It was my grandfathers. He said it was a word in a very old language, that it meant "Vengence"" Jarred pulled off his flak cannon, prodding the critters with the end of it.

"He was an Eldon, green, with horns, over seven feet tall, with glowin' green eyes. He was also grumpy as all hell, and would light my hair on fire." Ruby peered at the creatures and resisted the urge to grab one and hug it. "Vengeance? Interestin' thing to name a ship. He ever say what kind of Vengeance it was for?"

"I have no idea what that is." He said simply, noting that the critters are kinda high up, given he had to climb to reach the cockpit. *shrugs* "Nah. I asked him, but he dismissed the question." Jarred held one hand near the critters, it snarling and snapping at it, and used his other hand to snatch them up, faster than a human should have been able to, and toss them into a large pile of moss to the side, along with the nest. "Eugh, they left some... waste in my ship."

Ruby decided to note that she was looking at one of the critters who happened to be on a eye level section of the ship or in a tree close by, and was not sitting in the cockpit, so to clear up discrepancy. "I technically don't have much an idea what it is either, 'cept that Alloran was one. An' If I had to guess what a Shanra would do, it'd be dismissin' the question. You have no idea how many times my questions got dismissed, course it didn't help that I asked so many of them."
Ruby watched the critters flying to the moss as they were tossed. "So what all happened with the Gilgamesh? I'm assumin' you witnessed the majority of it."

"Some." He said, scooping up stuff with sticks and tossing said sticks out of the cockpit. "The ship got locked down when the Kore's ship boarded and freed the prisoners, looking for some stone. I met up with the Marshal back there, and we started looking for five key cards that would let us unlock the ship. There was some crazy voodoo, some spider-bots, and ultimately, a blown up ship." He finished cleaning it up, groaning lightly about the smell. "Friend of mine showed up in the Star's Light and got most everyone off the ships, when the Gilgamesh unlocked, and flew, damaged as it is, towards the planet. No idea who unlocked it, but it was enough to have an effect on the Star's Light, so it had to bail." Jarred sat in the ship, everything working. "It's gonna be a bit of a tight fit, but two people have fit in here before."

"Sounds like quite the adventure. Not surprised to hear the Kore's involved though." She paused, "Any info on that stone? If it doesn't ring somethin' in my mind, I know someone for who it might."
Ruby stared at the ship. "You wanna fly back to the Gilgamesh?"
