"Well as far as writing, of course no one can stop you from that, whether you do it for fun or for pay." He said smiling at her sudden peppiness. "I actually have never worked in a place this... quiet. I've worked in many kitchens to learn the dishes you see on the new menu. Speaking of, you should drop by for lunch or dinner if you have the time! I must recommend the Chicken Marsala, it's a slightly spicy Indian dish served on rice." He rambled on for a moment, a new gleam in his eye.

Zephyte Estranta "Well as far as writing, of course no one can stop you from that, whether you do it for fun or for pay." He said smiling at her sudden peppiness. ( sweatdrop So so sorry! Stupid term papers completely made me forget this thread.... it won't happen again, though! Hopefully... sad ) "Ohh, that does sound good!" She giggles at his enthusiasm. "Hmm... many kitchens, you say? What was that like? And where were they? And what other dishes did you learn? And what type do you like the best? And do you mind the quietness here? And.. and..." She laughs outright. "Ah, I'm sorry, I'm being nosy again..."

"No, no, it's quite alright!" He said laughing aloud, "I actually really enjoy the quiet, it gives one what they need to think. And anyways if I need noise, I could always go back and fix up something new!" He went on, standing up and fixing himself a cup of the same tea.
"To be perfectly honest though, and let's just keep this between us." He began giving her a wink, "'ll let you try anything on the menu at least once, I'm not here to make more money, I'm simply here to show the people of this fine city an escape from the norm."

"Ah, that's a fine goal you have, then!" Taking another sip of tea, she grins. "And I might just have to take you up on that offer; anything that offers the citizens of this place an escape from the norm must be absolutely extraordinary." Laughing, she continued, slightly teasing. "And something new, sir? Surely that can't be all that noisy, unless you're one to accidentally explode things in the kitchen, as well."

Laughing out loud he looked back at her and said with a smile "You would be surprised! You never quite know what to expect when I get going back there. There's always a chance of something great but, then again, something can always, well... yes, explode." He said still smiling "Violently." He tacked on to the end quickly.
"So, if it wouldn't be too much to ask." He began to say "What would a lady such as yourself be doing this evening?"

Violently? Hmm.... Grinning, she tilted her head and considered his question for a moment. "Well... I can't answer for anyone else, but.. let's see." She paused for a moment, then laughed. "Absolutely nothing. Well, at least nothing's planned so far, but that could change quite easily. Why do you ask?"

"Welll, if you would care to stop by this evening... well you see I don't really have the hang of finding my way around yet..." He said slightly embarrassed. "If you would be so kind as to help me around surely I could provide something for your time"

Noticing his embarrassment, she tries not to giggle, and instead smiles broadly. "Oh, that sounds like fun! I'd love to help! What sort of places would you like to see? And don't be silly about providing anything, it'd be my honor to show you around!"

A young woman stepped into the tea shop, shaking off the winter chill. Seeing a man and a woman engaged in a flirtatious conversation, she just removed and folded her jacket.

Chali Tyris yawned as she pushed her way into the new tea house. Her jumpsuit she unzipped and slipped off so that it hung around her waist, little more than a pair of pants. She was pretty clean underneath, and it showed off her cute floral top. She wore all of her silky blonde hair up in her cap where it wouldn't get all dirty- a legitimate fear in the engine rooms. She had a few spotches of grease on her cheeks and neck, and the rest of her skin not usually hidden under the uniform was slowly darkening, more a shade of gray then caucasian- apart from around her eyes where the goggles went.
She was a well built girl but hardly muscular. She liked keeping a pretty lean figure, kinda curvy which most people didn't expect, but she wasn't all about work. At the moment she was all about drinking and checkin' out the gambler's scene. She had some cash to burn, like always.
"Hey! What's a girl gotta do to get a rum and coke up in here?" She smiled brightly as she waved for the shopkeep. Loud and cheerful; that's just how she rolled. "Evenin' luvs. Rehh~??" She looked around, utterly surprised by the cute, homely atmosphere and displayed pastries. She actually backed up out of the shop so she could read the sign right. "When'd this get here? How'd I miss the tavern? Well shucks, I guess it's coffee and baileys then, eh?"

Looking at both of the customers as they entered, Lenore can't help but grin even more. "It seems like you aren't destined for much quiet today, sir. Ah well! It's probably best to attend to them before anyone gets too impatient... I'll sit and wait here, thinking of more things to ask you." She glances demurely at her tea, and takes a sip. "For instance, what name you go by." She smiled good-naturedly at him.

"To you madam..." He said looking the loud one, "Rum and cola I beliave I can provide! And to the calm one have yourself a seat, I'll get you anything you like."
((Sorry it's been so long everybody! College has kept me rather busy. I'm back now, I promise!))

She took a seat and smiled up at him. "You wouldn't happen to have Earl Grey, would you?"

"I certainly would!" He told her as he quickly turned to get her tea, turning to look over his shoulder he asked her, "Could I get you anything to eat miss?"

Chali moved up the counter, rubbing her neck with a little embarrassment. "Kinda odd for a tea house to have rum on hand. I ain't gunna ask, but thanks for the drink."
She sat facing the room, taking in the sights with curiosity. "Homely little place." Very clean. She wasn't used to places like this. She worked in the engine room, she drank at the pub. She was part of a dark, greasy world. This looked like a place for Ladies and Gentlemen; which she'd never been acquainted to before. She liked that they were nice; it was just strange for her. She felt like she needed a good wash before coming in. Yeah right..
