As if Chase wasn’t felling cold enough, shaking on his unstable perch, Clover’s shriek froze him all the way to the blood in his veins. The blue gaze locked in a single direction and the shadow bellowed at the dripping darkeness. “CLOVER!!!” CLOOOVER!” Apart from the Thunderbird’s roar and the slashing wind, there was no answer…

“Vinch, I heard a scream!” he shouted back at the deep woods. “She went that way! It was her, I’m sure!! Something happened.” He was quite serious now and worried and scared and… he couldn’t even think. “We have to go after her!” That wasn’t exactly what he had meant to say (even though it expressed his deepest wishes at the moment) so Chase was quick to correct his wording. “I’m going after her!” And he did. One tree at a time. Just a flap and stop. Every time the wind weakens… that branch. Now. Stop. And again…

Aware that he wasn’t the most skilled flyer, Chase concentrated his entire energy on making the slowest advances in order to reach the female. Before moving towards another tree he looked back for an instance, hopeful. Was Vinch coming?

A chill ran down Vinch's spine at all the sounds of pain emanating throughout the forest. He had been too easygoing about the storm; he had forgotten how powerful the Thunderbird could be.

Everything that was happening took a minute to register in Vinch's mind. He sorted everything out and then realized what he had to do. He had to help Clover.

After that Vinch sped off after Chase, but was thrown about by the storm. He scrambled back towards the branches of the tree. He then watched Chase and tried to follow his example, but was behind. Vinch hopped as quickly as possible, slipping in the rain and pushed around by the wind. His heart couldn't stop racing.

As he went further towards where the call came from. He thought he could see a brightly colored patch. "IS THAT HER, CHASE?" he asked desperately to his companion, loudly to compete with the volume of the storm.

"CLOVER!!! WHERE ARE YOU?"



((How would you guys like to end the storm/RP? Should the rain end when we find Clover and can maybe then help her to safety and that would be the end of the RP?))

As he looked back for Vinch, Chase noticed how the wind and rain were weakening even if the Thunderbird’s roar could still be heard slowly moving further away in the distance. The storm was almost over. And the deep woods watcher was indeed right after him.

"IS THAT HER, CHASE?"

Chase spun about looking for the target of Vinch’s words and did see the bright colored sentinel trapped between the vines that surrounded a large oak. As he approached her, guided by sudden light that fills the night, the shadow looked to the ground several times noting how lucky the mist had been.

“You’re right Vinch! It’s Clover!” he doesn’t seem to scream quite as loud as before and his soaked body (though cold) seems to be adjusting a lot more nicely in the absence of rain. “She’s out! But breathing, still breathing… thank Noctus…” There was relief in his voice as he landed on the closest oak branch “There’s a bit of blood! Clover, can you hear me?”

Clover finally seemed to stir a little at the males' continued talking. Her face contorted into a grimace as she came round, and the pain of the impact hit. She let out a sharp hiss, and looked around dazedly. "Oh...'found shelter...tree..." She mumbled, obviously not all the way back to her senses yet. Regardless, she managed a feeble smile at Vinch and Chase. "Looks like...you two made it here...better off than me...eh?"

Vinch could finally relax. Clover was going to be ok. Seeing and hearing his new friend finally brought back his confidence. They weren't out of danger, but now that the storm is over and they were together again Vinch believed in the bright future.

"Of course we can. We must transport our lovely lady! Don't you worry about a thing, a beauty such as you shouldn't have to lift so much as a feather. Your blue-eyed servants will take care of your every need. Ready, Chase?"

"LET'S GO!"
