The sudden turn in the storm was enough to make the gatherer's feathers stand on end, but she was quickly distracted by the little ball of feathers that nearly knocked her from her perch.
Twilla was worried beyond a doubt, but began to preen the squalling fledgling in hopes of calming her. Her screeching was just as bad as the loud storm.
"Hush, shhh, shh Nica. We're alright. We'll be fine." She crooned as best she could.

Sly removed himself from the pair, not one for 'open affection' or it being near him. Stepping away, he looked up, noting how the sky was thinning. His prayers had been answered. Thanking Noctus for it, he started to ease his way down the length of the branch, testing out the weather. The wind was dieing off and the rain was down to a timid drizzle.
What really got Sly's attention was all the commotion he heard farther off in the heart of the woods. It sounded big and he wanted to be where the action was and be available if needed. Slowly, he stretched out his wings, judging their weight and if they would work for fly and if he was even up to make the distance.
"You should send off Nica back to her minders. The storm is thinning out." He said, not bothering to turn back and look at them as he stretched his wings in a timid shower.
