Swept Away

----

"Sky..." Ceres mumbled as she felt the cool water tickle her shoes as the waves came to greet the shore. Her eyes fluttered as she yawned. She scooted more in his lap, seeking his warmth and rhythmic breathing. So was completely at peace for the moment despite the little one kicking her ribs.

"You dosed off." Sky said softly as she brushed a few stray strands of of hair from her face. "You looked so calm I didn't see the point in waking you." He rubbed her shoulders just enough to warm her up despite the days heat.

Ceres nodded. "I enjoy the little naps." She stretched her legs that ached a little, and were fuzzy threatening to fall asleep. The gnawing ache in her back made her feel sick. She shifted her weight as she rubbed her belly. "The days almost ending..." She whispered.

"Yes it is." Sky said as he looked out of the water to catch a glimpse of the setting sun. "Doesn't mean we have to rush off." He couldn't help himself as he grinned.

Ceres couldn't help her kid like grin either. Since that moment a few months previous she'd been swept off her feet by Sky, and whisked to bed things had been different. They had learned intimacy without consummation. "I agree. It is too peaceful a moment to abruptly end it."

Sky nodded his head in agreement. "There is one thing though..." He could see the look of curiosity on her face. She'd forgotten herself, but he hadn't. He reached for the bag that they always carried now as of late. He dug around for a bit and pulled out some fresh fruit.

"Sky!" Her eyes wide as saucers. "You always know I'm hungry, before I even know." She laughed for a little bit as she took the fruit from him. "You are wonderful."

"It is simple knowledge that you eat every couple hours, and after waking up from a nap." Sky leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "This just happens to be one of those times when you can check both options off the list."

Ceres smiled as she started to eat the fruit. She looked out over the ocean. It wasn't the sunset that caught her attention but the waves. She noticed the tide coming in, and the way the waves foamed. "Well be swept away soon..."

"I've already been swept away." Sky said simply as he looked away from the sunset and into her eyes. "You have a way with me that no other has." He could feel the waves begin to tickle his own toes.

Ceres' cheeks colored lightly. "You beat me to the best phrase." She said as she tossed the core into the ocean. "Seriously though as perfect as the moment is we do need to move. Or else we'll have wet bottoms."

They both erupted with laugher. Their moods were so versatile, much like the waves. What one felt the other did. They were in harmony with each other. Finally catching their breaths they nodded in agreement that they did need to move.

A Warm Summer Day (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and Fauste.

----

Ceres fluffed the pillow before she stretched out in the lawn chair. She used the nearest stump to prop her legs hoping to avoid the cramps. A light breeze helped cool down the heat of the day. So comfortable she couldn't stifle her yawn.

She was heading toward the house until she saw Ceres reclined and outside so she turned and made a b-line right for the pregnant woman with a bright smile. There was something different about the elf. Something more self assured in the way she carried herself. Fauste was usually very comfortable and confident with herself but this seemed somehow different...

Fauste’s silver white hair swished faintly side to side as she walked it had gotten quite long and threatening to grow past the back of her thighs and toward the ground.

It had been some months since she had last talked with Ceres though the two corresponded every day. The elf had been simply too busy to physically come over and visit, what with getting reacquainted with her surroundings and such.

Ceres' eyes fluttered open. Seeing the approaching happy figure she scooted to the edge of the chair, and with a great deal of difficulty managed to stand. She pressed her hand into her back, while the other rubbed her ever growing belly.

Ceres took in the site of what looked somewhat familiar. By facial features, and other attributes she knew it had to be Fauste, but she was doubting herself. "Fauste..." She whispered still rather shocked.

Fauste came to a stop tilting her head. Her skirt swished lightly around her as she came to a stop. The elf tilted her head looking mildly confused by her friend’s surprise. Obviously whatever had changed her had given her enough time to get so used to it that she didn’t notice.

It took a moment before Fauste let out a small ‘Oh...’ and then extended her arms to turn slowly in place, “Yeah, I wanted to surprise you. Mission accomplished?”

Ceres put both hands on her belly, as if holding herself, while she laughed. "Yes, but a wonderful surprise." She would have run if she could, but she had to settle for a waddle. "Seems I am not the only one with a bit of news." Ceres said as she embraced the other.

Fauste met with Ceres part way instead of making the largely pregnant woman waddle her way toward where she stood. As they met they shared an embrace as Fauste laughed lightly and nodded, “Do you have news then? Mine can wait, I assure you.”

"You first dear..." Ceres grinned. "My news takes us inside, and it is to good a day to spoil it just yet with an inside retreat." She put her arm around the others waist, and guided her towards where she was sitting. "I love the new look."

Fauste laughed a bit waiting for Ceres to sit down for the time being. The elf would always help the woman back up if need be, and likely would insist on it in the end.

“It is nothing major...It was really strange how it came about to be very honest.” She wrinkled her nose a bit. “I am still doubting the truth of it, really.” Messages in dreams are often something to be doubted to be sure. For dreams could just be dreams.

Ceres fluffed the pillow before using it. She didn't loose site of Fauste's eyes, or let her smile waver. "What do you mean... 'doubting the truth of it'.

How to describe this without sounding like a nutjob?

Fauste remained standing as she rocked from heel to toe for a moment her gaze pointed skyward for a moment, “Well you know much of my past I am not very proud of.” The elf admitted with a small murmur. “There had always been, for me, a question of my birth, wondering who my parents were.”

“It seems I am not at all as I thought to be. It was odd, I was working on the stalls and suddenly something felt ... Different like something inside of me snapped or broke.” The woman tried to explain but obviously these weren’t the quite the right words by the way her face scrunched up.

“Next thing I knew I was very tired...”

Ceres with great difficult stood again. She took a moment to situate herself. All this up and down, and roundness made her clothes shift and not fit like they use to. She had stood so that she would not be looking up at her friend, but instead eye to eye. She smiled ever so softly as she put her hand on the others shoulder. "This island has a way with things and time... You may forget. You may remember." She sighed softly. "I know these things because with time I've forgotten a good bit, but at the same time I remember things from centuries ago."

Fauste laughed a bit and moved forward a bit to give her friend a hug, “I realize this, in my own way. Though when I went to sleep the next thing I knew I was on my roof,” Fauste laughed lightly at the memory.

“I almost fell off the damn thing.”

"You must have remember walking the plank for a swim, or perhaps there is some need or desire to do such thing." Ceres chuckled as she hugged Fauste. She was trying to make light of the situation. "But, unless you see anything negative about this... Then I think it has done you some good to remember what you have forgotten."

Again she laughed and shrugged. “There were no ladders near by and there isn’t a way to the roof from within the house via the windows.” Fauste shook her head, “I am sure I’ll figure it out one day...” She scrunched her nose again. “Either way I had a dream of my parents, they were talking to me through the dream.”

She shrugs, “Didn’t understand a word they were saying, but they both were elves of some sort.”

“A mystery to be figured out later I suppose. What is your news?”

"It certainty isn't my tummy." Ceres laughed as she motioned Fauste towards the house. "You remember 'lil Miss Aurora who just simply refused to grow up?"

Fauste smiled and nodded as she linked arms with Ceres wandering toward the house with her friend. “I do indeed. Why? Is something wrong?” The elf asked with a concerned tone to her voice.

"Far from wrong... Well unless you count the bust line, and her being more blessed than a mother would hope for her child." Ceres chuckled as they walked merrily, but slowly towards the house. "But, before I say more... I would like to ask. Would you please stick around until a bit after the baby is born."

Fauste grinned as Ceres described Aurora’s new ... state. It was amusing to think that little inkling could grow up all of the sudden. She couldn’t wait to see for herself.

Then a request reached the elf’s ears. She blinked a little and shifted her shoulders, “I do not see why I couldn’t. I’ll just send a message for Ante to drop by here instead of at home. He is on his way back now. Wait until you see him. I am not sure when he will be back exactly...”

"Seems spring is the time for things to grow, and arrive." Ceres chuckled as she opened the door for Fauste. "I'm very pleased that I will have both you and Lexiel here..."

Fauste grinned as she slipped in through the door way and into the home. “Seems like you are going to have a full home again,” the elf said laughingly. She stretched out her arms a bit as she waited for Ceres to join her again.

"You know me... I love a full house." Ceres grinned as she again joined Fauste at the hip. "Aurora..." She called out. "Come to the living room please."

"Yes, mum..." Aurora said as she came padding down the hall. She entered living room wrapped in a towel, and dripping wet. "Sorry, just out the shower." She smiled when she laid eyes on Fauste. "My favorite aunty!" She squealed in delight.

Fauste wrapped an arm about Ceres’ shoulders as she was rejoined. Fauste seemed content to be here amongst her friends and family again. Then her blue eyes fell upon Aurora. She blinked a bit taking in the girl’s form and she gave a small chuckle.

“It seems the word inkling doesn’t suit you anymore, Aurora-dear.” Fauste said with a mild teasing tone. “My you have grown into a beautiful young woman.”

Aurora's cheeks colored, and she scooted the towel up just a bit more. "Thank You." She said as she threw her arms around Fauste. "You're a real looker yourself."

"How about you go and get dressed. Then gather up your siblings." Ceres grinned. "I'll fix us a nice, easy lunch that we can have outside."

Fauste returned the hug with a small grin. She gave her ‘niece’ a kiss upon the cheek. “Thank you, dearie,” Fauste said accepting the compliment given by the grown young woman before her.

She nodded to Ceres, “I’ll help you, if that is alright?” Fauste had never been much for being idle. Even as she spoke she began to wander with Ceres to the kitchen...

The Birth of Natalia (- PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, Fauste, and [~Lexiel~].

----

Everyone had pretty much convinced Ceres as of late to stay close to the house, not to travel, and just enjoy lounging. She, however, wasn't a lounger, and the extra rest was driving her up the walls.

Ceres today had managed to convince Sky, Lexiel, and Fauste for them to all go out and have a picnic. So there they all sat on a fluffy, white blanket. It was a very warm day outside that didn't seem to render a care.

Ceres let out a small yawn as she rested her hands on her stomach. She was leaned up against a tree, having just finished her fill of the food. She gave a lazy look to Fauste and Lexiel. "I don't think anything could happen to make this a bad day." She smiled trying to reassure her friends, and Sky.

Sky snorted. "Speak for yourself..." He was always worried over any little thing when it came to Ceres. He had sat close to her, but not that close. He had know that recently any little thing seemed to make her hot, and being hot made her miserable... He was surprised she wanted this picnic.

Fauste cleared away a good majority of the picnic things after everyone had finished eating for the moment. She left out only the glasses and drink thermos. Once that was done the tall elf laid out on her stomach as she crossed her legs at the ankles. Today she wore a pair of capri pants of a light beige color and a light green tank top shirt with a flowery pattern upon it. Fauste’s sandals laid out somewhere in the grass.

The woman faced her friends where she laid, setting her chin against her forearms which were folded on top of each other for the use of a pillow. "Good days are in the eye of the beholder," Fauste pointed out, "as long as Ceres is happy and content I consider this a good day thus far."

The picnic now cleared Lexiel, in a light blue flowing day dress, relaxed in the cool ocean breeze. She then yawned and burped at the same time, probably from eating a bit too much too fast. Quickly she covered her mouth blushing.

"Excuse me...." She paused, wondering if anyone would care. She then continued with the previous discussion.

"I agree with Fauste. I'm happy as a lark as long as everything stays as fine as it has been recently. The food was good and the company even better. It does get tiresomely lonesome back at the Cabin all by myself." She paused and glanced around nervously, wondering if she still had anyone's interest.

"You all should come visit me up there sometime, when circumstances are less hindering of course." She said smiling at her friends after glancing at Ceres' round stomach.

"Yes a visit would be lovely!" Ceres smiled toward Lexiel. "This distance must cease, and with the mirror fixed..." She gasped, and reached for her bag. "That reminds me."

Ceres pulled out Lexiels mirror that she had promised to fix. The mirror also been polished up a good bit. "Just like new. Now you shouldn't have to do so much walking to visit... Not to mention you'll get your mail." She laughed she offered the mirror to her. The laugh, however, had quickly soured.

Fauste’s eyes closed a bit while wearing an amused smile on her lips as she listened to everyone talking and though she didn’t look it, she was actually very attentive to what everyone around her said.

“I’ll certainly come visit someday, Lexiel.” Fauste assured softly from her spot, a sure sign that she was listening to what was being said. The elf didn’t seem to notice accidental bodily sounds issuing from Lexiel and thus didn’t comment on it.

Lexiel had taken the mirror and sat it in her lap. "Thanks for fixing it, I could have never done it..." She paused noticing Ceres' now worried look on her face, now looking back down at the mirror. Lexiel followed her gaze to see that the mirror had taken on a red sheen. A very angry red, but from where she sat she couldn't exactly see what it was pointing at.

Right at that moment a gusting wind picked up, sending some of the napkins flying from their setting next to the tree. Off in the distance, Lexiel saw dark ominous clouds moving swiftly over their once perfect day. "What a wind huh? And it came out of nowhere too..." A worried look appeared in her features as she pondered to herself.

"Maybe we should all head back now? It looks like it might storm."

Ceres didn't know the man who's reflection was in the mirror. But the sinking feeling could lead her to a good guess. She turned to look over her shoulder. Just behind them there stood a man who could match Sky's height. He was firm, and tone. With eyes that gave depth, as if they could swallow a person. A mess of raven black hair collected over his shoulders, and down his back.

Ceres looked away from him as she felt droplets on her shoulder. She held out her hand, and looked at the sky. "A change in place might be best." She said with pain in her voice.

Her eyes opened a bit wider to watch the mirror being given but said nothing. There was nothing that needed to be said.

Concerned about the way Ceres' voice had sounded the elf was put on edge, quickly taking a glance behind the tree to see what made Ceres so distraught, but saw nothing. Slightly confused Fauste began to put away the things they had brought out for their picnic away in a large wicker basket. The winds were even stronger now, whipping her white hair around her face as she worked quickly to get them moving.

Before Fauste forgot she quickly slipped her feet into her sandals that were laying about a foot away from where they sat.

Lexiel noticed the urgency of the situation right away and immediately started helping Fauste with cleaning up. She had carefully put down her mirror and folded up the blanket that they had been sitting on.

Upon sitting back to grab her mirror she noticed something in the reflection of the mirror. Long charcoal dark hair was being reflected in its silver pools. Upon picking it up though the angle was lost and the image was once again unseen. She wondered to herself if it had just been a figment of her imagination.

Ceres' guess was confirmed as she felt his anger pulse through her views. "Oh God." She cried out as the pains shot into her belly. She put both hands on her stomach as she inhaled sharply. A sudden liquid gush soaked her lower half, and the blanket she was sitting on. "My baby..." She sobbed as tears formed in her eyes.

Sky picked up Ceres' moment of panic. His attention no longer on the picnic, but on their surroundings. He to saw what Ceres saw even if now it was just a shadow in the graying background. His attention was quickly drawn back to Ceres. He dropped everything, and quickly went to Ceres' side. "We need to quicken our pace. This baby's not going to wait..."

Her brow furrowed a bit at all this. It WAS a good day and she had hoped it would continue to be a good day. She adjusted her footing in her sandals and glanced around trying to get a sense of what was going on through the bad weather and her surroundings, avoiding gazing at the mirror in any way as if she was in denial of something or afraid of whatever she would possibly see would knock the nerve right out of her.

She held the basket in her arms looking at Sky and Ceres, concern clearly on her face, “Let’s go then, lead the way, if need be carry Ceres.” There was a tone of urgency to her voice as she spoke. This was not good. The child was early if it is trying to get out. She glanced at Lexiel as if to seek confirmation from the other woman. It didn’t seem safe to make Ceres walk while chaos and danger broke lose around them.

Just as Sky had scooped Ceres up another pain rippled through her. It felt as if it went from tip to toe. Her face flush despite the wind. She bit into her lip forcing herself not to scream. Finally she painted in some relief if you could call it that. Every inch of her tingled as if in anticipation of the next 'big wave'.

Ceres would consider this a mild discomfort. It could have been worse. She could have had no one around to help her, and no one to hold and comfort her. It could be pouring by now... And the bottom fell out of the sky.

"b*****d..." Ceres called out through gritted teeth. She wasn't associating the word with anyone in the group, but to the island. Her hands rubbed her belly furiously as she felt another one coming out. She had never understood the capability of its wrath, but she was starting to understand the tip of it.

Sky's strength was coming in handy with the few extra pounds Ceres had gained, but the human legs slowed him down. Soon enough they were at the tree line where Lexiel had led them.

Fauste followed unquestioningly taking position closer toward the back of the group and pretty much keeping an eye on the weather and the general mass of chaos that broke out. She would call a warning and even put herself in harm’s way if need be.

The elf was thankful that they had just about reached their destination without any major mishaps but she was still on guard as she glanced about herself and over her shoulder. This all seemed so strange and unnatural but at the same time very exciting. Of course she kept those thoughts to herself...

The Crystal Horse (Thread ORP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Surion Rakamash, and Kawaii_Hime_Ceres.

----

Surion wanted to get away from Faerun, least for a few hours, there was still things in the world of Gaia he wanted to remember, well... technically a LOT he wanted to remember. And far too many questions that were unanswered. His mind was also wishing to not think about the new male that had befriended his mother.

He plane-shifts into the world of Gaia, taking his ring off so that his true appearance was obvious as he moves through the city, a dragonette on each shoulder. Eventually he finds himself at the GMFC building once more and he enters looking around.

Ceres laughed at something Sky had said to her as they entered the clinics waiting area. It had been about a week since the birth of Natalia. Having throughly rested up she was ready for the 'world' again. She couldn't take another day of bed rest.

Sky was still cautious of Ceres and Natalia. With good reason. It was through his eyes that Ceres could see, but his daughter couldn't see at all. He insisted on helping Ceres sit on an empty spot on the floor.

Natalia was cradled in her mothers arms. She clutched the blanket possessively, and sucked her thumb.

Surion sees the woman and the child and nods his hello "Hello" the tall male greets her as he moves to take the cloak off and set it on a chair."

Ceres turns her head in the direction of the voice, but looks off in another direction. Her issues with site are now apparent. "Hello. I am Ceres, and this little one is Natalia." She pulls her long blond hair with silver streaks over her shoulder.

"And, I'm Sky." Sky's could speak human, but he was slow. He remained standing, and at 6'2 he towered over those in his care.

Once he'd set his cloak on the chair, the red psudo dragon who had been sitting on his shoulder drops onto it almost as if to protect it. "I'm Surion" he introduces himself after a moment. His height wasn't far off from Sky's. Surion looks around for other's his long dark bangs covering half of his face and his right eye.

Sky looked the dragon boy over, every inch of him. And, with those moments Ceres did the same. It was almost eerie the way they were in sync with each other.

"You seem harmless enough..." Ceres said softly as she pushed her tail against her body. "Join us Surion." She patted the floor next to her.

Surion raises a brow at her assessment of him but after a moment moves towards them and takes a seat, the jaguar patterned dragonette which had remained on his shoulder skitters down into his lap and then creeps forward looking to see the infant.

"How old is your clutch" he inquires after watching the dragonette peer into the bundle.

"Close to a week." Ceres smiled when Sky sat next to her and kept his eyes on Natalia. "Natalia let mommy have the blanket for just a second. Someone wants to see you." She spoke soothing tones to the child.

Natalia's eyes looked in the direction of the voice, but that was about the extent. She gurgled in disapproval as her blanket was taken. But, further than that made no possessive movement, she was trusting her mother.

"Thank You." Ceres touched the little girls cheek. "She's got her fathers beautiful physical features, but my genetics. She is blind. She won't learn her gift till she is of age."

The dragonette sketters off Surion's lap, and onto Cere's lap. 'Little person bonded, little person, not seen little person in long time' it chitters allowed but it's speaking in Surion's head

"Natalia... is she named after anyone" Surion inquires to the infant's mother.

Ceres chuckled as she returned the blanket to her child, and rested her hand on the dragonette that and come to rest in her lap. She could find no harm in anything. "She isn't named after anyone that I know of... She is named for the meaning behind the name. 'Gift'."

Ceres blushed a little. "I am 450 years old by my biological clock. I am a virgin. Sky was kind enough to allow himself to be transformed from Pegasus to human in order for this child to be born."

Sky put his hand on Ceres' shoulder.

His eyebrows raise "450 years, thats a far cry from my almost 3 years. I could understand the choice of that name, it's very suitable to how the child came to be by the sounds of it" He pushes his long bangs over one of his pointed ears. He watches the child and smiles, his eyes shift to an emerald green color and he forms a small ball of water over his hand it slowly was changing shapes. He wasn't sure why but he could sense he'd done this for another child in the past.

Senti pushes his head slightly into the hand liking the attention he was chittering up a storm, only Surion understanding what the dragonette was saying.

"I wish I could understand you." Ceres' chuckled petting the little guy in her lap. "But, we aren't on my island. Thus I am limited. But perhaps with permission you would like a treat?" She didn't reach for her bag just yet.

Though she didn't look directly, with Sky's eyes on Surion, Ceres knew what was going on. "Is that an ability or a gift?" Sky asked intrigued by him. He looked away for a moment to check on Natalia.

Senti looks up at her looking rather to like that idea.

"He can have a treat" Surion gives his ok. The ball of water continues to change the shapes from basic shapes to little animals and toys. "It's an ability that my race can do" he replies to the male's question.

Ceres reached for her bag. She opened the bag widely so the world could see what was in it. She reached in and dug around blindly. "Lets see... Fruit or Meat." She smiled.

"It seems like it would be a very useful ability." Sky gave a soft whinny as he shook his head out of habit. His Pegasus like movements still took over every now and again.

Natalia gurgled at all the sounds. Her eyes shifted, but her body didn't. She was content to have her blanket, and her thumb.

Senti chitters happily watching the woman move, and looking into her bag, his interest in the infant currently lost.

"He's a meat eater." Surion replies, he pulls the ball of water back to himself turning it into a little horse. His other hand soon containing a figure matching it but made of pure energy "I vaguely remember learning to control it, but it's not really hard, kinda like riding a bicycle." He smiles softly bringing his hands together, a small burst of light coming from between his fingers.

Ceres pulled out a container that contained an undressed sandwhich. She opened it, and removed the bread. She sat the meat on the lid, and placed it before the critter in her lap. "It's ham." She chuckled. "Enjoy."

"Often times things aren't forgotten, just misplaced in memory." Sky smiled towards Surion still intrigued by what he was doing.

It didnt take more then a moment for the jaguar patterened dargonette to chitter his thanks happily and dig into the meat.

"No... I'm meaning I really dont remember, much like I dont remember most of my life" He tries to explain. He pulls his hands apart and on his palm, now a crystal horse that was almost purely clear with only a very light hint of blue. He smiles softly for a moment before the smile slips away and he looks at the male "There is much I cannot explain, and people here who seem to remember me, but I really do not know them." He offers the crystal horse to Sky.

Sky looked at Surion with a look of awe. Purely amazed as he took the crystal horse. "It is beautiful." He said inspecting the figure. "I am still amazed how you did this."

"Memory is a fickle things." Ceres said feeling about the floor till she found her bag again. She pulled the flap over the opening with a smile. "There is much I cannot remember. It is nothing to be ashamed of. It happens."

Surion hands the horse to Sky and then drops his hands into his lap. "Nothing really, thats what happens when my energies and waters come in contact." He pauses looking at the female only just then figuring out her vision was gone "I"m not ashamed... I'm trying to remember, but so far not succeeding. Last time I was here I ran into a redheaded male and a female who both seemed to know me, but I don't know who they are... and the redhead, Elliot I think his name was told me she was named Tinania, which matched this ring, but.." he shakes is head "I have no idea... hopefully one day I will.. I feel like I'm missing something."

Sky continued to to be interested by the Crystal Horse.

Ceres felt for the end of her hair, and she played with the tips of it. Her fingers curling circles. "I know how it feels to be missing something..." She didn't smile, but her features were still gentle. "Is there a medical condition associated with your memory loss?" She asked trying to not show concern.

Ceres' attention was momentarily averted as she heard Natalia start to cry. She knew it was due to being hungry. Out of memory she reached out to where her baby last was. "Do you mind if I nurse her? I can cover up with a blanket." She didn't want to embarrass anyone.

Senti finishes the ham he'd been given and then skitters back onto Surion's shoulder curling up contently, his long tail wrapping instinctively around his upper arm/

"No, not medical, magical.... accident, mom too" he didnt really want to go into much more details, he didn't almost ever tell anyone, he was very quiet about it. "I dont mind if you feed, all persons need to eat."

Ceres nodded as she shifted her breast out her top and positioned her child so that she could feed. "Well, all magic has a 'cure'. It just takes time... And, sometimes with time the magical elements fade and dwindle." She smiled reassuringly. "The question you have to ask yourself... Are you prepared to remember what you have forgotten?"

"I live in a world of magic, and even the person who caused it does not know how to fix it... So I'm left with trying to learn it myself." He pauses listening to the rest of Ceres' words. "You know, knowing something would be better then knowing nothing and having that huge empty hole in one's history" he sighs.

"I beg to differ..." Ceres said as she tucked herself back into place when Natalia had her fill. She held her over her shoulder to burp her. "When I was a little girl... And, not by human standards, although I looked six. I learned a terrible secret. You see I grew up thinking my mother was dead... Come to find out she was very much alive." She sighed softly, it still hurt to tell this story. "She is a tree on our island. A very wise ol' soul full of despair, and with good reason. For you see pregnancy is to bring joy, but to the Maidens of the island like myself it is nothing more than procreation, and the meaning of our end."

When Sky offered to take Natalia she smiled, and nodded her head. The baby carefully exchanged parents. "My mother didn't want that in life, she wanted to love and to be free. She looked very much like the first maiden, and the island loved her, and grew angry when she had learned to love. For love is taboo. It messes with our purpose." She took a long still moment to blink. "The island took shape, and did a terrible thing. She was raped, and in all her sadness she had me. She sent me back to earth, another forbidden thing... My father also defiant of traditions set out to find her... He is now a tree also."

"Some days I wish I was still that innocent girl with a mother who I thought was dead, and had a single father. No responsibility to the place of my birth. But the island depends on me, as I depend on it..." Ceres swallowed harder than she had meant to. "Knowledge is power, but at what cost."

Surion frowns hearing the story "I'm sorry to hear that, I hope if I find my past it isn't so... bad" he sighs "I'm sorry I need to head out, mom has been hanging out with this new guy and I'm a lil worried about her" he stands up nodding to her before scooping up his cloak, the psudo dragon jumping to his shoulder as he puts it on to head out.

Ceres nodded her head. "Good luck with that. May we meet again."

Catching Up (Guild PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: ~Kiana_Nala~, and Kawaii_Hime_Ceres.

----

Chelsea walked around the GMFC Clinic looking for the coffee machine. "Coffee!!!" she said in a evil-ish tone. "Mwahaha!"

Ceres had remained sitting after Surion had left just moments ago. For once she didn't have to rush back to the island just yet, and cut conversation off... Which was nearly all the time for her. She titled her head when she heard a familiar voice. "Rain? Is that you?" She asked out of politeness because Sky hadn't looked that direction for Ceres yet.

Chelsea looked around and then walked back into the sitting area. She saw that Ceres was there and she smiled. "Hello Ceres!!" she said happily as she jogged over to her. "How is the baby? When are you due?" (she didn't know that Ceres had the baby yet).

"Due?" Ceres laughed. "Actually..." She motioned to the blanket where Natalia lay.

Chelsea looked at the blanket and squealed silently to herself. "She's adorable!" she said with glee. "When did you have her?" she asked smiling happily at the baby. "What did you name her?" she asked curiously.

"Natalia was born a week ago." Ceres smiled softly.

"Natalia... that's a pretty name." she said smiling and looking at her. "She has Sky's wings." she said laughing a little.

"Not only that but his good lucks." Ceres said wrapping her back up. "But, she has my site... She just won't be able to use the full ability until later. Makes teaching a bit harder."

Rain giggled. "I have to agree." she said smiling. "How will you be able to teach her though?" she asked a little confused. Rain sat down next to Ceres.

"There are other methods of teaching other than visual stimulus. You just don't think about it like that because you were born with the gift of site." Ceres smiled as she picked Natalia up.

"Ah." she said nodding. "How is adjusting to the baby going?" she asked curiously.

"Adjusting." Ceres smiled. "Piece of cake. No different from any of the others other than she is of my flesh... However I don't let that effect the fact that I have seven others.

"Yeah. That's good to hear." she said smiling. "May I hold her?" she asked unsure.

Ceres thought for a moment. No one had ever asked that other than Natalia's aunts or siblings. It was natural for herself, and Sky to hold her. She wondered how Natalia would react. Surely it couldn't be that terrible. She finally nodded her head. "Sure, but I don't know how she will react." She smiled as she made sure Natalia was tucked in before carefully handing her over.

"Alright." she said holding her gently. "She is so beautiful." she said smiling. Rain looked up to see Ceres. "Congrats." she said softly.

Ceres smiled. "Thank you."

Natalia fussed for a bit that it wasn't her mothers scent she smelled, that it was something different. But, she knew her mother was around, so she was easily satisfied as soon as she had a fist full of her blanket, and her thumb.

"She seems okay with you. I swear though it is that darn blanket." Ceres laughed lightly. "Giver her that and it is like the worlds best pacifier."

Rain smiled and laughed a little. "Well then I'm glad she has the blanket." she said laughing a little more. She lightly rubbed Natalia's cheek as a way to hopefully show her that she was kind. (the only way she knew how)

Natalia though she couldn't see size the lady up but feeling about with her free hand. She took notice of the ladies breasts, and that those are what made her like her mother. Her voice also let her know this, but it wasn't the same as her way of seeing. Her little hand stretched out trying to find a face.

Ceres smiled contently as she watched Natalia. "She's smarter than she lets you know." She whispered more for the adults than the little one.

"I'v noticed." she said smiling. She putting her face a little closer for her to touch. "Congrats" she said to Ceres and Sky. "You have a beautiful baby girl." she said as she lightly hummed to Natalia.

Natalia grabbed the ladies nose, and felt around her cheeks. Her fingers dragged across the lips before she felt more of the upper face. Eventually she dropped her hand back down with a bubbly gurgle.

"Thank You." Ceres smiled. Enjoying the repeated praise.

Rain smiled happily. "I just want to cuddle her!" she said laughing alittle. Rain lightly touched Natalia's hand.

"She is sugar coated when she is happy." Ceres laughed. "Just don't take her blanket."

Natalia wrapped her fingers around a couple of Rain's fingers. She brought it to her mouth, and put it into her mouth.

"I'll make sure of that." Rain said smiling and laughing as she could feel Natalia's gums on her fingers. "She likes things in her mouth?" she asked Ceres. "Are you and Sky tired from waking up to take care of her?"

"Unfortunately she does like to put a good bit of everything in her mouth." Ceres laughed as she watched Natalia. "Bad thing is that she cannot see what it is before she puts it in her mouth."

"Five out of seven grown children are still at home with me. Although, they do not constantly stay cooped up in the house all day... They help a good bit even in the night time hours. And the ones that don't live at home visit often." Ceres looped her hair around her fingers. "So, no we don't tire easily."

"That's good." she said nodding. "How is sky taking all of this?" she asked smiling.

"He's adjusting. He is use to a herd, and not one single child. It is a lot to take into perspective when you think about it." Ceres smiled as she felt Sky's hand on her shoulder. "You could speak up. I don't have to speak for you." She said as she looked him in the eye.

"Yes..." Rain said nodding. "It must be difficult." she said still nodding. "Is he going to go back to his herd?" she asked looking at Ceres.

"I plan on shortly going back, but I don't know if it will be permanent or not." Sky managed to say even though he was still slow at putting words together in English.

Ceres patted his hand that was on her shoulder. "I trust his decisions."

"Your English is a lot better Sky!" Rain said a little shocked that he had talked. "I hope that everything goes well." she said nodding. "Does the herd know about Natalia?" she asked as it popped into her head.

"There isn't much of news that doesn't get spread despite the size of the island." Sky said. "I can be a good, and bad thing as nothing it seems remains a private mater."

"Oh." she said nodding. "Do they approve?" she asked. "Seeing as how you two are different species. I've heard that people have problems with that."

Ceres and Sky both looked her over, and then laughed. "If that was the case then my other children would have had problems. We aren't as temperamental and judgmental as those not of the island." Ceres said simply with a smile.

"That's good!" Rain said smiling with relief. "That would seriously suck." she said laughing.

Ceres nodded. "It just wasn't practical to bring Sky into the clinic in the form of a Pegasus and say that we wanted to go through with in vitro fertilization..." She chuckled.

Rain smiled. "That make sense." she said laughing as she cradled Natalia in her arms.

"I enjoy this body... It just takes a bit of getting use to." Sky smiled. "And, it was a pleasure to have a child with Ceres."

Ceres blushed a little, but the attention was taken away from her as Natalia yawned. Natalia fussed a bit as her hand rubbed against her face. Ceres reached out as she saw her little one yawn. "Looks like it is about nap time."

Rain handed Natalia over to Ceres softly. "Night Natalia." she said quietly. "Aww." Rain said to Sky. "That is sweet." she said smiling.

Sky nodded his head. "I couldn't let her go with some random donor... Especially not after all she does me, and for everyone." She smiled as he touched his daughters cheek.

Ceres smiled as she leaned back against Sky. She cradled Natalia so she could easily fall asleep to her mothers rhythm.

"You three look so cute together." she said smiling.

"Thank you." They said together with a bit of rose color in their cheeks.

Rain laughed. "has your feelings changed at all?" she asked smiling.

Ceres' rose turned darker. "We've accepted how we feel, but we don't really discuss it. We are still trying to figure out our ground."

"Oh." she said nodding. "Well..." she said putting her hands on her knees. "Want something to drink?" she asked Ceres and Sky. "I need some coffee. She said walking towards the vending machines.

"We're find thank you." Ceres smiled. "We always bring a bag of goodies. And, really we should get going soon. I know I haven't gotten much time left."

"Oh." rain said smiling. "See you later then?" she said

"I hope we meet up again soon." Ceres smiled, and with Sky's help she stood up.

"Me too." Rain said as she walked off to get coffee.

Pegasus' Cookies (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and Surion Rakamash.

----

Cassara, a 'girl' of 6', held onto Natalia protectively. Her red tail splashed black at the tip thrashed idly behind her. Her ears swiveled; she was always a little to cautions. She snorted. "Mother did you seriously have to drag me along!?" She was in protest; there was a moment she really wasn't.

"As soon as I settle in the grass just outside this building you can go over to the fountain and play your violin." Ceres smiled as she settled down onto the blanket just outside of the GMFC. "I really wish you could learn to love life again..."

"Mother I do LOVE life... I just don't LOVE the life you try to force on me." Cassara handed Natalia back to her mother. "She's getting personal, and it is making me uncomfortable." She opened the violin case that she'd sat down while her mother sat the place up. "And, I'll play here... Rather than over there. I'm not going to leave you alone."

Surion was trying to sort out all the flashes of images he'd seen when he had grown, he had been ever since then. He stood looking at the GMFC building he wasn't sure he wanted to go in just yet.

He was wearing his ring from Dragono, so his horns, tail and gem were not visible. His hood was up on his cloak which put his face into shadows, Senti and Kuyl in their normal spots on his shoulders as he contemplates. He did not notice the group on the grass up to this point.

Cassara raised her head as her ears perked to full attention. She was already overly cautious about herself, but add her family... It wasn't a good combination. At the moment she couldn't loosen up, or more so she wouldn't allow herself. Her violin dropped to her side, as she spun a frantic circle. She took several deep breaths.

"What is the matter?" Ceres said unable to make out what Cassara was seeing because of her unease and quick movement. "If you'll just calm down."

"JUST CALM DOWN!" Cassara blurted out. "That is just asking for trouble..." She rubbed her temple with her freehand throughly urked but her mothers calmness of the mater.

Surion's keen hearing picks up the conversation, his head turning to look in their direction, he does not lower his hood, which under a black cloak could still seem ominous with half of his face still in the shadows and also half of it covered by his long midnight blue hair, most of his long hair trapped within his cloak.

Ceres laid Natalia on the blanket, and then slowly stood up. "You are having a panic attack." She put her hand on her daughters shoulder. "Breath..." She herself took a deep breath to show her what she meant. "It is easy."

Cassara's ears laid back. "This is ridiculous..." She said as her eyes slipped shut. "Happy place." She whispered as she could hear her violin music playing in her head.

He turns wandering towards the group, his cloak moving around him like it was a part of him. He'd not seen someone having a panic attack, he didn't know if it was something that help would be needed for. He did however recognize at least two of the group which he was approaching.

Cassara looked her mother in the eyes. "I owe you nothing..." He said crossing her arms. Her tail slapped against the earth before curling around on of her legs.

"Of course not." Ceres settled back down. "It is was mothers do after all... And, often without appreciation... Now if you wouldn't mind. Please be my eyes. They are the only pair I have."

Cassara nodded her head.

Surion stops near them and looks down at the group "Hello again" his voice was a bit deeper then the last time he had sat and visited with the woman. But then that also had something to do with his growth.

Senti starts chittering he easily remembers the infant and the meat-giving woman and he loved anyone who gave treats... Especially to him.

Cassara spun to quickly in step that her tail swung carelessly into her mothers arm. To busy sizing up the man who had approached. From what she gathered Ceres' knew this person.

Ceres groaned at the force that had hit her, but thankfully it was a battle ready attack. "Keep that thing to yourself... You're not some little..." She stopped when she finally caught site of what Cassara saw.

Surion's brow raises once more when Ceres stops mid sentence. "I'm sorry I did not mean to startle you" he lifts his hands and lowers the hood of hic cloak, he looked a lot like a normal human, all of his draconic features still hidden.

"Not startle, just embarrassment. We are acting like siblings instead of mother daughter..." Ceres chuckles. "And Cass pick your jaw up. You dropped it." She teased her daughter. "Remember girlies only for you."

"MOTHER!" Cassara used her hand to slap Ceres on the shoulder. They knew it was playful, but anyone else probably wouldn't have. "That's... That's..." She snorted. "Call me Vlad!" She couldn't retort without embarrassment so she shifted conversation.

He chuckles hearing the explanation given to him by Ceres. "It is nice to meet you Vlad, I'm Surion" he introduces himself to the one he did not know of the group

"Pleasure." Cassara tried not to snarl. Though men could be pleasing to the eye she did not like most of them in the least. Not to mention she was still slightly embarrassed. "Well mother you've got another pair of eyes..." She was suddenly more uncomfortable than previous. "I'm going else where..."

"I do not use without permission Cassara..." Ceres said evenly. "I would appreciate if you would stay." She patted the grass. "Have a seat... You have grown Surion, and handsomely at that."

Surion listens for a moment, he could sense the uneasiness. After a couple moments he moves to sit on the grass, but not too near the the uncomfortable redhead. "Yes, I did grow" he plays with the ring on his middle right finger "It wasn't a entirely pleasant experience, and left me with much confusion" he admits as Senti slips off his shoulder, once again interested in the infant.

Natalia gurgled as she felt the critter. She refused to let go of her blanket as she rolled onto her stomach, and searched about.

"Growing pains are taste of what 'mothers' suffer to bring children into this world." Ceres winked. "Makes you appreciate all they've done for you."

"Would you stop spouting nonsense..." Cassara huffed. "You're full of it, not need to make sure everyone else is." She paid special attention to her sibling now that something was near her.

"You're tongue is to forked for your own good Vlad..." Ceres said sadly. "If I could take or even ease your pain I would." She twirled her fingers in her hair. Rarely did she feel this way. The way Cassara was, it hurt sometimes. She never understood what she did wrong.

Senti moves around the infant looking it in the face, he was chittering happily and did nothing that would be considered hostile or mean at all, he was more curious then anything.

Surion chuckles "I suppose so, I seem to grow in spurts, I can say however that the two girls who happened to be there wanted me to... do it again."

Natalia finally found something, and though she didn't know what it was she gave it a soft squeeze. She gurgled happily having hold of the 'things' tail.

"You are rather handsome. I wouldn't be surprised with time if you have a group of giggling girls swooning over you." Ceres chuckled. "It is natural, and nature..." She let out of a sight sigh missing Sky's company. He was far easier to travel with, and despite wanting to deny it she missed him.

Cassara rolled her eyes. "Mother, you are transparent..."

Senti starts chittering even more, his long tail loosely wrapping around his tail around her hand. All Surion heard in his head was /Cute cute cute cute cute cute cute/

"At this point I've not seen more then a couple young girls. And all they wanted to see was me growing larger. I haven't really gone out much, I saw... things... when I grew I am not familiar with, so it gave me more to think about" he replies.

Natalia squealed in delight, and continued to 'play' with the critter. She felted it over becoming familiar with what she was playing with.

"Full of yourself aren't you..." Cassara snorted. "Thinking that they want to see you." She shook her head as she laughed.

"Hold that tongue of your Vlad... It is you who is full of yourself." Ceres said with a sigh. "If this is that much of a burden go on... I'll manage."

Senti ignored most of his surroundings.

"I'm not full of anything, they asked me to repeat it" he states bluntly to the redhead before returning his attention to Ceres. "Have you yourself been keeping well?" he wanted to take the attention off of himself.

Cassara rolled her eyes. "Whatever..." She stood up, and walked off.

"I miss him." Ceres whispered.

Surion raises a brow, the only visible brow "Miss who?" he inquires as his eye follows the redhead's departure for a moment before returning to supervising the chittering dragonette who was still acting very curious and looking at Ceres.

"Sky..." Ceres said longingly. "When you truly love someone you are willing to set them free." She felt along the ground now having no eyes at all to use. After some time, with some frustration she found her bag. "He runs with them, and I don't know if he'll come back..."

Natalia not knowing what she was feeling, or playing with put the dragoneetes tail in her mouth. She gurgled happily. Having no teeth she could cause no harm.

"The gentleman who was with you last time is.. gone?" He asks with some confusion. Surion watches her fumble for her bag

Senti moves even closer licking the baby's nose with his little tongue.

Kuyl lifts his head lazily and then slips into Surion's lap.

Natalia rolled onto her back, pulling the critter up to her chest. She gurgled enjoying what she thought was a toy.

"God I wish I had Cassara's eyes." Ceres said as she searched her bag a little more reckless than normal. She sighed at the question. "Sky has other responsibilities. Ones he didn't tend to while he was busy tending to me his pregnant... What ever I am."

Ceres pulled out a container. "Please tell me is this my sandwich. I wanted to give him a treat." She smiled. "I feel so helpless right now because of my daughters hot headed temper."

The dragonette was enjoying himself, he'd not had much experience with little ones to this point, but it was obvious he was good with them.

"Whats wrong with your eyes?" Surion asks with wonder understanding the fact of responsibilities to care for "I hope he's back for you, if he cares about you I"m sure he will be... As for a sandwich... it looks like it."

"I cannot see for myself... But, I can see through the eyes of others. I've also got the ability that I can see what people have seen previous. I don't invade, so off the island I am pretty much blind without an escort." Ceres said with a nod of her head. With touch alone she felt around the package, and opened it. She separated the bread, and put the meat on the lid.

"And, Natalia isn't Sky's first child... He is a stallion." A smile tugged a the corners of her cheeks. "We pretty much grew up together... So It doesn't bother me at all." She put the container back together and sat it to the side. "I have faith that he'll return to me even if I cannot offer him sex..."

Senti's attention leaves the infant when the scent of meat fills the air, this time Kuyl's attention is drawn to it as well, both dragonettes looking at the meat, almost as if to ask 'is that for me'

"Were you born without sight? or is that due to not being on the... island?" He smiles seeing the smile playing at the female's lips.

"I was born blind. Maidens of the Isle are born this way. When we are of age with the gift of our mirrors, we get the gift of 'site'. It isn't easy at first to use, but in time is very useful."

Ceres scooted the lid forward. "Come on. I know you want it." She chuckled. She didn't feel them in her lap or in the grass around her, so she knew they were hesitating.

The pair of dragonettes left their locations, Senti's tail unwrapping from the infant's hand as he moves for the meat.

"I see, I've never heard of this before, I don't think I'm familiar with the island you speak of" He relaxes as he watches them, he was playing with his ring and thinking.

Natalia gave an unhappy gurgle at her displeasure of her 'toy' leaving her.

Ceres felt around her for Natalia. When she felt the baby she carefully picked her up to comfort her. "The Isle is hidden. It is a Bermuda Triangle of sorts." Ceres chuckled. "Occasionally travelers stumble upon it, but other than the accidentalness the only way in and out is my mirror, and the ones that I have created. The created ones are weaker because they are not for made for a maidens use."

Both dragonettes contently dig into the meat talking to each other in their own language.

"Oh I know how that one goes, I've been in places that are hidden...." he stops rather abruptly wondering where that info came from. He did not know what caused him to remember this, for as much as he was trying he could not think of WHERE these places were.

Ceres chuckled. "My island has places that are still unfamiliar to even me. And, I am one of the oldest maidens..." She sat Natalia back down now that she was calm once more.

"Theres always things that we find that are new, or at least feel or seem new" he was replying and listening but looking off in another direction. "You said you were in your 400s biologically... right?"

"Yes. 450 years to be exact. Although I could have forgotten a few over time." Ceres' cheeks colored a bit. "But, it is understandable to loose a few things here and there with as much as I've been around."

Cassara looking a bit weary returned. Her clothing was a bit askew, but nothing to draw caution to her. She slumped into a heap next to her mother. There wasn't much she could say to her mother. She knew she had been in the wrong, but she wouldn't have admitted it.

The dragonettes return to either his lap or his shoulder as the redhead returns

"I can understand that, 450 years is a very long time, I'm not even three yet I cant imagine 450 years." He looks up as the redhead returns "Welcome back" he welcomes her with a nod.

"Button your shirt..." Ceres said evenly. She didn't have to see Cassara to know her appearance changes. "Please." She added.

Cassara gave a look at her mother, and buttoned the top couple of buttons covering up her wrapped chest. "Afraid someone will look?" She snorted.

"It is called manors..." Ceres said as she pursed her lips. She then returned her attention back to Surion. "You've got a lot of living left to do then. Where my life is nearly over now that Natalia is born."

Surion watches the pair of them as they talk back and forth. "Nearly over?" the look on his face turns from amused to purely confused, How was her life almost over, after all her child was still an infant.

"When she is old enough to use her mirror and her abilities my life cycle will be complete." Ceres sighed softly. Most maidens live long enough to seduce a male, have a child, and see them to their coming of age. I just had a child very late in life." She continued to hold a smile. It was apparently that she was completely at peace with these facts. "I am old, and tired... As I know Sky is."

"Wow..." Surion was a mite bit dumbfounded by how serene Ceres sounded by these facts. "You are about as old as many of the average elders of the Kersal... "

Ceres chuckled. "I could have lived longer had I not chosen to give birth. But I was empty, and it is what I wanted." She stretched a bit. "I wouldn't mind giving Sky all of me, but frankly I'm down right scared..."

Cassara looked at her mother. "Yet you allow the man to sleep next to you in nothing more than the few pieces of cloth you two manage to wear..." She rolled her eyes. "I really don't see how you could be telling the truth."

"Whoa, whoa I really dont need to hear that arguement Vlad" Surion puts his hands up.

"Thank you." Ceres said a little colored. "This child never learned modesty or manors." She sighed shaking her head a little.

Cassara snorted as she raised her tail and let it thrash angrily at the ground. "Give it up mother... How in the house with seven hormonal children can you still act as if sex doesn't exist."

"It is called privacy, and modesty. It is also why I ask each of you to keep your doors open when you are home... So I know you are not doing any of those types of things."

Surion shakes his head slowly, oh the joys of open-minded youngsters. "As much as that may be Vlad... I am not sure your mom wants someone she barely knows to know that fact"

Cassara's ears laid back as her eyes narrowed. "She has absolutely nothing to hide... Features included." She motioned to her mothers dress attire.

"Please... Just go. You've said enough." Ceres fully colored covered her face. "I'll be fine without you. And, if you are concerned just send another sibling to escort me." She sighed.

"Maybe not, but this isn't your home either so I can see why she is hoping you are a little less... blunt" He pulls the ring off pocketing it his true appearance becoming obvious, though his wings were folded inside of him still.

Ceres could see everything via Cassara's eyes. "Cassara don't... you."

Cassara's skin went from flaming flesh red, to scale coated. She let out a blood curling cry as her human form shift. Large claws extending where nails once were. Her face narrowed and extended allowing for her muzzle to form. She kept her wings folded. She may have been considered petite, but she was still fairly large. "Go ahead buddy. Bring it on!" She lowered her head, showing a longer set of horns.

Ceres fumbled as she grabbed the baby. She couldn't see that well now that her escort was in this form. She quickly scooted away from her. Trying to keep out of the path of her angry tail.

Surion shakes his head "I'm not fighting anyone, so you can chill out" He sets a hand on the grass and leans to one side putting his weight on his hand "This is just a world I don't have to hide my appearance if I dont want to... Unlike where I live."

Ceres still panting, a bit of fear evident her eyes. This wasn't the island where she had a thousand pair of eyes and could get out of the way her children's shifting bodies. "You are such a total a** Cassara." She was trying to cry. "Did you think nothing of Natalia and of myself... You know damn well I'm vulnerable."

Cassara snorted puffs of exhaust out of her nose. She still sized the man up. She folded her legs under her, and settled down in the grass. "I had you mom... I may be hot tempered, but I'm not..." She dug her nose into the grass when she was how her mother looked. She looked like a hatching again.

"You have a very.... interesting family Ceres" Surion muses watching the exchange. He frowns slightly "You ok Ceres?"

"You haven't met the half of them." Ceres said weakly as she tried to straighten herself out. "I'll be alright... I just panicked is all." She was trying to be modest about the situation. "I wish I could a couple more sets of eyes... It would make things easier on my behalf."

Natalia gurgled as if it had all been a game.

"Good to hear you will be all right" he watches the form of Vlad, "You definitely have a challenge... I cant say that I have any children... Just me, and mom."

"When you say handful... If only you knew." Ceres laughed, but it was short lived. "Did you tear the blanket..." She huffed. "And squish the bag under that form of yours? Because I sure as hell know you tore your clothes." She cradled the infant.

Cassara continued to nuzzle her nose into the dirt. It was as if someone had taken a marker on her forehead and written guilt.

"Well I can say she probably squished your bag, not sure about tearing the blanket... Are you yourself all right?" Surion looks Ceres and the infant over with his eyes, only to check for such.

"I am pretty sure we are okay. I feel okay, and she sounds happy..." Ceres smiles to be positive about the situation. "The only thing that worries me is that my body isn't properly covered." She cleared her throat.

Cassara lifted her nose, and shook it clean. Licking the rest clean with an amazingly long tongue. Finally calm enough her scales started to retreat.

"There is some clothing in the bag if you can manage to get your big butt off of it. But the problem being he'll see everything if you shift back."

Surion laughs suddenly "I can turn around... if Vlad wishes to be... humanoid again."

"It is my mother who is modest..." Cassara said as she managed to gain control over herself. "What is embarrassing is the fact I am not so adolescent teen anymore."

When Cassara surveyed the ground Ceres reached for the bag. She quickly with one hand dug out some clothing. "Just a simple t and jeans... I've got no..." She said aloud. "Wait... yes I do. Just not underwear."

Cassara rolled her eyes. "Figures."

Surion closes his eyes, and when he did he had a flash of a image of a building and he frowns. He knew that building, or at least he was sure he did... He opens his eyes once more but looks away from them, he was completely distracted from the pair

"No wonder you two get along... Modesty boy here." Cassara rolled her eyes as she slipped on her jeans. She looked pretty much male now, but still she wrapped her chest.

"You are rude Cassara... No wonder you have few friends." Ceres retorted. "Are you alright Surion... You look distracted."

Surion does not reply immediately and when he does he is still staring away in the same direction "I think so... I just keep having flashes of images of places and things and people... I don't know them but I do I think... I don't know"

"I could..." Ceres startled, but quickly halted herself. Would the other 'trust' her still if she told him just how she could potentially be of help to him. She sighed softly. "...help you." She finally added. Though the add on gave little to no information.

Surion's head snaps forward to look at her "Help me? how?" he was confused, mind you it did not help he was completely unaware of hte powers the woman had.

"I do not tell many..." Ceres closed her eyes. "For it can easily be abused or disintegrate trust." She spoke in near haunting tones. She was so close, yet so distant. "If you allow me not only can I see through your eyes and what you currently see... But, I can see things you have seen." She took a moment as if making sure to word it correctly. "I cannot promise you that you'll like what I see, or even find it useful..." She opened her eyes. "I never ever do so without permission..."

Cassara snorted. "Kinda like you shifted through my mind to find out what happened that day when I returned home looking like a rag doll." It hurt still to this day to remember that ordeal.

"You are my daughter... I will go to any means necessary to care for you. It is my duty." Ceres said simply.

Surion spent several silent minutes as what she said sunk in and he thought about what she was offering. He knew there at one point was something in this world for him, but he did not know what, and the images he saw, especially being only flashes of still images left him very confused. He licks his lips just thinking, and he was unsure but at the same time he wanted at least SOME answers... "All right...." he says quietly.

"My offer will stand for when ever, if ever you choose to use it." Ceres used her hand to brace herself as she stood up with Natalia. She swept herself off, and then rested the kid on her hip. "My time draws near..." She smiled softly.

"If ever you wish to get a hold of me just tap your mirror... I always know when someone is calling. Though please make sure your bathroom is safe as that is the room I end up in most." Ceres chuckled.

Cassara rolled her eyes. "At least it isn't the bedroom... during moments that as you say are meant to be private." She grabbed her mothers things, her shredded clothes, and the container of bread.

"All right, let me put a little more thought into it... and i'll either contact you, or like today, we'll run into each other" he too stands up, the dragonettes seemed to sense his movement before it happened and are both on his shoulders before he even finishes standing.

"Oh, and..." Ceres dug around her bag. She pulled out some cookies that were in the shape of Pegasus'. How they remained uncrushed would remain unsolved for she wouldn't share her secret about her bag. "For you... Nearly forgot. They've been in there... But I promise they are as fresh as if I baked them yesterday."

Surion takes them, raising a brow as he did "For me? Thanks" he smiles "I'm sure they will be great."

Ceres smiled. "Until we meet again." She said as she pulled out her mirror. Seriously this bag had all that, and still more that she hadn't even used. "Well then everyone ready..." And, like that the group vanished.

Surion watches them disappear, his visit with her had once again left the male with much to think about. After a moment he pulls his ring out slipping it on once more before pulling his hood up once more and heads away from the clinic.

Unease

----

Ceres stood in front of the window. Outside it was a heated summers day with much to do, but she cared little at the moment. She was empty, and an uneasiness crept inside her. It was quickly spreading, and it felt as if someone had taken her heart, and gave it a firm captivating squeeze. Rarely did she feel like this.

Ceres pressed her hand against the glass as she let out sigh. She felt alone. Something that a year ago would have no bothered her. But, since she had let Sky into her heart, even into her bed even if just to sleep she'd come to rely on him. She knew now that it wasn't pregnancy that caused her love for the blue haired one.

"Come home to me..." Ceres said with an ache in her heart. Never in all her years could she remember a time when he had not been around. Perhaps now that is why his abscess caused her pain. A tear trickled down her cheek. "... to us." She was talking to no one except herself.

Ceres dropped her hand, and rubbed it against her arm in worry. She knew he had responsibilities, but couldn't he at least show himself. Was he having second thoughts, and this sudden abrupt need to return a way of saying so. "Distance..." She whispered a tear trailed down her cheek.

Natalia shifted uneasily in her sleep, and started to fuss.

Ceres sucked in a breath as she turned away from the window. She had to be strong. Never could she show weakness... She'd done enough of that while caring Natalia. Her fists clenched. "Do you not care?" She whispered to herself before heading swiftly down the hall. She was only making matters worse by turning over, and over these thoughts in her head.

First Steps

----

A large fluffy blanket with woven horses was spread out in the grass under the large ancient tree in the front yard. Natalia was close to the edge busy exploring the grass and surrounding area with her hands and mouth. Her tail swished carelessly at the little knats. She seemed relatively happy for the moment.

Ceres made sure to keep her blanket next to Natalia at all times. She never realized how fussy someone could get when they have the item that could offer them the most comfort. She kept a watchful eye on the distance. Though she knew that danger rarely happened.

Natalia's hands flailed as he gurgled. Her nose twitched as she sneeze. She rolled onto her belly, and felt around for that familiar feeling, smell. It took her several good minutes before she found her blanket. She put her thumb in her mouth, and snuggled up. This location had the perfect combination for a nap; sun, shade, light breeze.

Ceres smiled softly as she began to hum to help ease her child into slumber. She knew that at this age she probably didn't need any help at all, but it was nice for a mother to feel needed. She brushed her hand over her daughters cheek.

Ceres herself stretched, and laid back on the blanket. She too could use a good nap. She'd gotten use to leisure during pregnancy, so since in rushing back to hectic.

Ceres' eyes flutter as he felt hair air against her face. "You came home." She yawned as the fuzzy blue figure came into focus. As her feature settle a smile formed.

"Did you ever doubt me?" Sky said in equine. He whinnied as he fold his legs under himself. "I'm sorry I took so long." His ears swiveled, and his tail flicked.

"I'm just happy you are home to stay..." Ceres patted him on the muzzle, and scooted closer to him now that he was settled. "You are home to stay aren't you?"

Sky nodded his head. "Yes, I know this is home. I know now what must be done. I am more man and equine... My heart knows this. And, thus I make take on new responsibilities." He said as he nuzzled her. "I don't want to forget what I was born as, and use to be..."

Ceres nodded her head, but before she could say anything Natalia woke up with a fussy cry. She rolled onto her back. Her hands rubbed against her face as she yawned. What had woken her.

Sky stretched his neck, and nuzzled Natalia. He snorted softly against her skin, and whinnied. "Rest well?" He chuckled happy to see his daughter again. This kid was different from the other. There was more of a bond, more of a commitment to her.

Natalia felt upwards, then forwards as she looked for where the sound was coming from. Despite it being equine not only did she understand but she recongized who it was. She gurgled as her hands found his muzzle.

"That's right..." Sky nuzzled Natalia. "Daddies home." He was thrilled at her laugher as his mane tickled her tiny form.

Natalia's fingers tangled in his mane delighting in the feel. She knew he was hers, and the he was wrapped around his little finger (or hove at the moment).

"I missed you to." Sky said before licked her arm. He was careful that his movements remained fluent. He didn't want to startle his daughter. And, he knew that could easily be accomplished with her having no site.

When Natalia dropped her hands content at his return Sky stood up. He watched to stretch a bit before retiring. This set Natalia off. She didn't want him to go. She reached out grabbing his tail. The firm grip stated 'mine'!.

Sky looked over his shoulder at her. "Daddy isn't going anywhere but in the house to curl up for a cat nap, so that I can shift back later on." He laughed through his whinny. He took a step forward hoping to 'shake' her.

Natalia didn't care in the slightest what he had to say of the water. She continued to hold onto his tail. With each slow step forward she was forced into standing up. Very short legs equal very wobbly newborn.

"Natalia..." Sky said it the most none irritated voice he could muster. He looked to Ceres to see a look of shock as she kept her mouth covered. Well, at least he knew why she wasn't saying anything... To shocked. But, shocked over what. He again looked over his shoulder to see his daughter standing.

Now he knew that this wasn't typical 'human' behavior. He did as Ceres and keep his shocked and joyful sounds to a minimum. She was doing realy well and he didn't want to ruin the moment. "Good girl." He said encouragingly as she took half a step to see if she could keep it.

Natalia without fear because she knew she was safe with her daddy lasted a couple steps before landing on her bottom. She gurgled in a way that said again.

Ceres clapped in delight to show her praise.

User Image

Ceres
There is hardly any time at all to sit. The days of leisure is over... Again. It comes with young children, especially when they have a 'handicap'. I'm not complaining in the slightest. I'm just really learning to appreciate my father.

User ImageI finally managed to give Natalia the little Kiwi I found stuff in the boy while I was pregnant. I had been meaning to give the little Kiwi to Natalia as her first stuffed animal, but with Sky's recent time to find himself my mind has been a bit preoccupied.

Sky is home now... The house feels complete again. It seems while he was taking time to find himself it gave me time to find myself. It gave me time to think about certain things. I do love Sky. I know it wasn't hormones, or something else... I just know.

Natalia was exceptionally happy that her daddy was home. I was amazed that she knew him in Pegasus form without being told. Then again children just have a knack for knowing their parents.

But, the most important thing was with his return she took her first couple of steps. A little soon I suppose for her having a near human body. I suppose for the Pegasus that runs through her I should have expected it. Then again with kids you never know what to expect except the unexpected.

Along with giving her the plush I gave her fitted cuffs like my own for her upper arms and ankles. They were forged with magic, and will grow with her. I am planning on piercing her ears soon, as well as fixing her tail up.

Demons and Ponies (GMFC ORP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, Sadoko Misaki, and Toshiro_Garnet.

----

It looked like a train with coupled cars as the three entered the the clinic. Sky was in the lead, with Natalia holding onto his tail, followed by Ceres who was a good ways back. She had to be since Sky was her only pair of eyes. They weren't the fasted moving group of people. Natalia was the reason for this. She was still very knew to walking, and held onto her daddy's tail as if it was the very breath she needed to live. It didn't help matters that she couldn't see a thing so she wasn't trusting enough to move from behind her daddy.

It had only been a week since she had given birth, and she already had to come in for a routine "check-up." Figuring it would look better to the public eye, Sadoko had asked Toshiro to come along for the visit. Walking in, she had her arms completely free of infants. She could have held onto one of the two carriers for the babies, but Toshiro had his pride at stake. So for now, she would take what little blessings she had and accept the break for now.

Walking in, she found a rather amusing sight. A family train. It almost sounded like a horrible TV show, like "Soul Train," but family oriented. Obviously they weren't the only family around for a check-up.

"Good evening" she greeted politely before making her way to the receptionist to sign in.

With carriers in hand and a cautious step toshiro followed behind. He seemed rather fine until he took note of the others in the lobby. Unfortunatly he had never seen people with tails that weren't demons or trouble. Somewhat rudely he stopped and stared wondering what they were doing there, though he should have known baised on where they were.

After a moment he looked away and went to move close to Sadoko. In a whisper he spoke to her. "hey... hey... theres a demon over there, right? Are demon kids normal here?"

Ceres's turned her head in the direction of which she heard the voice coming from. "Evening." She smiled as she shifted the bag on her shoulder. "How about the floor Sky?"

Sky nodded. "Alright then." His English had improved immensely, but was still a bit rough on the edges. He whickered when he felt his daughter run into him. He turned around just in time to see his daughter land on her butt.

Natalia looked shock for a moment that she had fallen. She felt the ground around her. She was searching for something that was familiar to her. No blanket, no kiwi... She started to fuss.

With a quick whisper to Toshiro, she pointed out "...not demons, or I would have noticed that before we came here. There are different creatures out there aside from what we are used to."

Glancing down to the infant on the ground, Sadoko leaned down to take a look rather than to help the infant up. A very fair child, with wings and a horse tail. Adorable, but as she had mentioned to Toshiro, it was not something she was very used to.

"How old is your child?" she asked rather plainly, instead of with a voice full of excitement.

In his carrier, Ari's red eyes looked this way and that. Why wasn't everything moving like it had been before? It was boring to see just the same stuff around him for too long.

3...2...1...

"Waaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!" This problem needed to be fixed right away!!

Toshiro just blinked and then went to stare at the others again. If not demons what were they? Just to be on the safe side he was going to move to the other side of the room but then one of the children started to cry. Oh no! His eyes glanced down to the child to see if anything was visibly wrong. "Shhh... its ok..." At least he assumed things were. Rather carefully, or perhaps over carefully, he moved the children and their carriers to a corner then stooped down over Ari to inspect him again. "Did you go poopie?... or are you hungry..." He bit his lip and glanced over to Damien who seemed rather content still.

In lack of a pacifier Damien had taken to sucking on the ear of of a small raccoon plush that Toshiro had given him. It seemed to have some sort of interesting flavor; spit. "noom noom."

"Natalia is just a day over a week old." Ceres smiled not looking in any particular direction as she knelt down to help Natalia. "...Her learning to walk was purely accidental." She said as she shifted through her bag.

Sky was busy trying to keep her occupied until Ceres could find the blanket and the kiwi. He looked around when he heard the others. "It is like a chain reaction..."

Natalia looked far from happy. Mater of fact her expression looked more of gas than displeasure of her items. But don't let that fool you, she was angry that her items were missing.

Rather quick in her observations, Sadoko asked "Do you suspect it is probably because she has some sort of equine in her blood?" She remained close and watching the child further. The girl couldn't help but wonder if she should offer to burp the poor infant or not. After a few more moments, she finally stood up again and finished signing in.

"I suppose I should tend to whichever one of mine is hollering right now..." she casually mentioned as she turned to walk over to the waiting room.

As quickly as his crying had started, it soon enough ended. There was now a face right in front of his. That was something interesting indeed. With his small and chubby hands, the infant attempted to make a grab for that big thing in the middle (also known as a nose). However, he still wasn't too good with that hand-eye coordination thing.

"Aaa! Aaa!"

Since the child settled down Toshiro glanced over towards Sadoko as she spoke with the other people. What was an equine? Being uneducated such was a mystery to the boy. His head tilted to the side as he stared over towards them again, even as Sadoko approached. Instead of his face the chain attaching his earrings dangled down over Ari.

No matter how much he sucked on the ear the flavor didn't change and he didn't feel any fuller. What a strange thing. Oh well... There were other things to taste, like his fingers, but first the raccon had to go. Taking ahold of it he gave it a push to make it go away and out it tumbled from the carrier. Horray! "Gweeeaah!~" The child squealed at his achievement.

"Yes." Ceres said to multiple things. Mainly that she found the blanket, and kiwi. But, also to the fact that her daughter had equine. "Her father has a good bit of Pegasus..."

"Good bit." Sky snorted. "I wasn't able to shift human till 9 months ago." He was estimating as it was easier than giving exactly dates. His expression was soft as always when Natalia was present.

Natalia felt the fabric touch her hands, and she immediately snatched it from her mother. Next thing she did was insert her thumb in her mouth. She was content now to stay put.

Casually, Sadoko picked up the raccoon from the ground and glanced back to the couple and child. It did make sense, since the infant had some feathers on her back as well. Nodding her head, she took a seat.

"Toshiro," she started in a whisper, "equine means 'horse'..." His evident confused expression and rather simple mind were sometimes a bit easy to predict. Holding onto the toy in her lap, she then glanced at the two relatively quiet infants.

"Toshiro, you also are going to want to be careful about that..."

"Aaaaa!!!!" Ari's chubby little fingers managed to get something small in it. Maybe it wasn't that big thing in the middle of the head, but it was still nice to touch.

Happy with his accomplishment, he began to try and wave his closed fist up and down.

"Aaa, aaa, aaaa!!!" Such a happy baby at the moment, considering that he was most likely causing someone else a bit a pain.

"ooohh..... that makes sense now... I watched some TV that showed horses walking like really quick after being born even" His eyes then went to the woman. "I also like saw this thing on another channel with women really liking horses ... you know and th- ggyaaaahhh owowowow" His hands were tempted to swat at what was pulling on his earring chain but he knew that it was just a baby. "no no no... bad... ow..." His left eye watered a bit as he went to try and get the baby to open his hand and let go. "Ari... st-top that hurts..." Perhaps such was for the best since what he was about to talk about really wasn't appropriate for anyone.

"Squeee~" What funny noises the big man was making. Seeming quite amused the child began to giggle and his cheeks grew rosie.

Ceres cleared her throat glad that the conversation ended when it did. She couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the man. "Would you like a hand. I have a moment." She smiled politely.

Sky noticed Natalia still had the look of gas. He carefully lifted her and her things. He positioned her so he could properly pat her back.

Slobber dribbled out of Natalia's mouth as she gurgled. She thought daddy was playing a game despite the loud burp that slipped from her.

"no... I got it... I think..." Despite what he said he really didn't have the situation under control. He was too scared to try and pry the childs fingers off the chain in fear of hurting him somehow. "gahhh"

Still quite content Damien continued giggling away. Oh happy day~

Ceres grabbed a shiny toy from her bag. She then carefully crossed the room to where the two children and two parents were. "You've got to occupy them." She smiled, as she knelt.

Unlike his brother, Ari was not as fond of super loud sounds. He was adjusting to sounds being sharper and louder than when he was cozy in his mother's womb. Still clutching firmly onto the chain, he began to cry in poor Toshiro's ear.

Sadoko just closed her eyes and waited, since it seemed like the other mother wanted to assist. Having no qualms with such, she just waited out the storm of adult and child cries alike.

In the middle of his cries, his red eyes happened to catch upon something. Not only was it shiny, but it was pretty in color.

"Eeeaaaaaa!!" Letting go of the one item, he went from point A to point B without a problem (except for the hand-eye coordination again). Pretty, colorful thing was for him to play with. It would take a few tries again, but he'd eventually get his hand on such a distractingly wonderful thingy.

Without even opening her eyes, the dark-haired girl knew that the situation had come to a pleasant conclusion. Leaving her eyes shut, she gave the other lady a compliment: "You are pretty good with children it would seem."

"ohhhh~ Thats much better..." With his earrings now free he sat up straight and rubbed his ear a bit. "yes.. much better... Thanks..." His eyes watched as Ari played with the thing. He wondered if they had any other simmilar items at home. Next time they went out he would be sure to bring it in case of such a simmilar incident.

Hey... How come he got the shiney thing? Where was his? The smile faded and he reached out towards his brother and the shiney. "whuu?"

Sky hadn't looked int the direction of the woman, so Ceres turned her head in the direction of the voice. "I've seven grown children." She laughed lightly. "You learn to pack a bag of tricks, and goodies. And, with time you learn to add and adjust."

"Sky." She said softly. He knew he had pretty good hearing, and that she didn't need to raise her voice. "Why don't you bring Natalia over here, and my bag." She smiled. "I think we're going to need another shiny toy." She just knew that when had something both had to have it. She was just sorry she hadn't thought of it sooner.

Sky nodded his head. "Alright then." Already holding Natalia he carefully reached for the bag before standing up. After a couple minutes he was sitting next to Ceres.

"Suppose that is proof that the saying 'practice makes perfect' is very applicable here." Of course, she wasn't exactly going to mention the fact that one of her house-mates was most likely going to do most of the raising of the twins. It wasn't anybody's business but those who were directly affected.

"You are also quite kind, Miss...?" It was somewhat a hint for an introduction, which she always seemed to forget to do herself.

"Aaapppppppplllppppp!" Seeming rather content, he continued to play with the colorful thingy. Thingy, thingy, thingy, where had you been all of Ari's life? It wasn't long before it needed to be taste-tested. Afterall, it looked pretty, so it probably tasted pretty! Pulling the toy to his mouth, he began to munch on it, or rather, drool on it.

Taking a seat, on the floor, Toshiro seemed to notice that Damien was growing jealous. He couldn't help but wish he knew how to read minds... including infant minds. Did they like him? Have they even been alive long enough to know how to like someone? How strange things were. Toshiro seemed to stare off and disconnect from the world as he continued to ponder things.

"eeee..." The boy's chubby hands reached out towards his brother and his shiny thing. Now he was tasting it? oh man... it must be good! He wanted it even more now. The world was so cruel. After a sniffle he began to cry out. "waaaaaaaa...."

"I am Ceres." Ceres said with a smile as she continued to plunder through her bag. She knew it was around here somewhere. "And, his name is Sky." She thought she had it when in fact she had an empty sandwich container. "Out, daughters name is Natalia... Yours?"

"Whoa... Whoa... Look what we have here." Ceres said with a chuckle as she lifted another shiny thing from her bag. "I know. I know. Shame on me. I should have known what one has the other wants." She winked, as she gave him the toy. "This doesn't mean you'll always get your way... But, sometimes you are entitled to be spoiled by those who don't know you."

Natalia didn't know there were toys being passed about, so she was very content with her kiwi and blanket. Although, she really, really wanted daddy to put her down. She loved the comfort, the feel of his heart, but she was wide awake and wanting more stimulating activity to take place.

Sky tried to hold Natalia as she squirmed right out of arms landing on her butt. She sniffled as a startled expression crossed her face. But, then she realized that she was down, and with her things... She was happy.

"Ceres, that is a name of a celestial maiden if I recall correctly." It was a random muse that was spoken aloud, but once it was out, she then opened her eyes and proceeded with introductions upon her end.

"My name is Sadoko. The one you saved from having his earrings torn off is Toshiro. The first child you gave a toy is Ari, and the second one, the one you are giving a toy right now, is Damien."

A pause as she watched the equine-child for a moment. Something was odd about the way she held herself. Observation was something Sadoko was quite good at.

Crinkling his nose a bit, Ari seemed to dislike the noise his older brother was making. It was too loud! His shiny was keeping him quite distracted though, and distracted enough that he didn't notice his brother getting something new as well.

"Bleee!" his toy tasted good, like spit! His legs kicked slightly, seeing as he was so happy.

Toshiro was rather good at spacing out leaving the world behind on occasion. He sat there silently staring off at nothing in particular pondering questions yet seeking no answers.

Horray a shiney! Very carefully the babe clenched his chubby fingers around the object and began to shake it this way and that. Oh how it sparkled! There were no more tears now, he was indeed a happy boy.

"Though with time things get a bit watered down... I am a Celestial Maiden. Terrible things happened to my mother to cause other 'breeds' into my make up other than just that and human." Ceres sighed softly, yet contently. "I am bound to my place of birth due to curses, and the fact that over time we've become so woven into it that it is us, as much as it is apart of us." She had carefully chosen her words even if she knew the woud come out twisted. There were just some tales that just were not meant to be told in all their 'glory'.

Natalia sat there with a blank expression on her eyes. Except for her blinking, she stayed focused on the same thing. Or so her eyes said. She stretched her arms out as if looking for something. As much as she loved her blanket, and her kiwi... She was missing her toys from home.

Ceres stretched her out hand when she saw Natalia reach out. "Empty space..." She whispered. "I bet your a bit bored aren't you." She leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead. "Don't worry... We've got this covered."

Sky didn't give Ceres a chance, as he had been paying attention all along. He grinned, and started digging around in the bag. Unlike Ceres' other children who mostly enjoyed shiny, or hard toys... Natalia was different. She preferred things that were soft. Things with texture she could feel to see. Though she wouldn't pass up anything that was given to her.

With a nod, Sadoko responded without taking her eyes off the infant. "Yes, time causes things to get watered down." Afterall, she herself was the product of such watering down. Even watching the parent-child interaction was quite interesting.

"I hope not to offend, but is your child visually impaired?" It seemed that the inability for the little girl's eyes to focus on any particular object was what did it for her.

Mmmmmm. The toy was very tasty. Yet as with all good things, Ari needed a break. Growing very vaguely bored, he did as his brother had done earlier with the raccoon toy and tossed it out of his carrier. The toy landed right next to Toshiro, the space-cadet.

"Bwee!" Ari announced, very proud of his accomplishment.

Hearing the sound of the object falling on the floor seemed to get the boy's attention. He had done well to zone out the conversation going on but somehow the toy was just something out of place. His eyes connected to the toy and then he simply picked it up. "hm?" Finding that it was what Ari was holding he attempted to return it to the boy thinking he had dropped it. "here you go..." Afterwards he he glanced up to the person whom had given the boy in the first place. "So... Do you people come here a lot for check ups? Is that normal or do you have a special case?" Though he enjoyed going out he wasn't looking forward to having to come in for regular check up often. He had to wear shoes and shirts to come along... such a hassle...

"bmm bmm bmm" Damien's chubby hand continued to waggle his shiney object to and fro. His own eyes seemed to sparkle in amazement at the toy.

"Yes, she is visually impaired... At the moment." Ceres felt the need to add the last part before venturing forth into the rest of it. "But, when she is is of age she will be able to use the eyes of others as I do."

Sky handed Ceres a toy that was noisier than the ones she'd given the boys. He knew Natalia wouldn't like it any other way. She only loved her kiwi and blanket because it was her comfort, and it was hers.

"Where I came from I am not limited in what I can see. I can see from one end of the island, to the other." Ceres said as she looked from Sky to Natalia. She rattled the metal ring bells with rings softly in front of her face. "But, here I have only Sky's eyes because I do not use eyes without permission."

Her mothers voice trailed from her ears as she heard the bells. Natalia grabbed at the thing, and missed a couple of times. Finally she was successful. She began to laugh happily. She bounced a bit as her arms moved rapidly so that toy would make more noise.

"I come here a lot not really for the checkups but for the company. I want to make sure Natalia in her later years will have people whom she can call friends, and learn to trust." Ceres and Sky both laughed a moment as they watched Natalia. "Because where we come from there aren't but two other humans besides ourselves (including her seven grown children), and we count them as family..." She paused for a moment. "There is another... My mother and father, but they are very difficult to see."

All Sadoko did was nod at the response that Ceres gave. She had no further questions herself.

Well, wonders never ceased! Here he had thrown the shiny out of the carrier to stop playing with it, and here it was again! It was almost like he had just gotten a new toy all over. Grabbing onto the colorful toy, he swung his arms about a bit and squealed happily.

"Eeeeeee!!!"

The boy nodded. "oh... friends are important..." He smiled thinking of the ones he had made over the years. His most recent ones seemed to be the most important in his life. "My dad and I used to travel a lot. During the days I got to do about anything I wanted so I got to meet a lot of people when I went out. But, I don't think I went to any places like this to make friends."

Quite content Damien continued waggling his toy about. How wonderful it was that it was so shiny. "bweeeee" For now toys were the only friends he needed or really wanted. Horray for toys!

"I can travel anywhere so long as there is a mirror. But, I choose not to unless I know something about the place. It is a security measure." Ceres said as she closed up her bag, and set it aside.

Natalia's attention span was short lived with the bells. She decided it was best not to throw, instead she sat them down. That way she would have a general idea where they were when she wanted them again. She leaned forward till she was in the position she could crawl. She felt around for something else that was familiar.

Sky looked down when he felt tiny hands grab a handful of his tail, and give it a tug. He gave a wicker as he waited to see what it was she was wanting.

Having never been one for much travel, seeing as her childhood didn't allow it, Sadoko remained relatively quiet. Going places where her feet could take her was good enough for now. It would only be a few years until she'd need to head to new places to further her career and education.

Playing would have kept Ari quite content, except for the fact his little tummy began to gurgle. It meant it was meal time. And there was only one way of letting the big people know that his tummy wanted milk.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Seeing as Toshiro was finally part of the conversation, and that she didn't want to prevent such from happening, Sadoko went to tending to dark-haired infant. Leaning over the carrier, she took a few sniffs to make certain it wasn't a dirty diaper. The air near the baby smelled quite clean. This only meant one other thing. Lofting up the infant, she grabbed the long cloth that was underneath him. It took a bit of maneuvering, but soon enough she had the cloth wrapped over the infant and her younger son was able to easily have a meal without everyone else being able to see.

Greedily, the infant began to guzzle up his meal.

Such a form of travel was instantly deemed strange by the boy. His head cocked to the side and he stared at her. "So... how does that work?" If it was easy enough he was tempted to try for himself.

Still content Damien continued playing and babbling. "eebee ebee bebbee"

"I cannot explain it... When we become of age our magic is stable enough, and thus a mirror is forged for us. It is our mirror, and if it shatters we cannot travel again." Ceres decided to leave out the part that the maidens previous to her except for her mother used them to lure men in just for child bearing purposes.

Natalia let out a squeal as she pulled hard on the tail she had in her hand. She had managed to stand, and was doing a little dance instep that was very wobbly.

Sky let out a whicker as his tail was pulled even harder. Possessive and strong... He thought mentally. "Good job." He said aloud as he offered his hand to help keep her steady.

"Responsibility, it sounds like..." Sadoko offered as a simple statement. She glanced to the side, soon enough to come across a new face of a nurse. "Sadoko Misaki!" It seemed like it was time for them to go to their appointment now.

Standing herself up while still holding onto Ari, she said her goodbyes for now. "It was nice meeting you Ceres, Sky, and little Natalia. Perhaps we will meet again, and perhaps in a less sterile location."

The little piglet didn't seem to care that his meal had gotten up and was now moving slightly. Underneath the blanket, all his needs were there, so a little movement wasn't a bad thing.

It kind of seemed unfair. Why couldn't he have a mirror that let him go wherever he wanted? Then again mirrors were usually glass and knowing his luck it would get smashed within a week. He let out a soft sigh Just as Sadoko was called over. "oop" Knowing he would have to come along he took up both carriers and followed behind. Just before getting in the door he paused and turned around. "oh yeah, bye guys..." He would have waved but his hands were both in use.

Whee~ Now he was in motion again. His eyes enjoyed taking in the passing scenery. "geeee~"

"Fare the well in your travels. May fortune smile upon you, and your family Sadoko and Toshiro." Ceres said toward the direction of the door.

Sky cleared his throat as another Nurse called their name. "I believe that is us."

Natalia
The world I cannot see my parents, siblings, and aunts say it pretty. I wonder if they sugar coat it...

The world I can hear sometimes is pretty, and sometimes isn't. My home is full of different family members. A good bit of them are noisy. But, some are so quiet you hardly know they are there. My favorite sound is my fathers whicker, and my mothers laugh.

Places my mother takes me have different sounds. Most of which I am not sure of. I have heard other children... Sometimes they sound pretty when they are laughing. But, when they begin to cry it isn't so pretty.

The world I can smell sometimes is pretty, and sometimes isn't. Flowers smell pretty most of the time, but a good bit have them have no smell at all. Food it smells interesting... I wonder when I will get some. Everyone smells different. It is how I know who is who.

I like to taste everything. Some of it tastes pretty, some of it tastes nasty. But, you don't know until you try it. Mothers milk beats grass 10 to 1. But when it comes to my toys, that is another story. I know they are mine, and that makes it all that much better.

I love that my mother decorated my tail even if I cannot see it. I sure can hear it though, and feel it. All the different ribbons some are soft, and some are fuzzy. The bells are hard, and make lots of noise. She'll know when I'm coming. All the additions are light weight so I can still swoosh it around. Darn gnats.

I know I'm safe when I can smell and hear my mother and father. As well as my siblings, and aunts.

With Natalia in our lives it seems as if time is passing by a little bit quicker than previously. I've never really paid much attention to time when it came to the other children, but this one... She is different. Maybe because she is of our flesh and blood. Not that I try to discriminate.

I'm still amazed that there is enough Equine in Natalia for her to already be walking. She hasn't let go of our tails, but I think that is more for security than confidence.

Natalia is very smart despite the lack of site. Her other senses have helped her to accommodate. She likes to feel everything, and LOVES to taste everything. And, I do mean everything. Everything goes straight to her mouth after she's held it for a few seconds.

And, while she's getting familiar with what is in her mouth she's making up her mind whether it is hers or not. If she claims it as hers you should go ahead and give it up. It isn't going to come back even if she gets board with it. She has a memory like an 'elephant' and will go looking for it later.

I am proud of our little girl, and I can hardly wait till the day she can stretch those wings, and I can teach her to touch the sky.
