[ Oh gosh, how do I help? LOL ]
Natamo, startled, opened her mouth then closed it, then gave a small smile. Obviously Shin had an attachment to Ichi, just as she had, and she ruffled his hair lightly. "I'd be honored to help you with your training," Natamo said, glancing at the paper. Clones, hm? She used her own clones for the same purpose this scroll said to, to fight...though it was usually to help her against other people, and they were usually earth clones, not shadows like Shin was probably learning. She would, however, do everything she could to help him. She did know the shadow clone jutsu, she just rarely ever used it. Looking back into the office, Natamo nudged Shin slightly and touched his nose lightly with her forefinger. "Perhaps, though, we should find a better place for this training. Somewhere outdoors, where you can really get to your full potential. After you learn this, you can find me anytime if you want to keep training." Natamo stepped out of the kage's office, and closed the door quietly, her hand on Shin's shoulder. "But I think Ichi-sama would be happy if you felt like spending time in his office sometimes...it's the first place I felt home, so I'll probably sneak in here a lot. But ssh...it'll be our secret." Ruffling Shin's hair again, she allowed him to lead her wherever he wanted to go to finish his training.

[Have Shin attack you with his clone, just so he can properly learn how to use the technique in battle. Its just the normal Bunshin no jutsu.]
A smile crossed his face as he closed his eyes while Natamo ruffled his short dusty brown hair. "Heh. Thank you, Nata-sensei," Shin said. His nose wrinkled and his cheeks slightly blushed as her finger lightly brushed up against his nose almost like a feather. The boy followed alongside her as she began to lead him out of the Kage's office with her hand on his shoulder. He couldn't help but notice that Shin was almost the same height as the woman. The boy had been so used to being with the other children and naturally being tall that he had forgotten just how tall he really was. Here was a full grown woman and he was almost her height.
"Thank you!" Shin said once again with much more enthusiasm as she offered to help him train even more. He had never thought that everyone was as giving as this woman since he had encountered Shinichi and Tenmoki as teachers. A solemn smile spread across his face as Natamo said her last little piece. "Mhm," he said, promising to keep it a secret with just a small nod, a small smile and a small confirmation.

He came into the office carrying Noburo on one outstretched arm, the two surprisingly silent that wintry evening. Well, for one, it was freaking cold, so much so that Shinichi had changed and was now wearing a winter kimono under a heavy black cloak. He had changed his stealth shoes for a pair of knee high winter boots. Even Noburo, whose species thrived in wintry condition, shivered in the frosty, bone-chilling air. Shinichi pushed open the fragile door to his office and wondered whether the flimsy structure would stand the intense winter storms coming up. Well, the office had withstood past winters so that shouldn't be a concern of his. He sighed, realizing that his mind was avoiding the issue at hand. Shinichi tried to ignore the jasmine scented room, but two seconds had not passed before his eyes clenched shut. The man hung his head and deposited Noburo onto a bookshelf, the bird squawking in protest. Sliding a hand over his aching heart, the young soldier clenched his teeth and bent over, his breathing becoming ragged. Anything to stop the pain. Please, make it stop hurting! But he was doomed to suffer until reunited with Ichi. Such was the price of a few months of happiness. Shinichi remained in the standing fetal position until he was able to grab his emotions by the horn and wrench it to the ground.
"Hayano," Shinichi croaked out his pet's nickname, "I'm sending you to aid the ones on the mainland." He pulled himself up and slid into the Kage's chair, taking out a quill and scroll. Did he want to yell at the travelers or to give them encouragement? Well, whatever he said, they weren't coming back until they found and revived Ichi. Shinichi carefully scribed a letter and motioned for Noburo to come. He slipped the letter into a weatherproof pouch and attached it to Noburo's leg. "Take this letter to Sumito-san's squad," he ordered, "Guard it with your life. They were in a hurry so they should have taken the most direct route to the Rice Country. Come back with their reply and then I'll return you to them. Good luck." Shinichi stared into Noburo's eager eyes and remembered how excited the gyrfalcon was during the last mission and how much she regretted not being able to finish off her prey. Well, she'll get plenty of chances to fight on this one. He picked a loose feather off her back and smiled, reluctant to let his friend go. But a shinobi must attend to his duties. Shinichi nodded and walked to the window, where he sent Noburo off on her mission. He watched the winter bird soar off into the distance, perhaps a little too fast for the long journey she was about to undertake, and wrapped his cloak around him to leave to attend ot other matters. He had left Ayumi with a friendly neighbor.

BakaLao grew a little quiet as they approached a modest hut made of bamboo. "This here is the Kage's office," the captain said with almost a stubborn tone to his voice. "Harada Shinichi is the 2nd Kage of Shimagakure. You won't get to meet him today since he's over in the Earth Country attending the tournament... There's quite a bit controversy concerning his position as leader of the village after the passing of Uchiha Ichi, but the village hasn't been destroyed and that's all that matters to me!" BakaLao said, trying to make light of the subject. "Tenmoki Yuki is his Anbu, she's also the principal of the academy you'll be attending. We'll meet her once we drop off your things. The apartments are right this way," BakaLao said as he began walking. "Say, boy. Do you have any questions yet? I've been runnin my old mustache mouth ever since we landed!" the fisherman said, realizing that Kolo had gotten rather quiet ever since they stepped onto the island. It was perhaps the fact that the little lad was having a hard time carrying that over-sized pack! BakaLao would slow down in order to give him a moment to adjust his grip.

Kolo did in fact have a few question... But rather than ask him right away, he took time to catch his breath and adjust his grip on his pack. He wanted to sit down, but the pack was so heavy, he didn't want to sit down and not get back up, that would be embarrassing. "What do I call the Kage? Does he have a special title?" Kyo finally asked, after is breath came back a little more. Kyo's back began to ache from being hunched over for so long.

"Kage-sama is what you should call him by," BakaLao said as he adjusted the packs that he was carrying on his shoulders. "Let's get to the apartments then. Looks like you're about to collapse," BakaLao said with a grin as the old fisherman continued up the path. "Ah, you should also call any of your instructors by 'sensei'. When you meet Tenmoki Yuki for the first time, address her as Tenmoki-Sensei and bow slightly. She'll be rather impressed since she's strict on manners," BakaLao advised the boy, knowing that Shin had already created a good name for the Nara's with the teachers of the island. "Any of your upper classmen should be called 'Senpai'. Its just a courtesy thing," the captain advised the boy as he began walking once again, but this time it was to their destination.

Kolo nodded in understanding towards the instructions he was given. 'Tenomki-sensei, sensei means teacher... So and So-Senpai... This is all so confusing....' Kolo began walking again, practicing for when he met his teacher. Relieved that he was finally going to be taking of the pack, Kolo hurried up to Bakalao so that they would get to the apartments faster. In his excitement, and while being distracted by practicing his coutesies, the pain of the pack was just a dull sensation in the back of his mind.

The night was cool. Shinichi hopped on a rooftop in one graceful bound and found a foothold on top the tiles that peered over the edge. He didn't see Yuki anywhere so surmised that she must already be in his office waiting ever so patiently for his arrival. A smirk crossed the man's lips and he did a handstand on the roof, walking slowly in the general direction of the hut. Shinichi knew he was acting immature, unprofessional even, but he was in the mood to untie the bonds that held his restrained self back. Speeding up now, the man raised himself on one hand and like a spider, fingers creeping like spindly legs, made his way gradually towards the end of the roofs that would sink towards his office. He could see that Yuki had not yet arrived, even though he was still outside, by the way the door stayed in the position he left it this morning. "Ten-mo-ki-ki-ki!" Shinichi called, imitating the cicadas that were still crawling out of whatever hole they dug for the winter. He *should* be thinking of business and samurai, but well, it was a nice night. Another smirk. The Kage was glad Tenmoki was there to keep him on track when he wasn't feeling too serious, a rare occasion indeed.

Yuki had turned to speak with Shinichi as they left the clinic, but he was nowhere to be found. The woman was not in the mood for dealing with unreliable men. If he did not want to follow her, then she would just decide on the issues at hand herself. As if there weren't more issues on hand, Yuki had bumped into Prodo on her way to the office and he had told her of some rumors he had heard from the sailors at the bar. "Dammit," Yuki murmured under her breath as she approached the Kage's office. Opening the office door, Yuki slammed it behind her before making her way to the Kage's room. As she took out scrolls and slammed them on the desk, she heard a wavering voice say her name. With a raised eyebrow, Yuki looked to the window to see Shinichi's upside down with a smirk on his face. "What the ********>!" Yuki shouted, slamming both her hands on the desk out of pure frustration. Here was the man that Ichi had chosen over her. The man that had attempted to commit suicide, attempted to starve himself to death, killed a Meho Warlord and brought war to Shimagakure, a man who had no compassion when it came to training and a man who seemed to be out of his right mind. Was he suffering from some time of insomnia now that was spinning him into insanity? Yuki just couldn't put up with it. The village couldn't put up with it. Already Shimagakure was fading and Yuki knew what the cause was.
"Harada Shinichi!" the woman yelled, her green eyes turning into hard emeralds and she turned to glare at the man. "There are Samurai slaughtering our supporters and threatening our allies. There are Hyuuga's being kidnapped on the mainland. Ichi is still set in stone. The village shinobi roster is dwindling by the day and not to mention the warlord you so-called killed and started a war over is back among the living!" The woman shouted slamming her open palms against the desk SO HARD that the legs of the desk broke and it crumbled slightly to the ground. "If you are in a state of mania due to some type of insomnia or just plain ******** nuts tell me now, because I am MORE than ready to become Kage," Yuki stated as she began taking steps towards the man hanging upside down. "Shimagakure, Ichi's dream, is fading due to YOUR lack of sanity and leadership," Yuki hissed in a brash whisper as she nearly came eye to eye with the man, standing up as tall as she could to try and meet him. "I suggest you pull it together right now before I challenge your position," the woman threatened, now more than ever thinking that perhaps Ichi had made a mistake in choosing Shinichi over her as Kage. "I am more than willing to tell the entire world that Ichi made a mistake naming you the next Kage and was swayed purely by his infatuation by you!" the woman added in wish that at this moment Shinchi would just hand over the title and the village to her. She knew that she could do much better than him! There was no more doubt in her mind that an emotional woman would be a better leader for this village over an unstable and insane man.

Shinichi's eyes turned cold as he righted himself and straightened, yet kept a small smile on his face. Dear Yuki, always so tense. "Relax, Tenmoki-san," he said gently, processing the information she'd given him while at the same time trying to calm her fired nerves. He knew he couldn't use charisma so Shinichi decided to try pure logic. Even an agitated Yuki would listen then. "I'm not planning on running away from those issues," the man said firmly, brushing past her to examine the desk she'd broken. He shook his head in pity and set the desk down so it wouldn't disturb their meeting. "See what happens when we get too riled up? Now we'll have to replace this desk... which cuts into what little war operational funds we have." He turned around and pulled up a chair for both of them, inviting her to sit down. "Now, we're going to talk about all this rationally," Shinichi insisted firmly, going on even if Yuki had something to scream at him, "Whether we decide something this minute or the next, these problems will still be occurring. We both know either of us could be Kage and you know I would just as soon abandon the title, save for the fact that this isn't about me and it isn't about you. Challenging me would only break apart what harmony we have. It's needless since I have you advising every step of the way. And don't even think about wasting time telling people that the great Ichi made a mistake. You really think that'll help our situation?" Shinichi rose on his elbows, his eyes meeting her and daring the emotional woman to refute his points. Yes, he was insane, but that had not impacted his job so far. The man's eyes narrowed as he picked up on the fact that Yuki felt a great deal of frustration over her rival being chosen for Kage, especially a man she felt was unworthy. This was an important fact to keep in mind when dealing with her.
"Now, start over from the beginning," he ordered, head a tad light from trying to make sense of all this. Word obviously traveled faster than that rickety old fishing boat that he spent what seemed like an eternity on. "Start with the Hyuuga situation, then move onto the samurai. I don't believe there is much I can do about Ichi's imprisonment considering what else we have to face. I won't pretend to understand what insane person relayed the message that Dhan the Destroyer could possibly be alive, but save that for last. The Meho are scattered and it would take him some time to assemble his troops, that is, if he really is alive. Assuming that is true, I can't imagine he'd be completely normal. At the very least, the wounds I gave him would take some time to heal." Shinichi finished and nodded for her to speak. Without order, they would only drive the village into a worse of a mess than it already was.

'Relax, Tenmoki-san,' is what the madman said to her, which didn't put her at ease at all. As he went on in a speech pattern that wasn't fitting for him at all, Yuki began to question everything. Shinichi hadn't want to be Kage and now here was the opportunity for him to give it up and he wasn't jumping at it? He was speaking of harmony? Rationality? Yuki had been trained by Ichi to detect even his genjutsu and he was the strongest man alive in that art. There was no way this was a Henge trick. "We don't have a war fund. We're not soldiers, we're shinobi. Our goal is to stop the war from the shadows before it breaks out. You don't understand the art of the Shinobi, because you've been a soldier most of your life. Every decision you've made without my advisement has brought this village down. If you haven't noticed, there is no harmony. Its me scrambling to get everything organized while trying to keep a constant eye on you, because the heavens know you're bond to muck it all up at least twice a week," the woman said as she slowly turned around to face Shinichi after he had brushed past her.
"Any sane person knows that if you destroyed the heart of a man he dies. And assuming that its true, whatever force brought him back surely did something to heal him," Yuki said as she began to walk to the door. "I'm not making decisions for you and I'm not chasing you around, because I am not your mother, Shinichi, nor your psychiatrist. Once you've come to realize that this village is for shinobi and should be led by shinobi, you let me know when you're ready to let me become Kage. Until then, I will merely be a medical nin, not your anbu, General Harada" Yuki said bitterly, turning in her position as Shinichi's anbu. She could respect Ichi, but she had tried and she could not respect Shinichi. She hoped that while he thought, he would realize what he had been saying all along; 'assemble his troops', 'war operational funds' and 'either of us are fit to be Kage.' The woman knew it wasn't between her and Shinichi. It was what the village needed, and they did not need a General, they needed a Kage. With the disturbing title, she had given Shinichi as her last words, Yuki turned to leave, not gathering up any of the scrolls she had brought in on the desk.

[Exit to Next Day]
A single ray of light streaming through the tattered earthly drapes woke the flame head from his disturbing slumber. He wrenched his eyes from the oblivion of sleep, took one glance at the broken desk before him he turned into an ottoman, and wished for once he was not one of those rare men unable to return to sleep. It was a habit he'd retained from his proud days as a soldier.
A groan escaped the man's lips as Yuki's harsh words from last night hit him like a craggy boulder smashes against a soft underside. Like it or not, he was still in love with the glory days from when he had power, when everything was alright, and when he didn't have to think about responsibility or morality! He missed having one code to follow, set rewards and punishments, and just plain knowing his place in the world. Now, faced with so many variations and the frightful concept of having to assume leadership of a nation he wasn't 110% in love with... well... Truth be told, he wasn't ready. Not yet.
But, he would be. Shinichi massaged the headache characteristic of restless sleep, grabbed his robe, set the robe down, and marched out. He wouldn't wear that Kage's robe until he had earned the title.

Himoto read through the report for a fourth time. Then fifth and sixth. She kept reading until it was on the ninth time in which the woman stopped. Her head was hoping that those well crafted eyes of the Hyuuga had slipped up and that some of these casualties weren’t actually there. That the red haired demon was still around or the medical master was safe and sound. Sadly this was not the case. It seems every other word was either ‘M.I.A.’ or ‘DM Sickness’. Coming in as number two was the word ‘Injured’. One palm went to her forehead. She was never much of a drinker, but Himoto felt in the upcoming months she’d frequent Prodo’s bar more than the locals. The situation was nil at best. Worst of all the Hyuuga were not going to give their full support in the matter. Worst of all they sent her alone. “Why me…” the woman said aloud trying to figure out why. She remembered the speech clearly that was had with the head of the clan.
I can tell what you’re thinking Himoto. Even behind these bandages my eyes can tell. Don’t think of this as a punishment. I am entrusting you with my daughter’s life too. I believe you are the best for the job. You’re heritage makes you most adapted for this.. The few veins around her eyes grew in slight frustration. Was it because she is of the Branch families that she was chosen? Would no one from the Trunk belittle themselves to help Shimagakure? It was frustrating. Although Himoto knew there were other reasons behind it too. For some reason they wanted her out of the mansion. The woman began to wonder if it was linked with the disappearing clansmen. The elders thought that the vanishings would have increased in lieu of Black Spring, but instead they stopped. Like a calm before an approaching storm. Everyone came to the fact that leaving Kanami in the mansion was the most dangerous place, hence why she was brought back to Shimagakure earlier this year. Still why didn’t the mansion give her any aid in this arduous task that the shinobi island is in? The woman exhausted most of her contacts to gain information all around the mainland on the whereabouts of shinobi that they all decided to take a vacation from chatting with her.
The other task in this restoration was to gain the people’s trust. How? Himoto was not Ichi, Shinichi or Yuki. Despite her own strength and talents the woman was not on the same level as those three nor the three devils that landed on Shimagakure. They swept her aside like a broom on dust. Himoto was lucky that she did not end up like the other shinobi either missing or hospitalized. “Those three… they had the power to face off against the Kage and Anbu officer of the island. They also were able to take on the Two tailed…” the Hyuuga woman contemplated. She wondered what happened to those three and Nibi. The twin tailed in its weakened state made a frantic run into the ocean. Himoto could only guess that the three pursued it. “That did seem to be their target in the end..”.
Picking up a few books and papers, Himoto got up and made her way to the door. She would need to think of what to say to the villagers. In the next few months… no weeks she would have to get dramatically stronger and learn all she can. At this point in time Shimagakure could not survive another attack like Black Spring. Himoto closed the door behind her.

Seiko stepped into the office and immediately removed his hood. He had been sent to aid this crummy village to the best of his abilities. From what he had seen this place needed more work than he was capable of. This new Kage from what he heard was a young one as well. Why was he sent here? Of all the strong shinobi in the earth country they sent him. Seiko was an assassin, not some teacher or miracle worker. This task was going to be a challenge, but if he had something to say about it, these shinobi would be better skilled to handle another attack like the one that cause such mayhem.

Himoto was shuffling through different papers of the village. Files on rebuilding, files on environmental control, files on shinobi roster, files on overseas policy, files from fire country, earth country. So much of it! An entire forest of papers was probably chopped down to make all these papers. Kids growing up always think that a leader’s occupation must be the post fun thing in the world. How little do they know that once you’re on top it is nothing other than paper work. Himoto’s ink brush would become mightier than her jutsu. Before the woman could find the file that she wanted her mind felt a presence coming into the office. More like a shadow looming over her. The person was much over the six foot mark on his way to seven. A sleeveless coat and scar over the right eye were the most distinguishing characteristics of this person. It took a few seconds for Himoto to process who this is. She had not the pleasure of meeting him as yet. It was an Earth Country file. “You must be Wolvine Seiko?” Himoto said.
