"Exactly. But what I like most about weapons are the swords of any culture... and any sword made of damascus or higher quality folded steel, when the layers are etched... it makes wonderful patterns. A sword is a sword to me, though most western swords are non-sharp... I like a bit of edge to my blade."

"Well, the rapier is fine for its particular class of fighting, but I don't think we should compare the weapons... in their own circles, they serve their purpose, and it's not the weapon... its the wielder."

Well, I've learned from my experience in the Circle, that the naginata is a superb weapon for Water/Shade Elementa. Thusly, being used in the sheer elegange of swing and posture its used in. Overall, bringing a fluid movement, through artistic demonstration and overall usage.

A sword is defined by the blade no matter how dull it is. Beside that it is said a trained swordsman can cut through stone with a bokken.

i dunno about a wooden sword cutting throug stone. maybe it being so blunt would break stone, seeing how ppl can destroy stone and wood with thier bare limbs. the force being appileid must be stonger than the objects resistance.

The very thing that makes a sword a sword is a blade. If it doesnt have a blade its something else.

What about Nunchucks, Whips and Blade Fans? They are all pretty amazing weapons, and I wonder what Elementa could serve them best...
