Her parents gave birth to three cubs: Blake, Lakoni and Sashi, and basically in that order. Both parents were sorta on drugs and shy quite a few brain cells by the time the cubs were born, and so neither one thought anything of it when it was discovered Blake had been left behind one morning. They really cared less about their little ones, and so waved Sashi off when she just decided to up and leave one day since her parents were ignorning her. Sashi believed she could find more attention elsewhere, that such a pretty lioness as she was deserving. Lakoni, however, was the level-headed one of the group, and she stayed with her parents for awhile just trying to get noticed and win some sort of approval. It never came. Her mother was a sort of 'witch' in the sense that she both had the affinity towards plants that Blake possesses (and Lakoni does as well) and the bad luck that wherever she went, bad things happened. Eventually she gave up, and did leave her parents as well, and found a truly wonderful mate. However, her mother's 'curse' kept following her. Shortly after the birth of her two sons, a tragedy befell the pride she was in at the time, and in retaliation of bringing this so-called 'curse' down upon then, they tricked her mate and one of her sons into an ambush and murdered them, then banished Lakoni. Byron was her only son to survive this simply because he'd originally wanted to stay with his mom, but then had changed his mind to follow his father and brother, only to arrive right when the trap was sprung and he watched them die. Lakoni joined Benoni's pride in an effort to keep her son safe till he was grown, and now that he is, basically she's searching for where she belongs. She has no idea if her siblings are still alive, and as she's heard no news of them, believes the 'curse' might of killed them as well.
