Aren nodded at the woman politely and watched her as she poured the water in the glasses, and served it at their table. She was quick to do all this since at the moment, the place was almost empty. Smiling beneath his cloak whispered, "Thank you." though the girl was quite in a rush to do work so he doubt that she heard him.
But now back to business.
"Now sir, listen to me well." he turned to the man, now with a serious tone in his voice, "Those bottles are the ones who will protect you. They are dusts or the new life. The ones who will save humanity. Take care of yours well and maybe your race has a chance."
...Maybe that was too much of a human to take? Now he had to see if the human believed what he had said, or if he had taken his advice as a joke.

...
The look that Silver gave to Aren at the moment was probably priceless. Pure shock with a little bit of what the hell for good measure.
Of course he'd heard tales of demons lurking in the night, who hadn't ? But, that guy had to be pulling his leg, right ?
"...Excuse me ?" At least he'd managed to keep his voice low enough. Somehow.
Dusts... New Life... "...So, the bottle would be... alive ?"
That sounded ridiculous.
....Yet... I was the only damn answer he'd gotten. He wasn't sure if he believed this man, but... at least he could get more information. The worst that could come out of it was that it was a prank and he'll get laughed at later. A little ridicule never killed anyone.
And... the consequences of him not listening, if this somehow was true, sounded infinitely worse. Silver managed to smooth his features down, hopefully before the waitress took notice of it, and tried to get his thoughts in a straight order.
"How am I supposed to take care of it then ?"

"Yes, I agree." Lan stood and put the money on the table where the waiter could see it. Lan had a sort of odd feeling about the situation. "I have a feeling they didnt stay where we told them too...." he muttered, walking out with Mia and weaving through the crowd to where they once were. The gut feeling was to find Krinn before he did something idiotic. Moving to the side of a couple, he glanced back at Mia. "Krinn likes to wander off....So him and Sable might be..." He faultered and looked around. Of course. Nowhere in sight. s**t. Where was Sona? If they wandered off he should have come back and got Lan for it. Rubbing the back of his head, Lan glanced at Mia. "Where do you think they would go?" He asked, looking around and starting to feel panic bubble. Hopefully they hadnt done anything stupid.
Krinn noticed that Sable wasnt all too happy and wondered why before being intrigued by the music box for a moment. Such a peculiar thing it was, making music from its little case. He would have to ask Lan about getting one later because the music was just beautiful. He didnt know why, but it held a melancholy feeling to it. Looking up at the girl who spoke next, he cocked an eyebrow for a moment and oddly stood, looking over at Sable. "I'm Krinn." he said, glancing at the two. He didnt know whether to like Millie or not. She was nice....but was that a good thing or a bad thing? Lan didnt really mind it, but it seemed Sable did and he was turning out to like Sable as a sister type person. "We were following the stream and exploring, thats how we got here." He glanced at her again. "The people we were with are talking right now." He frowned wondering if Lan was going to be mad with him if he came looking. Then he watched Sona jump from his shoulders and skirt away. Silly cat. "And who are you?" He asked, looking oddly at Millie and Tori.

Quite confused on the man's expression, Aren did not say anything at first. He sat there and looked intently at his face, waiting for an answer.
The man had asked some questions and Aren just stat there calmly, trying to find a nicer way to talk to the new guardian about demons, death, killing, magic, dusts and other things that were obviously different than what humans had been lead to thinking.
"Alive, yes. And take care of it when it grows. Treat it as if it were your child." he nodded and closed his eyes, "You are one of the new guardians of life dusts. Be honored."
Aren then stood up from his seat, ready to leave. "You will know more once your bottle grows." he said fixing the white scarf on his mouth.

"Uh... Uh... Okay." Shock what still there, of course. Probably why the thought of holding the odd man back and bombarding him with yet more questions had not crossed his mind.

He looked at the guardian for the last time, and bowed to him. "I am Aren."
Aren then moved to the side and stumbled a bit upon feeling something in his body, it seemed that some dust aura was concentrated in one place-- he had to investigate that. His scarf slipped a little, making him panic a little and fix his scarf yet again, to hide his skin. He hoped the human hadn't seen anything.
And with that he bid the man farewell and went out of the door of the coffee shop, following his intuition. He would find the children life dust somewhere, somehow.

Unfortunally for Aren, Silver did, in fact, catch a flash.
...White ?
But then, he blinked, and Aren was gone. It took yet a few more seconds for the white-haired man to realize he'd let the other slip away.
...s**t.

No answers would come from his constant wandering around. No amount of inquiries would stir up the right information.. this, Marijus realized. In turn it frustrated him more. So much so, that he had found himself slouched in a window booth at the tavern of which he called home. He didn't bother going upstairs to his appartment it wouldn't change things.
Instead he had ordered drink after drink, allowing his usual demeanor to slip that much more. This was not good, for a man who could barely hold his liquor gave up a lot of information. Thankfully, only the tavern keeper (his landlord as well), remained in the bar. With the festival taking place not many would grace these walls until much later in the evening. As such, a drunken biomedical doctor sat idly in a window booth barking at the offending object that had put him in his current state. "Aye, yae be mockin' me yae do. Nae know this, nae can see it!" He roared, the barkeeper snickered lightly from a distance. Thankfully this was not new to him and so he left his tenant to his own devices as he talked to the strange bottle sitting on the table. "THIS IS YAE FAULT!" He cursed sliding back in his seat almost threatening to spill from it altogether. "A demon yae be. Can't be nothing but a demon to be haunting mae like yae doin'. Find some strange bottle and suddenly grow attatched...what was nae thinking?" He pointed a finger at the bottle, glaring as he accused it of his current state.
"Dis be proposturous! Nae never go without solving a puzzle for so long... why cannot nae figure yae out?" He questioned but then realized that he'd already given the bottle an identity just short of a name. "Get out!" He roared as if the bottle would grow legs and leave him. "Out! And pay de bill as yae go!" And as he slurred out his last demand he dropped his head hard on the table, passing out from over comsumption of alcohol. If the bottle had any inkling of life in it, it'd probably would have been laughing histerically right about now.

"Alright so here is what we do." Mia started and turned towards Lan who seemed to be slowly nurturing a panic attack, "I go buy the tracking collars, you track them down, then I put the tracking collars on both of them while you hold them down." She smiled, and waited for a reply, "No seriously." she added, "Sable has vanished at least five times on me thus far."
Sable thought this 'meeting' process was boring. Here they weren't moving, they weren't seeing anything new...at this point she would have preferred to stay back near the bookstore, walked around a bit, and not had Mia pissed off at her. The trade off was growing worse by the moment. But she'd still wait to see what this girl was like. Who know she may be cool and know some nifty places to sneak off to.

"I'm Sable," said the girl, "Not just 'someone' thank you."
"I'm Krinn," said the boy.
Millie flinched at Sable's reaction, but she smiled to tell them her name."I'm Millie... It is a pleasure meeting you," she said in a polite voice. Upon hearing the boy's explaination of their journey to find the source of the stream, Tori flinched. The forest these days were becoming much more dangerous, and two children like them in a hazardous place like this didn't really fit her taste. Tori snapped the music box close. "You know what?" she said, grabbing Krinn and Sable by their hands, "We should get going to the town... They will be worried, and...It's really dangerous out here. I'm sure your parents won't be happy that you came into the forest." So with that, they were off - Tori holding their arms, almost stomping out with Millie following them a step behind. It seemed that Krinn and Sable was too stunned to comment. Millie giggled - it had been a long time ever since she had many company.
It was only a few mintues walk from the pond. The town was filled with movements; the stores were open, people were shopping, and many children were laughing around playing tag. "Now," Tori said, breathing deeply, "where would your parents be?"

Lan sighed and rubbed his head. The idea was good, certainly worth it to keep those two in the same place or atleast be able to track them down. Rubbing his head once more, Lan glanced up as Sona hopped down on his shoulder and growled irritably. "That sounds like such a good idea. Except Krinn's never actually disappeared like this before...usually hes just around the corner." Lan rubbed his head. Then he turned to Sona. The cat looked irritated, like Krinn had accidently stepped on his tail again. That was not a good experience, and one that Lan didnt look forward to repeating. Looking at the cat, he patted Sona and looked over at Mia. "Fortunately, I've got a bloodhound trapped in a cats body on that boy." He joked a bit pathetically. Then Sona started to run off again, and Lan looked over at Mia. "The best thing we can do right now is follow him and hopefully he wont just lead us to a fish market..." Lan said before trailing off at the impatiant cat who was already turning a corner and skitting off.
Krinn frowned at the contact and flinched. Lan usually wasnt one to be so straightforward with him, and he usually didnt like people randomly dragging him back from an adventure. Glancing over at Sable with an "oh well this sucks, we've been caught" glance, Krinn looked over at Tori. "Lans not my parent." he said defiantly, making a face at the very thought of that. He didnt even know if he had parents, but Lan was only taking care of him. He didnt even remember anything but the mans voice and the cat before he woke up to being underwater and oddly feeling like he had just awoken from a long nap. Puffing out his cheeks, Krinn turned his head to the side. "Lans just my guardian." He wrestled his arm away from Tori's grasp, getting uncomfortable with it and looking around. Sona tottered out from around a corner and Lan bent down to put out a hand for Sona to sniff and then climb up onto. Shifting around once he was on the boys shoulder, Sona mrowled fiercly as Lan almost crashed around the corner, falling into a pile of boxes in a restless attempt to catch up with the mad feline. Brushing himself off, Lan stumbled up to Krinn and bent over, hands on his knees as he caught his breath.
"Kriiiinnnn...." He hissed dangerously low as the boy shifted his gaze to the sky and back and sheepishly smiled. Well he knew he would get in trouble sooner or later. "Hi Lan. Fancy meeting you here?" Lan straightened up and put his hands on his hips, Krinn putting his own hands up in defense. "You guys were taking too long so we decided to explore. I'm sorry if I made you worry." There was no real apology in that explanation but Lan didnt expect one because Krinn never regreted going on an adventure, even if he got caught in the long run. Lan looked over at Tori and then backwards, wondering if Mia had followed at all. He noticed Sable, but decided Mia could talk to her later on seeing as the girl seemed to know how to care for the winged child better then he did. Looking at Tori, he put a hand behind his head. "Sorry about this....." He mumbled, as Krinn crossed his arms with a puff of his cheeks. "I'm Lan. I hope Krinn didnt cause much trouble..." Krinn shook his head. "Dont worry I didnt." He said, while Lan looked over at him sheepishly once more.

Sable glared at the girl who practically drug her back to town. No fun really this one. When they arrived Krinn's "guardian" crashed into him, which was slightly amusing. Sable smiled at Mia who had her hands crossed and asked innocently "Yes?"
"What is with you?!" Mia asked seriously, totally ignoring the strangers. "You run off and worse you take someone with you?"
"Who said that I was dragging anything?" Sable defended herself, "He suggested most of the places we went!" Her eyes shimmered and she gave such a sad and defenseless look towards Mia as she finished with "I would never purposefully try to get anyone, but myself, lost!"
"Like I'd believe that." Mia turned to the lady and her daughter, "Thanks for bringing her back, I'm Mia, and this girl is staying with me." She explained to the woman and child, "Only just recently of course, so we haven't laid down any proper manners..." She bowed to them, "Thank you again." she spoke before dragging Sable home.

Marijus woke up a few hours later realizing he had drunken himself into a deep coma or something to that effect. The bottle rested in front of him giving off its putrid smell while the mist danced around it animatedly. Was it mocking him?
"Aye, what are yae lookin at?" He barked groggly sitting up as he wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth. Looking around it was early yet, no patrons would grace these walls until later when the celebration really kicked off. As such, Marijus got to his feet snagging bottle in hand he waved to the barkeep/landlord and headed up to his apartment where he would crash promptly thereafter. All in all the day was spent running in circles but at the very least he knew there was something special about his bottle.
The silver haired lad had made it quite clear with his lack of information. Something special indeed. It was now up to him to find out just what that special something was.
... Exit Marijus ...

Lan had been so intent on keeping Krinn out of trouble that he had hardly realized the time. Hearing an ever so fateful ring of the bells signaling it was probably late afternoon, Lan perked up. Oh. No. "I'm....so...late!" He said, grabbing Krinns hand and turning on his heel. "Thanks again for finding Krinn!" he said as the boy protested hotly against Lans hand and swatted it. "Mia, I hope to talk to you again soon, and it was a pleasure meeting you Sable! Bye!" he said, running around a corner with Krinn rambling and loudly moaning about Lan being a worrywart. The young adult almost ran into a couple of barrels and crates on his way down the street, realizing that he would get a large complaint from Dasity once he reached the cafe. Oh how odd this day was going so far! Running as fast as his legs could carry him, Lan turned a corner and burst through the door.
Crash, thwack, BAM!
Dasity's broom collided with his head, while Krinn ran full on into the black and blond haired man, sending all three of them crashing to the ground. A typical day at the cafe, of course. Lan sighed, listening to Dasitys irritable complaints as she dragged him through the cafe, rubbing her sore rump all the while. Krinn had taken a seat next to Willow and Jeckal at the counter, rubbing his own head in irritation as they all greeted eachother. Oh well, it had been nice while it had lasted. Lan thought about the earlier events as he got to work in the kitchen, his day having only just started....

"Um.. I'm just glad that they are safe," Tori said with a little smile, "and don't worry, they weren't really much of a trouble." Although Tori has only met Mia and Lan for a couple of minutes, but she could tell that they did care about the children. It was somewhat similar to herself and Millie - a friend like relationship.
"Lans not my parent ...Lans just my guardian."
Krinn's words echoed in her mind. Perhaps Krinn and Sable was just like Millie...maybe they also don't have any memories of their ealier life, and they did seem.. a bit familiar?
"I'm hungry, Tori," Millie said in an agitated voice.
"Oh Ah, yes... Sorry about that Millie," Tori replied, then spun her head around to face the kids and their guardians. She crouched down to match their eye level, then put her hands on their shoulders and said, "Be nice, okay?" and before they snapped out of the stunned faces, Tori stood up to talk to the guardians, "It was a pleasure meeting you both... I hope to meet you again."
Millie waved at Krinn and Sable as she walked away. It was really nice to finally meet someone her age, but hunger couldn't wait any longer. The day's just beginning, and who knows - she might meet more kids in this big town.
-Exit Tori and Millie-
